Upplevelse & Inlevelse : En kulturarvspedagogisk studie av Hogslaby Järnåldersby, Botkyrka kommun

The main purpose of this study is to view the aims of the local authority of Botkyrka for their prehistoric Village, and to compare those with the actual activities in the Village.Because of no official formulated aims, the study were laboured through interviews, observations, analysis of evaluations and a parallell literature study. For the visiting pupils today, the Village has an introduction, but not a follow-up. Pedagogically the follow-up is the most important part, seeing that it?s there the knowledge is created in relation to the experience.Through experience-pedagogy, based on learning by doing, try to attain an experience intended to generate knowledge. But in this case, the focus lands on doing, and the reflection fails to occur. This is a learning based on the situation, rather than on the reflection, situated learning..

Jönköping's municipality requested a diploma work witch would present the experiences, as arisen during the existence of the echo Village Smeden. To recive information for the background, literature at the university library were searched at the database "Libris" with words like "echo Village" and "ecological living".Data was retrieved from 28 questionnaires that were sent out to the inhabitants of the echo Village Smeden. The questionnaires contained questions about experiences, opinions, ideas and thoughts about living in this echo Village. The results were analyzed and presented by diagrams and tables and showed that the inhabitants where most unsatisfied with the sewer and the system of the toilet. In the opposite the inhabitants experienced that the remaining systems were in satisfactory and the majority of the inhabitants were very pleased with their living conditions. Conclusions of this study are that an echo Village would be a suitable alternative to an ordinary living and that ecological living would be something that would work well even in the future. An important thing to remember is that the systems of the households must be easy for the inhabitants to maintain otherwise the environmental thinking would be in risk of failure if some don?t have the energy to manage this properly..

Fibulas vikingaby på Åland - En undersökning om hur man kan förbättra, utveckla och tillföra nya idéer till en nutida vikingaby

In this essay I try to look into how to bring a new concept to an already established Viking Village and how to develop the existing one. This essay also sheds light on some negative sides that a Viking Village can experience in their activity.I have interviewed responsible persons at three different Viking Villages: Foteviken Museum and Viking Reserve, Fornföreningen Fibulas Viking Village and VikingaTider. I have also examined different kinds of literature dealing with my chosen Viking Villages.I came to the conclusion that I should have chosen an other Viking Village than VikingaTider because a lot of VikingaTiders activity hasn´t really started yet. On the other hand it has been interesting to see how they are trying to start the activity and which their plans are. I could have chosen an other already established Viking Village to get a more varied material. There are a lot of things that Fibula can do to improve, develop and bring new aspects to their concept.I have found both advantages and disadvantages with the different Viking Villages activity and strategi.Different questions about authenticity has shown to be the most difficult problem.

Hållbar stadsutveckling ? studier av Malmö och Prag

There are numerous questions to be asked when your task is to plan a small community?s future development. Is it possible to suggest something new and modern? Allt utom byn Sökandet efter en vikingatida by i sydöstra Blekinge, med områdena runt Järrestad på Österlen och Sorte Muld på Bornholm som jämförelsematerial.

The purpose of this essay is to see if Villages or bigger settlement locations can be found in south-eastern Blekinge during the viking age. There have been many archaeological findings from this period in Blekinge, for example grave findings, ring-forts , old roads and ancient harbors. But no evidence of a Village has been found yet. If south-eastern Blekinge is compared with the area surrounding Järrestad on Österlen in south-eastern Skåne and the area surrounding Sorte Muld on Bornholm, many likenesses can be seen. In this essay, the findings in Blekinge will be used as different components when the three areas are compared with each other.

Om stenar kunde tala : arkeologiska rön och bebyggelsehistorisk kontext av kvarnstensbrottet Östra Utsjö i Malung

This paper deals with Village history around millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö in Malung, Sweden, in the hope of finding deposits that could date the quarry, in that the quarry in the current situation is dated only by the millstone fragments outside the resort. My purpose was to conduct a discussion on the quarry alone can be dated by deposits outside the resort. I have used FMIS RAÄ:s fornsök and a lot of literature to identify Village history. The results showed that it is not possible to date the millstone quarry from Village history, but through deposits outside the resort of Malung, which have been found around Mälardalen, Sweden through archaeological excavations, and derived from the millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö, can put an age on the quarry..
