The following research-questions have been chosen: In which ways are made visible when Toddlers interact with each other during the free play? Which repeated patterns are there in Toddler?s interaction with each other? The method that was used was observation. Implementing of observations happened during five days on a pre-school. Observations show that the interaction makes visible in various ways when it comes to Toddlers, for example through observing, laughing and using the verbal communication.

Kamratkulturer på förskolan. : En observationsstudie kring 1-3 åringars lek i förskolans vardag

The purpose with this study was to find out about the preschool Toddler?s peer-cultures. I also wanted to understand how these peer-cultures were shown. My questions are as following:What is it that the children interpretive and reproduce in their play? How do children gain access to play? How do children exclude each other? What position of status can be seen in children´s play?I used observations as the method to find the answer to these questions. These observations where implemented during five occasions at two different preschools.

Toddlarlek : En fenomenologisk studie om 1?2?åringarnas sociala samspel under fri lek

The aim of the study was to investigate peer interaction among Toddlers 12 to 30 months of age and the teachers? ways to direct the children?s play in outdoor free play situations in a Swedish preschool. Data was gathered through direct observation, and the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty in combination with the assumption of children as social actors built the theoretical framework of the study. The results showed that the Toddlers used different strategies to invite peers to interaction and made use of strategies in entering ongoing play that previously have been observed among older preschoolers. These strategies, bodily and therefore in accordance with the phenomenological approach, support the assumption of Toddlers as social actors that actively engage in and make sense of their life worlds in the preschool.

Background During the child?s first year of life there is a continuous contact with the Child Health Services (CHS) and the parents feel confident and involved. After the first year, the visits to the CHS is reduced at the same time as the everyday life changes for the family as the child starts going to day-care and the parents often go back to work.Aim To examine what it is like being a parent to children aged one to five and what kind of parenting support parents of children aged one to five are in need of.Method Semi-structured interviews were used to interview 25 parents in 21 telephone interviews and one focus group with 4 parents. The recruiting of parents was done on site at one open day-care and with the help of CHS nurses in Sweden. There were 10 men and 15 women.

Toddlare och demokratiarbete : om inflytande och delaktighet hos förskolans yngsta

The purpose of this study was to find out how young children are allowed to influence and affect their daily lives in preschools, as well as teachers? views on the latter. My interest in this topic is born out of my experience of working with both younger and older preschool children. My view is that democratic work with older children is largely based on direct verbal communication while with Toddlers it is based on an adult?s interpretation of a child?s often non-verbal expressions.
