Test is an area in system development. Test can be performed manually or automated. Test activities can be supported by Word documents and Excel sheets for documenting and executing Test cases and as well for follow up, but there are also new Test tools designed to support and facilitate the Testing process and the activities of the Test. This study has described manual Test and identified strengths and weaknesses of manual Testing with a Testing tool called Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and of manual Testing using Test cases and Test log templates developed by the Testers at Sogeti. The result that emerged from the problem and strength analysis and the analysis of literature studies and firsthand experiences (in terms of creating, documenting and executing Test cases) addresses the issue of the following weaknesses and strengths.

Test bench for air bearingsThis thesis work consisted of bringing forward and defining the Test parameters relevant for a Test bench and constructing a Test bench that can Test and verify the largest existing air bearings that are of use in Micronic Laser Systems AB machines. Because the knowledge about air bearings is limited it is thought that with the help of the Test bench the knowledge would increase and in that way improve the air bearings.After learning more about air bearings and their purpose at Micronic Laser Systems AB, I started the concept phase for the Test bench. For each part in the Test bench I consulted my two tutors, Torbjörn Hedevärn and Johan Bergqvist, at Micronic Laser Systems AB. The final concepts where documented as 3D-modells in Solidworks and some of them have been Tested in Solidworks FEM-program.The Test bench is designed so that, with the help of a pneumatic cylinder, 25 kilo weights are placed on the air bearing to Test its stiffness, damping and the pressure performance under its surface area. To Test these parameters the Test bench has to have a pressure meter, accelerometer and a microcator.

This paper investigates the usability of the intelligence Test Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability (WNV). Twenty four children in two different age-groups were Tested with WNV, 10 children between ages 5 - 6, and 14 children between ages 9 - 10. The WNV turned out to be a useful Test when some verbal communication was used in the Test situation. This was especially apparent among the younger children, who needed extra verbal instructions and verbal support through the different subTests. The Test also contained standardized verbal instructions for all ages.

A personality Test is a useful tool in recruitment contexts. Studies have shown that participants distort their answers in a socially desirable manner. The purpose of this study was to investigate if people respond more or less socially desirable depending on how they rate themselves in a personality Test, based on the "big five" personality dimensions.Eighty people, (40 women and 40 men), 19-42 years, (M= 24,1 SD= 3,76) rated themselves on a personality Test. Group one, (20 women and 20 men) completed the Test on paper. Group two, (20 women and 20 men) completed the Test verbally.

This is a study of the national Test in 3rd grade. The national Test is obligatory and is conducted in 5th and 9th grade, but since the spring of 2009 the Tests also become mandatory in 3rd grade. The case study of this research is to find out how children in 3rd grade perceive the purpose of the national Test. The survey should also clarify how students think and feel about the national Test, and how they feel before the national Test and after they have finished writing the Test. Has the Test positive or negative influence on children? The survey will also show how much teachers clarify what the significance of the national Test is for the students.

Att genomföra ett Test som alltid ger samma resultat kan i längden kännas omotiverat. Strauss Test är ett Test som funnits länge för att Testa stålets känslighet mot interkristallin korrosion. I detta arbete har Strauss Test utvärderats i syftet att få fram ett underlag som kan användas för att starta diskussioner om en förändring i provningsmetodiken. Anledningen till att en förändring behövs är att alla dessa, ej informativa, Tester kostar pengar. För att få fram underlaget har en litteraturstudie och experiment genomförts.

This bachelor thesis includes two different manuals and design of an interface box between a Test object and a general Test station (computer) with ARINC429 communication.There are three different purposes with this project:The first is to setup a general Test station with ARINC429 communication using a communications card from DDC (DD-42916i3-300) and software from Ampol Technologies (dataSIMS).The second is to design a new interface between the Test computer and the Test object. As well as implementing two components in the equipment.The third is to write two separate manuals to guide the users of this equipment. There are two different kinds of users of this equipment, technicians and system engineers. Technicians use the equipment to Test and repair flight components. System engineers will implement new components in the equipment.The result of this project is a working Test station with a new interface and two manuals..

Syfte: att undersöka om resultatet vid 6-minuters gångTest (6MWT) påverkades av ökad grad av uppmuntran.Metod: 30 friska personer ?60 år rekryterades via bekvämlighetsurval. Alla Testpersoner genomförde tre 6MWT. Första Testet var en försöksomgång. Ett Test (Test A) utfördes med standardiserad uppmuntran enligt American Thoracic Society(ATS).

Swedish school children exhibit deteriorating knowledge results in terms of reading comprehension. Previous research shows that a method to increase the level of knowledge is the use of evidence-based learning techniques. Test based learning generates what is commonly referred to as a Test effect, which proved to strengthen the relationship between learning and memory, as well as being applicable to various Test formats. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Test based learning, in terms of learning english words leads to increased performance in a reading comprehension Test, more specifically a cloze Test. The study was based on a within-group design and was conducted three times over four weeks.

In today?s IT world where software is constructed in a rapid pace, Testing has become a crucial area to master when Testing has to be done at a greater speed. To still be able to handle the demands of high quality software, companies have to spend more resources on Testing and introduce Test automation. By automating Test cases the Testers can gain time which they can spend on doing more complex Testing and thereby increase the quality of the software.In this thesis we have helped Extenda AB, who delivers systems to retail companies, to introduce Test automation in one of their customer specific projects. This has been done using their own in-house ?capture/replay? tool ECP (Extenda Cashier Player).We have also derived a process that explains how Extenda can introduce Test automation on other customer projects.

Tidigare forskning har varit oenig gällande vad ett SJT (situational judgment Test) mäter. Studiens syfte är att undersöka vad SJT mäter genom att korrelera SJT-poängen med poängen på personlighets- respektive begåvningsTest. Ytterligare en frågeställning är huruvida SJT skulle kunna vara ett användbart komplement till övriga arbetspsykologiska Test. Totalt genomförde 130 personer fyra olika Test; ett SJT, ett personlighetsTest samt två begåvningsTest (ett logiskt och ett matematiskt Test). Resultatet av en regressionsanalys, med poängen på conscientiousness, agreeableness och g-faktorn som prediktorer av SJT-poäng, gav R = .31 och Adj R2 = .07.

This thesis engages the topic of Test methods for wood adhesives. Two Test methods were evaluated, EN 302-1, a European standard, and ASTM D905, an American standard. The total amount of specimens manufactured and Tested was more than 500. The adhesive bonds were Tested in shear with an increasing load on the specimen until failure.The adhesives used were epoxy-resin, phenol-resorcinol-formaldehyde and a 2-K polyurethane. The Test programme included five different types of intentional errors per method, in order to investigate the sensitivity of the Test methods.
