Den här uppsatsen behandlar ett konstnärlig projekt i vilken upphovsmannen arrangerade ett antal låtar ur afroamerikansk Tradition för symfoniorkester. Syftet var att undersöka arbetsprocessen vid överföring av denna typ av musik till detta specifika medium. Metoden som användes var skisser och intervjuer med professionellt verksamma arrangörer som underlag för att skapa och analysera det konstnärliga materialet. This essay comprises a study of the bridal crowns of Tjust, with respect to their national history, concept and aspect of mythological symbol. The Tradition of bearing the parochial bridal crown is closely associated with religious medieval politics, and has also come to include elements of superstition and folklore. Attention is paid to these aspects dealing with the position of the bridal crown within current forms of Tradition and culture and the impact on brides of this day and age. The aim of this study is to explore the approach and views on female genital mutilation(FGM) among young women from Somalia, and how they perceive the Tradition afterimmigration to Sweden. This is structured under the following questions: What do theyknow about FGM? What are their experiences? And what do they reckon about FGMtoday? The study is based on one recorded interview with a group of young femalesfrom Somalia. The data were analysed using qualitative content analysis. The women?sfeelings were ambivalent though they on one hand opposed FGM because of serioushealth risks, but on the other hand were conscious of the Tradition?s great influence inthe social network and daily life.

Different ways of naming the two pitches between A and C exist in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The Germanic Tradition uses B and H, whereas the Anglo-Saxon Tradition uses Bb and B. This study deals with questions about male and female, power and church, related to the Mariologies of three prominent leaders in the Church of Sweden in the last century: Erling Eidem, Paulina Mariadotter and Cristina Grenholm. The mentioned topics are important for conservative High Church people as well as for radical feminists, and they are therefore necessary to address in the context of discussions about the church´s identity and the search of greater unity.Each Mariology is related to contemporary ideas about the relations between male and female, and to the Tradition of the church as the leaders themselves see it. During the years 1920-2010 the relations between the sexes changed a lot as a result of the impact of modernity, which also affected how people perceived the relationship between the individual and the Tradition/authorities. The present study concludes that there is a connection between Mariology and contemporary ideas about male and female. Uppsatsen behandlar bönders världsbild under två perioder, före (1796-1800) respektive efter Laga skifte (1886-1890). Studien är avgränsad till Höks Härad i Hallands län. Den empiriska undersökningen baseras på suppliker, insända till Hallands läns Landskontor och Landskansli, som analyserats och tolkats med en hermeneutisk metod. Karl-Johan Ödmans teori i vilken bondebefolkningen genomgick ett mentalt skifte mellan Tradition och modernitet i samband med Laga skifte har fungerat som ram för tolkningen av materialet. Undersökningen visar att kännetecken för Ödmans Traditionella paradigm återfinns i undersökningens suppliker från den tidiga perioden medan de moderna kännetecknen inte är lika tydliga under sin period.

This paper is about skiing and Swedish nationalism during the late 19th century and early 20th century. The aim is to investigate why skiing was considered so eminently suited for the incorporation of certain ideals in the national fellowship.The paper accounts an analyse of texts and documents about Swedish skiing from 1897-1924. Skiing was a nationalistic concern from the very beginning of this period. It was connected to heartfelt feelings towards the Swedish nature, the patriotic upbringing of the youth, as well as the health of the nation. Over the years skiing also became an increased object of sportification.

This essay is about the religious change that Jing-cult underwent 600-1500 A.D. It is a historical-critical essay based on literature studies, using Ha?kan Rydving?s theory of religious change. In chronological order, it will go through the religious change from ancient Japan to the late Muromachi-period when Shinto was created. It describes the early temple- cult, buddhism's mission to Japan and how the Jingikan was created.

De lokala kursplanerna i bild står i centrum för denna studie. Syftet är att utifrån tio lokala kursplaner beskriva, analysera och tolka bildämnets innehåll. Syftet är även att belysa och problematisera bildämnets innehåll i spänningsfältet mellan Tradition och förnyelse utifrån de lokala kursplanerna.
