Sjuksköterskans kunskaper om omvårdnadsåtgärder vid svårläkta sår

In the nurse's profession ulcer care is a common nursing intervention. Being inserted in methods of treatment and updated with evidence-based knowledge is therefore an important part of the nurse's work. Chronic ulcers are expensive for health care and occupy a lot of time. Knowledge is therefore important for ulcer healing, for the patient comfort and to reduce costs. The aim of the study was to illustrate the nurse's knowledge of nursing interventions of chronic ulcer. A literature study was done and the result showed from 12 scientific articles. The result includes nurses' lack of knowledge of ulcer care related to how they used them in practice. The knowledge about the prevention of ulcers, nursing interventions, the importance of diagnosis status and knowledge of the patient's perspective. Sources of information turned out to be mostly based on experience, and the evidence fell away in ulcer care. Education gave more knowledge that improved the healing possibilities. Nurses' evidence-based knowledge about ulcer care must therefore be continually updated and improvement knowledge should be sought. More education on ulcer care should be sought in nursing education to promote the wound healing process in patients in the future. It recommends research and survey of Sweden ulcer care training.
