Upplevd livskvalitet hos personer med MS


Many persons with long-term illness experience a decline in their quality of life. Perceived Quality of Life is a subjective term based on prior personal experiences and is highly individual. The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate perceived Quality of Life in persons with Multiple Sclerosis and to get knowledge if physical therapy changes a person?s quality of life. Three women and three men with a range of disability were interviewed in depth. The interviews where analysed in content. The results shows that Quality of life is highly individual: like having a supportive family and well-being. Some informants thought that Physical therapy improve a person?s quality of life. By knowing the persons physical impairment and the perceived quality of life it is easier to adjust the physical therapy because it gives a knowledge about what a person think is important in his/her life.
