This essay begins with a literature study of the different propagation methods for Roses, and a survey of the factors affecting the rooting of cuttings in general and rose cuttings in particular. The main part of the essay consists of a practical study of the rooting of rose cuttings. I have chosen to examine how the time of year when the cuttings are taken, and the position of the cuttings influence the rooting. Three different cultivars were used as mother plants; ?Maria Lisa? and two Burnet Roses; ?King of Scots? and ?Poppius?. The mother plants were container grown ?King of Scots? and ?Maria Lisa?, and outdoor grown ?Poppius? and ?Maria Lisa?.

I have observed that hedges are not as prevalent in gardens in the north of Sweden as in the south despite a number of beneficial qualities attached to their use. Consequently, the primary purpose of this essay is to examine the potential for the use of ligneous or woody plants as hedges in a cold climate. The aim of this study is to provide information about the various varieties of ligneous plants that can be used for both pruned and unclipped hedges in the north of Sweden. Because the hardiness of the ligneous plants is a vital factor here, only plants that are hardy enough to survive in the Swedish hardiness zones V to VIII are included in this study. Roses, dwarf shrubs, conifers, bushes with a final height of less than 1 metre and plants that ?bleed? have been excluded.

This report was an outcome of a cooperation between ?The Visitor and Knowledge Project Carl von Linné? and SLU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Science. The aim with the cooperation was to create a garden and to suggest suitable plants for an orangery already built. All species suggested should have a documented relationship with Carl von Linné. The project is located in the southern part of Sweden at an estate named Möckelsnäs not far away from Linné?s birthplace.

This work consists of two studies. One is based on an inquiery to nurseries with production of woody plants, and the other on visits to gardencenters, primarily in Skåne but also in Stockholm. Inquieries where sent to 87 nurseries, 48 of them replied. The purpous of the inquiery was to make a thorough investigation of the ligneous production at the Swedish nurseries, what is produced and in what quantities. Within the inquiery was also a thorough look at the fruit tree production. This to be able to conclude what cultivars that are produced and how large part of that production that is certified according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV).

The aim of this Master thesis was to examine news journalism covering expressions of mourning related to violent or unexpected deaths. What rituals for mourning are brought out in media and do media present guidance to how mourners should behave? The questions examined were: What characterised news events that leaded to texts on expressions of mourning? How was grief framed? Which narrative patterns were there in the texts? How was the deceased represented? How were the mourners represented? 165 texts, from Swedish daily newspapers, covering 93 different news events were analysed. The methods were mainly discourse analysis with focus on identities and relations, but also semiotic analysis with focus on staging and symbols and narrative analysis with focus on patterns for storytelling. The result showed that a news story about ordinary people expressing their feelings of grief has elements of melodrama. The news story is based on the myth of the victim, and formed as a typical story where equilibrium is disturbed when the inconceivable happens and the mourners can by their actions restore equilibrium.

Med dessa förändringar uppstår det nya förutsättningar för att öka lönsamheten och det blir allt vanligare att företag söker nya källor till billigare inköpspriser. Kina har under en tid varit en populär marknad för europeiska företag och på senare tid har även småföretag börjat söka sig dit. Mindre företag arbetar med annorlunda förutsättningar gällande tid och resurser och det är därför intressant att se huruvida detta påverkar de faktiska problemen som kan uppkomma vid inköp av varor från Kina.Syfte Syftet med denna undersökning är att undersöka vilka problem som småföretag stöter på när de köper in varor från Kina, se vilken bakgrund som föreligger vid dessa problem och hur våra intervjuade företag har åtgärdat dem.Metod Författarna har i uppsatsen använt oss av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där de utfört intervjuer med fem olika företag som följer, Flugorna, Galvin Green, Hall Miba, Vartex och Vendotec. Ett deduktivt angreppssätt har använts där en teoretisk referensram har byggts upp som sedan har använts för att formulera våra intervjufrågor.Teori Den teoretiska referensramen innehåller generella teorier som har med inköp från Kina att göra.

Av analysen kan Michelle sammanfatta att om hon skulle starta en kvartett i framtiden för till exempel lansering skulle hon ha en kvartett redan färdig och redo för repetition innan start av liknande projekt. Momentet att hitta potentiella medlemmar till stråkkvartetten på så kort tid är orimligt och även om hon hittade medlemmar till kvartetten så skulle det inte hålla i längden. Efter att Michelle fått erfarenhet av personer som inte hållit de muntliga avtal som faktiskt gjordes kommer hon lägga mer tid på att finna rätt personer. Dessutom hade alla de punkter angående mål, promotion och avtal diskuteras med kvartetten detaljerat för att allihop ska få en likvärdig respekt och förståelse i det samarbete som komma skall. Inget bör vara otydligt.
