One trend that can be seen in the EU countries is that employees want to exit from the workforce before they turn 60 years. A Dutch study of some EU countries has noticed that an early retirement from labor in many countries is considered as a social right. This has created an ?early exit-culture?. Large early outflows of the labor have created an institutionalization, the right to cease work early. This right, to exit early can depend on that the employees in organizations have different social background, different education and different life experiences. These underlying factors bring forth special preferences and state how employees should behave. We found it as interesting to examine if different groups have similar preferences or if they differ. Our aim with this essay is to study desired pensionable age, and to explain the pension prefaces that influences the desired pensionable age negatively or positively. The aim is specified in the following research questions: FF1. Are there significant differences in pensionable age between groups? FF2. Are there any correlations between the groups? pensionable age and preferences of the pension?? The case study was characterized by a qualitative and a deductive method, our intention with the choice of method was to collect information that was simple to systematize through a standardized form, i.e. to collect information through a questionnaire. We sent out 250 questionnaires and received 116 responses. We consider that there are no obvious differences between the groups in the company, but there is a tendency of an early-exit culture. The average desired pension age is 60 years. During the analysis we were surprised by the weak correlations between the pension preferences and the desired pension ages among the employees. We present the few positive and negative correlations that we succeeded to identify in the sections 6.2.1 and 6.2.2.
