This paper is an account of the work around the arrangement and registration of the archive of the Swedish Art-ists? Association?s archive. The Swedish Artists? Association is an association of artists that both makes exhibi-tions for their members? works and handles the Artists? House, called Konstnärshuset in Swedish. During the work with the archive the author faced a number of challenges and problems. These took the form of both how to structure the material of the archive into an easily accessible structure, and how to handle the occasions when accessibility and the original order of the archive would not co-exists. In the few cases where this happened the author made the choice of accessibility over the original order. Discussions of literature and the possibility of removal of extra material from the archive are discussed in the first part of the paper while the second half con-sist of a discussion of the different parts of the archive, what material was put there and why. In the end the au-thor makes some reflections upon his work and discusses what could have been done better. The work with the archive started in early April and went on to the middle of June, although the writing of the paper continued until the end of August.
