This thesis explores the effect of using a new media in the marketing mix. SL, in cooperation with Clear Channel, has covered the outside of an entire carriage, 46,5 meters long, in an Underground train with an advertisement for a company. This new form of advertising has taken place in the Stockholm Underground system during spring 2005. The five companies participating in this project are MTV, the Aftonbladet/Sportsbladet, Eniro 118 118 SMS, Heinz and the Gallerian.An empirical study has been carried through to survey the motive for companies to market themselves, their brand and product/service, by using the outside of a carriage on an under-ground train as a gigantic, mobile bill¬board. The study also investigates the commuters? attitude regarding this form of advertising.

The City of Gothenburg has an urgent need to upgrade its public transport. The capacity of its light rail transit (LRT) has reached maximum capacity within the inner city limits years ago. The construction of an Underground metro will be very expensive and time consuming due to the soft clay beneath the city. The apparent need of developing another type of mass rapid transit (MRT) is urgent. Divisionen Underground Rock Excavation på Atlas Copco tillverkar kundanpassade gruvmaskiner i världsklass till kunder i mer än 170 länder. Från inköpsperspektivet är majoriteten av leverantörerna svenska men de dyraste komponenterna köps in från utlandet. Detta gör att stora krav ställs på både logistiken och produktionssystemet. De senaste årens ökande efterfrågan har lett till att materialförsörjningen har svårt att hantera de volymer som krävs och till följd uppstår störningar. En effektivisering och kapacitetsökning är nödvändig och därför kommer detta examensarbete att handla om kartläggning av material- och informationsflöde samt bristidentifiering av störningar i materialflödet.

In this thesis a rural network in Norrbotten, Sweden, has been to designed and planned with the purpose of improving distribution reliability by exchanging existing overhead lines with Underground cables. General network design considerations are discussed as well as the ones for the specific low voltage grid. During the design phase the maximum power of domestic consumers has been estimated using Velander?s method. Currents, voltage drop and impedance of the network have been calculated and fuse operation and selectivity has been considered.

The report is a master thesis about energy efficient measures for an Underground facility Hemsö fortress.Several proposals are evaluated economically.Statistics of the electricity used and measurements of several heat pumps are analyzed to find energysavings potentials.The results indicate that several units of a dehumidification system are responsible for over 70 % of theyearly electricity cost. The air that is being dehumidified by these units can otherwise cause damage ofculturally important interior designs.The proposal with highest profit suggests an alternative method for dehumidification. The cooler in theair handling units in Hemsö fortress have capacity to dehumidify the air. However complementary fansneed to be installed to circulate humid air towards the air handling units. The solution can be implementedin three different locations within the facility.

Metoden är både kvalitativ som kvantitativ och bland annat så undersöks olika typer av antisemitiska uttalanden som därefter nivåsätts enligt en, av författaren, modifierad skala konstruerad av forskaren John C.G.

The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an Underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..

Problem: The great interest towards the company?s values has contributed to it becoming more common for individuals to seek out organizations that have a strong corporate culture. Where you work and whom you work for has thus become the dominant factors instead of what you are working with.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the corporate culture, the rational and emotional benefits are experienced by the employees of the company. The aim is also to examine whether the corporate culture can become a management control measure by good communication between employees within the organization.Methodology: The essay is based on a qualitative research method and empirical data were collected through interviews from the company MTR Stockholm.Theoretical Frame of reference, Edgar Schein, Three Levels of Culture, Seven dimensions.Results: The study has shown that there are different cultures within the company. But also that there is a strong corporate culture within the business, the respondents feel an affinity with working within the Underground rather than working for the company MTR Stockholm..

The purpose of this report is to simplify the process of designing carbon fiber strengthening for existing concrete constructions, specifically beams. The intention has been to establish a flow chart containing information on the necessary testing and calculations for the design, to as far degree it is possible satisfy the requirements stipulated by Swedish and by extension, European authorities.To do this the report will examine a parking garage situated Underground by Akademiska Sjukhuset, Uppsala. The parking garage was built in the mid-seventies, and has in recent years been subjected to a greater load than designed for by the construction of a road on top of it. FEM-Design has been used to obtain the internalforces of the beams and thereby determine whether they are in need of strengthening or not and thereafter design the strengthening according to Täljsten (2006) with some corrections from Täljsten (2011) due to new regulations.The result of this report is that the flow chart used is viable to design carbon fiber strengthening, atleast with the conditions met in our reference project.The conclusion drawn after working with this report is that there is a need for a clear standard for carbon fiber strengthening , preferably a standard that can be used throughout Europe..
