Tre biblioteksbloggar i fokus ?En kvalitativ innehållsanalys

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the content in Swedish library Weblogs. We want to examine what the posts contain, especially on the subject knowledge organization. Which themes do the Weblogs have in common? How the Weblog authors categorize their posts and how the readers use the comment function, are other questions we seek answers to in the thesis. We have performed content analysis where we created the code units during the process.

Den sportjournalistiska bloggens karaktär : En kvantitativ innehållsanalys

The aim of this paper is to describe the characteristics of the sport journalistic Weblog. To achieve this we have used the following questions: Which themes are included in the sport journalistic Weblog? How much text does the sport journalistic Weblog content? How often is multimediality incorporated in the sport journalistic Weblog? Which references occur in the sport journalistic Weblog? How many hyperlinks occur in the sport journalistic Weblog? How many of the hyperlinks is internal respective external? How often does the sport journalistic Weblog offers possibilities to interaction between the journalist and the reader? How often does interaction between the journalist and the reader occur?The theories we have used is both online publishing and Jan Schmidt?s analytical framework on blogs. Online publishing describes an important part in our paper, online journalism, which in turn describes three important definitions for this paper; hypertextuality, multimediality and interactivity. Jan Schmidt?s theory is central to understand the phenomena, and functions as a starting point in the analyze part.

The usability of the Internet increases for every year. The Weblog phenomenon makes it possible for anyone to easily publish, find information and get in touch with other people through the net. This Essay treats the possibilities the Weblog medium offer Swedish libraries and librarians in library contexts. The purpose of the study is to examine the Web phenomenon: Weblogs, and their significance for a total of eleven Library Heads and librarians together with their view on the Weblog activity at each library connected Weblog, to get comprehension and new knowledge on the usability of Weblogs in the library sector. The foundation for the Essay consists of a qualitative interview study, built on asynchronous e-mail interviews and telephone interviews with blogging librarians and Heads of libraries.

Abstract: This study is focused on blogging from the perspective of the individual. Weinvestigate why one uses the Weblog format, functions on the blog that are seen to work asdriving forces, attitudes towards self-disclosure and anonymity on the Weblog and how therelation between an online- and offline-identity is interpreted by the bloggers themselves, forexample to what extent it is possible to get to know the blogger by reading the Weblog.Finally, we investigate the Weblog-readers meaning to the blogger, as well as their possibleimpact on both his or her personal blog-content and the everyday-life.The empirical material consists of half-structured interviews via MSN Messengerwith nine informants, being bloggers found on the Swedish website bloggportalen.se. Thetheoretical framework behind the interview guide focuses on the identity concept, containingidentity theories in psychological and sociological perspectives, symbolic interactionismconcerning the concept of roles, as well as Bauman?s liquid theory on postmodern societytendencies. This material is further included in related previous research articles, derived fromboth international and Swedish databases.

Weblogs, or blogs, are frequently modified web pages with a series of archived entries, generally in reverse chronological sequence. This thesis focuses on the rapid-growing phenomenon of Weblogs and the fact that individuals with a background in library and information science are frequent users of Weblogs. Since this is an explorative inductive study the ultimate purpose can be described as to find out what ?blogging? as activity is about. The research questions posed are: Why do individuals with a background in library and information science use Weblogs? How does their professional identity affect their blogging? And finally; how do they use the Weblog to create networks with other bloggers? The empirical material consists of audiotaped interviews with five informants who are all employed in knowledge work, either as librarians or information specialists.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine three library Weblogs to evaluate how they are used and what type of information the libraries publish in these specific Weblogs.The following three questions are the basis of this study:? What is the content of the Weblogs?? How is the Weblog used as a tool by the libraries?? How is the interaction between the library and the readers of the Weblogs presented regarding the comment function?The method that has been used in this study is content analysis and the code units have been created during the process. It is mainly a qualitative analysis but it does also contain quantitative elements. With the content analysis, 21 different themes where cut from the three Weblogs. These themes where then put into the model of the local library profiles worked out by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen.

Men and women have been writing books, articles, letters, diaries and different types of literature for centuries. Many new electronic publication systems have arisen in the past few years, one of them is the Weblog. In 1999 there were 23 Weblogs, today there are millions thus a need for organisation has appeared, both special metadata and subject indexes have been invented and created. The aim of this thesis is to answer the question what democratic potential blogs can have. This question will be answered by initially studying the research that exists today about Weblogs and democracy. The second part of the analysis consists of a selection of texts from Weblogs that touches this subject.

Kollaborativ blogging

Denna uppsats handlar om kollaborativ blogging. Blogging innebär att inlägg publiceras på en förprogrammerad webbsida med hjälp av ett bloggverktyg. Med kollaborativ blogging avser jag en situation där två eller flera personer delar med sig av information och kunskap genom att kommunicera och interagera med varandra på en blogg. Jag har i denna uppsats valt att undersöka på vilket sätt bloggar kan fungera som ett verktyg för kollaborativ informations- och kunskapsspridning inom en grupp. Fallstudien som jag använt mig av är HUMlabs mobila blogging på Jokkmokks vintermarknad 2004.

Den trojanska bloggen : Bloggreklam, en effektiv marknadsföringskanal?

Purpose  The purpose of this paper is from a consumer perspective analysis whether or not blogs are affecting a customer?s purchase behaviour to a larger extent compared to traditional marketing methods through TV commercials. Additionally, within the scope of this try to identify the type of consumers that are more influenced to a purchase decision by blog contents compared to others.Methods Through a quantitative approach this study will examine the effectiveness of advertising in blogs. A survey was used in order to collect data where the respondents corresponded to the population in Sweden in the ages 15-79. Initially the size of the blog audience was estimated and thereafter it was examined how many of these that were affected towards a purchase decision by blogs.

Bloggen inom journalistiken : En kvalitativ intervjustudie av bloggens produktionsprocess, funktion och framtid inom journalistiken

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur produktionsprocessen av bloggar ser ut i relation till produktion av mer traditionella medieprodukter. Den huvudsakliga frågeställningen lyder: Hur ser produktionsprocessen ut för bloggar under redaktionell flagg? Vidare har vi även jobbat med följande delfrågor: Vad är redaktionens skäl till att införa bloggar på hemsidan? Vilka eventuella fördelar och/eller nackdelar finns med bloggar under redaktionell flagg? Under vilka villkor produceras bloggarna? Hur ser redaktionen på formatet bloggar i framtiden och dess utveckling? Metoden vi använder oss av i denna studie är personliga intervjuer och det empiriska materialet består av intervjuer med personer på den undersökta tidningsredaktionen, vilket inkluderar två skribenter, en webbchef samt en annonsansvarig. Materialet har sedan behandlats i relation till följande teoretiska utgångspunkter: Medievärlden i stort och dess förändringar med utgångspunkt i nya medier, nyheter och journalistik på Internet och dess produktionsprocesser samt teorier om bloggar och dess roll inom journalistiken.Studien har visat att bloggar är ett sätt för redaktionen att följa med i den teknologiska utvecklingen på ett naturligt och avslappnat sätt. Bloggen som format erbjuder många fördelar, bland annat lyfts läsarkontakten fram som en positiv aspekt.
