When I got the opportunity to write this examination did I want to write about something that I both was interest in and also can use in the future. I think it?s going to be difficult to carry on the milk production with only 28 cows. I wanted to investigate the possibility to increase the herd of cows. I also wanted to compare this cost with a new cow house the cows where milked with a robot. To both alternatives you also have to build something for the recruiting. I have also done some drawings and calculations on that. The current farm is called Lilla Djupsas and are placed in Vastergotland. Today it?s works two people on the farm. The cost to build a new cow house with a robot was 64 497:- SEK/cow place (62 cows). The milk tank, pump burnt and the big burnt are included in the calculations. The recruiting building should cost 3 380:- SEK/place. In the old cow house was the rebuilding cost 2 281:- SEK/cow place and the recruiting building should cost 4 909:- SEK/place. The reason why it?s a so big difference between the both alternatives is because you need to build a new cow house in one alternative. In the other alternative you only need to do some small adjustments. Even if this is sheep to build, so is the running costs larger, because it needs two people who handle the animals. As it looks today it?s not so easy to employ a cowman, so I think the future is to build a Sweden Cow house with a robot.
