Ungdomsvåld : Ungdomars föreställningar om ungdomsvåld och dess orsaker

The purpose of this essay was to examine Teenager's views on violence among young people.Our main questions were: What kind of views on violence among young people do Teenager's have? What do Teenager's think about what causes violence among young people? In what way does scientific knowledge confirm young people's views about what causes violence among young people?To answer these questions we designed a questionnaire which we distributed in three 8th grade classes. We also interviewed five Teenagers about violence among young people, to get a deeper knowledge about their views.The results of this study show that the Teenagers think that violence among young people has increased and that the violence mostly appears between different groups of young people. The Teenagers also think violence among young people as a phenomena due to different kind of reasons..

Tonåringars upplevelse av att ha drabbats av cancer : en analys av bloggar

The aim of this study is to describe Teenagers' experience of being diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis very dramaticaly changes the lives of a Teenager and its relatives. Cancer is a loaded word that most people associate with death and the Teenager and its relatives generally react with despair and anxiety towards. Adolescence is a very emotionally difficult period with many physical and psychological changes, and it is therefore particularly difficult to suffer from a serious illness like cancer during this period. The method used when conducting this study is qualitative content analysis of various blogs written by Teenagers living with cancer and resulted in six categories.

Idrott och doping : En studie om idrottande ungdomars tankar om idrott och doping

The purpose of this study was to look at Teenagers' thoughts and ideas regarding sports and doping, and what they think about information on doping.Important questions for our study were:What do sports mean to Teenagers?What thoughts do Teenagers have about demands and expectations in sports?What thoughts do Teenagers have about doping?What do Teenagers think about information on doping?What factors do Teenagers think affects a Teenager to use doping?The study was made from a qualitative approach. The material consists of twelve interviews with Teenagers in the age of 16 - 18. Sports mean a lot to the Teenagers in our study and they don't approve of doping in any way. Many of the Teenagers asked for more information about doping.

During adolescence the Teenager tries to become an independent individual, something that for many individuals can be experienced as"a hard time". In early childhood the individual was closely connected to the parents, but during adolescence friends and new contacts become more important. Studies in developmental psychology have most often adopted a parent-perspective, which is why a child-perspective is required. The aim of this study is therefore to measure the Teenager's relationship with parents and friends and to look for possible correlations between these. As a means of measuring quality in the relationships, the IPPA, the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, was used.

The aim of this paper is to analyse how subject, gender and sexuality is constructed in the book Dårfinkar & dönickar (1984), by Ulf Stark. In relation to this I have also analysed how the main character, Simone, develops from being a child into becoming a Teenager.Queertheory is the theoretical basis of this paper. Queer theory questions heteronormativity and aims to dissolve conceptions and notions that function in an excluding and limiting way. Queer theory also questions conceptions that seem obvious and/or natural, for example ?woman?/?man? and ?homo-/heterosexuality?.I have chosen to focus the analysis on a number key events in the book and they are categorised according to Tiina Rosenberg`s three dramaturgic concepts: transformation, unveiling and restoration.

"Då känner man mer att man hör till samma grupp på något sätt" : Ungdomar med diabetes - studie av en stödgruppsverksamhet

This study aims to examine how adolescents with diabetes describe and value their experience of participating in a support group and how they describe the issues of being a Teenager with diabetes. This is a qualitative study and we have interviewed three young women who have been participating in a support group. The results of the interviews were analyzed through a phenomenological method and then compared to earlier research and interpreted through symbolic interactionism and Erikson's development-theory, which were our theories of choice. Our findings support earlier research when stating that support groups are important and necessary for adolescents with chronic illnesses. Our interviewees stated that they think that one of the most important benefits of support groups is to meet other people in their situation; same age and same chronic illness..

