Focus is put on how gender, sexuality and ethnicity is portrayed in textbooks for religious studies in upper secondary school. The textbooks are also examined as a resource based on their Usefulness. To do this a hermeneutic approach was taken and the textbooks were studied based on the knowledge they provided and their readability.

Background and problem: Financial reports are created for the users as decision support. Stakeholders are often subjects to information asymmetry. Banks represent one of the primary stakeholders and financiers of a company, and place great emphasis on financial reports in their credit assessment process. Cognitive recovery is necessary for the patient to be able to assimilate the information that she / he gets postoperatively. It also increases the patient safety. There are few methods to estimate and assess the patient's cognitive recovery before and after anesthesia. The purpose of this study is to test the Usefulness of the instrument PQRS and to assess the patients cognitive recovery after anesthesia.

Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet användbarhet i mobila webblösningar med inriktning mot tidningsbranschen. En jämförelse mellan de två aktuella designfilosofier, dedikerad design och responsiv design, för den mobila webben har utförts genom att fokusera på användbarhet, där centrala begrepp studerats. Begreppen är som följer: Usefulness, Efficiency, Effectivness, Learnability, Satisfaction. Mixade metoder i form av enkätstudier, heuristiska tester, användartester, intervjuer och prestandatester har utförts för att samla in empiriskt material för analys och för att sedan ge en slutsats angående vilken av de två designfilosofierna som tenderar att ge hög användbarhet i system som exempelvis tidningssajter i mobilen.De mest intressanta resultaten var att, sett ur användbarhetssynpunkt, var båda designfilosofier likvärdiga, majoriteten svarade att de testade sajterna fungerade på liknande sätt. Alla uppgifter kunde utföras utan större problem på båda sajterna vilket uppfyller kravet för effectivness.

In this bachelor thesis the aim is to explore how university libraries and researchers function together. I will do this through interviews with phd students and examine how they reason on the use of libraries and other resources available in campus and witch other methods they use to gather information. The graduate students differ in where they are with their research process, but all of them work in the field of social sciences. To help me in my analysis I have adopted Wilsons model of information behaviour and modify this to better suit my purpose. My findings show that they mainly use the library to access materials and avoid use of the librarians, due to perception of low Usefulness.

Problem discussion: Syncron experience a challenge in realizing the full market potential of its newly developed IT-based price management system, Global Price Management (GPM). The system has already been implemented and is currently running with success within the IT-structures of the first customer. The fact that the development of the system has been initiated by a customer, and thereby has left Syncron oblivious of the real underlying drivers and incentives for the development, is part of the problem. Understanding the customers? incentives for developing their pricing process thus reducing the application uncertainty is a good starting point.

The DuPont formula is one of the most well known and basic tools used for financial statement analysis and is highly useful for understanding firms strategies and operating environment. Previous studies on American listed companies have also shown that analysis of the changes in the DuPont components is useful in forecasting contexts. In this thesis we test whether disaggregating the change in return on net operating assets provides incremental information about future performance for Swedish listed and not listed companies. We find that the change in asset turnover is a leading indicator of increased profitability for both listed and private companies, regardless of size. We also find evidence that the Usefulness of the disaggregation for understanding future performance is greater in capital intense industries and lesser in service industries..