Kön och missbruk i sociala utredningar

I have done a qualitative literature study, in which the data consisted of descriptions of drug abuse in ten social inquiry text documents (that also are applications for institutional care) concerning Teenagers. Social welfare secretaries representing two social welfare offices in Malmö, has written the text documents. The purpose of this essay was to examine thedescriptions and, if possible, try to make out and describe stereotyped themes and patterns depending on gender. To obtain the purpose of this essay I searched for answers of the following three central questions:- What appears to be the social welfare secretary's purpose in describing the Teenager's drug abuse?- How is the parameter gender related to the descriptions of drug abuse in the social inquiry text documents?- How are other possible gender-stereotyped descriptions of the Teenager related to the descriptions of drug abuse?In the analysis of the descriptions, which where the foundation of the study, I found patterns in describing drug abuse depending on gender.

Mötet med vården, den egna mognaden och stödet från nära relationer: En litteraturstudie om tonåringars, med diabetes typ 1, upplevelser av vad som utvecklar deras egenansvar för den personliga hälsan

Diabetes typ 1 är en alltmer vanlig sjukdom bland barn och tonåringar. Att vara tonåring och samtidigt ha en kronisk sjukdom är en utmaning och ställer krav på tonåringen. Tonårstiden kretsar kring att frigöra sig från sina föräldrar och utveckla sin egen identitet. Sjukvården har ett stort ansvar att ge en så god vård som möjligt och hjälpa tonåringen genom denna period i livet då tonåringen ska utveckla ett egenansvar för sin diabetes och hälsa.Syftet med denna uppsats var att belysa tonåringars, med diabetes typ 1, upplevelser av vad som utvecklar deras egenansvar för den personliga hälsan. Uppsatsens är en litteraturstudie bygger på kvalitativa vårdvetenskapliga artiklar.

När en förälder dör : En studie av tre fiktiva tonåringars identitetsutveckling och coping vid förlust av en förälder

The purpose of this study is to examine how the identity of Teenagers is affected by the loss of a parent as well as what coping strategies support identity development. The reactions the Teenagers exhibit, in such circumstances, will also be examined. To accomplish this,  a theory package was created, comprising theories in developmental psychology, identity work, coping and theory of grief reactions of children and Teenagers. This package provided a broad perspective, which facilitated the analysis. Furthermore, it made it easier to address the purpose and the issue of the analysis.

C-mig : En kvalitativ studie om tonåringars identitetsskapande på Facebook

The aim with this work is to understand and point out how significant Facebook is for Teenager´s identity-construction. Through interviews with six Teenagers, three boys and three girls in the age of sixteen and seventeen, I investigated how Teenagers use Facebook and what purpose these interviewees put out to be members at Facebook.The interview-material then was analyzed from selected sociological/social psychology theories and also previous research. The study showed that the interviewees self-presentations for the sake of their awareness was more characterized of reflexivity than spontaneity. Because of their broad audience they choose to not write or publish too private information about themselves on Facebook. Despite a reflexive approach the identity-construction on Facebook could be affected of other people in a negative direction.

Samtiden reflekterad i historiska filmer

In this essay I have studied how the film industry in the USA has worked with history in movies ever since the birth of film. I have also studied if Swedish Teenagers are influenced by the contemporary reflections often showed in these movies. Furthermore I discussed how to work with contemporary reflections on film in a classroom.In these studies I used a group of Teenager in the eight-grade. I stated of by asking the Teenagers a verity of questions about movies and their interests in movies. Afterwards I showed them four different scenes from two different movies which all included reflections to today?s society.

Att skapa allianser och förståelse. En studie om olika professioners arbete med tonåringar som har ADHD.

The aim of this study was to investigate how various professions within the treatment of ADHD is working with the diagnosis and the importance of the diagnosis has been at work. We also want to investigate what the different professions think of the diagnosis, what it has for opportunities or limitations in treatment. The chosen professions are two nurses, two treatment assistants, a psychologist and a psychotherapist. When we interviewed our chosen professions, we have used a qualitative approach with semistructured interviews. Through our interviews we got the opportunity to take part in the various professions' knowledge and experience of working with Teenagers who have ADHD.
