This degree project has been carried out on the commission of AB Borlänge Energi. The purpose of thisproject was to Redesign the magazine Energitrycket. The magazine should inform about the current eventsat the company. The work consisted of Redesign of the existing magazine and adjustment to copying andpublishing on the web.This project also contains a research about how paper and colour affect the print results. It shows thatthe maximum contrast and sharp image reproduction is best achieved on woodfree, coated, calenderedpaper with high whiteness.

The purpose of this project has been to Redesign an already existing cook-book. The title of the book (directly translated), ?Season in food ? the year around with herbs and spices?, contains what the headline imposes: spices, herbs and food. But when the author tries to entwine these parts and communicate it to the reader it is not working all to well due to a poor and inconsistent graphic design.I have followed the theories and values of information design when I Redesigned the book layout with the intent to simplify the communication between author and reader. Todays travel trends go towards independence and self planning. If you need advice or help when performing your trip, there are several different series of guidebooks on the market and one of these series comes from the travel magazine Vagabond. This degree project concerns the Redesigning of the travelguides of Vagabond, or to be precise: their cityguide over Istanbul. The purpose of the new design is to assure the resemblance between the guidebook and the magazine, as wanted by the Art Director of Vagabond Angelica Zander.Prior to the Redesigning process preliminary studies that make up the fundamental ideas were made. Three other big titles of guidebooks on the market were analyzed, and in addition a great deal of focus ? considering the final purpose ? was put on the concept of magazine design.

This paper describes the Redesign of a site (Kolonn.se). Some of the problems with the site were a lack of structure and a design that was unclear both visitor and search engines. The site now has a new design and structure that has been taking form in Axure prototypes that has been tested and applied into WordPress. The results are a site with a new main menu, new graphic profile and logo. Also SEO-adapted content such as correctly structured headers, meta tags, descriptions and key words that has been implemented in the content.

The concept of sustainable development has been pervasive in recent years and many organizations choose to implement sustainability and adapt their activities accordingly. The purpose of this study have been to explore how a collaboration on the use of waste materials may look to analyze what influences cooperation. A case study has been carried out examining a Swedish state regional project aimed at creating partnerships between actors and utilizing textile waste with the help of design. The study was conducted using qualitative methods and the collection of data has been done through interviews and by examining documents. The results show that there are seven key factors that affect cooperation: expectations, commitment, internal communication, a strong non-profit actor, individual treatment, personal networks and the diversity of actors.

Vår undersökning baserar sig på ett fallföretags förändring av affärsprocessen lagerhantering. De slutsatser vi kan dra grundar sig på fallföretagets situation och de förändringar som de har gjort. Företaget har som vi ser det genomfört en process-Redesign. För att möjliggöra process-Redesign har Företaget implementerat ett helintegrerat informationssystem med gemensam databas.

This degree project contains a theoretical and a practical part about magazine design. Literature aboutthe subject?s typography and magazine design has been studied and put into practice on the professionaljournal Ingenjören. Besides of that a study about the history of magazine typography for the lastfifty years has been done.Typography and other design factors are important for the magazine to be readable and gives at thesame time the magazine an identity of its own, which has become more and more important throughoutthe last decades.The result of this degree project is a new design for Ingenjören, a design that agrees more with howthe journal want to be considered. A new template, a dummy and a manual have been produced.

Syfte: Syftet med detta arbete är att studera användargränssnittet på ICA-lagrets datorterminal i Västerås och ta fram ett nytt designförslag för det virtuella tangentbordet. Detta för att effektivisera det befintliga användargränssnittet och höja säkerheten för de anställda.Metod: För att nå studiens syfte har ett kvalitativt och tolkande angreppssätt använts, men med kvantitativt element. Intervjuer och mätningar har genomförts med sex respondenter respektive åtta testpersoner.Slutsats: Resultatet visade att det befintliga tangentbordet har brister. Min slutsats är att en Redesign av ett virtuellt tangentbord kan minska feltryckningar och knapptryckningar, öka skrivhastigheten och påskynda navigeringen. Detta bidrar till att det blir mindre trafikstopp, irritation och stress.

This thesis presents my work at the company Fatshark AB in Stockholm. My supervisor Rikard Blomberg, who works as a chief technology officer at Fatshark and is one of the owners of the company, explained that they had experienced weaknesses in the methodology used when developing heads up displays (HUD) for their games. In the latest production, Lead  and Gold, the HUD had been Redesigned a number of times, becoming an unnecessarily big expense due to the number of work hours invested. In modern software development, an iterative workflow is commonly encouraged. Despite this fact, the work efficiency could likely be increased by setting up guidelines as a help in the process of developing HUDs and reviewing the solutions.

This is a master degree thesis at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) betweenÅngpanneföreningen and Programma. KTH is the examiner, Programma is the client andÅngpanneföreningen is mentor for this project.Programma has a product called TM1800 that has problems with EMC; the problem is thatthis product does only pass the CE-check with a small safety margin. This problem can besolved by reducing the radiation from the electric components in the product or by reducing offix base frame. In this degree thesis the focus is only on mechanical Redesign.The main problems right now depends on the long distance between the screws, there is anisolating layer on most of the parts and the forces between the joints are too small. The mainfocus is to solve these three problems.The best solutions are when the whole base frame is more or less Redesigned instead of onlyRedesigning some of the connection points.

Denna rapport beskriver ett projekt där målet är att att komma fram till vidareutveckling av mobil robotplattform, med attraktiv och förtroendegivande utseende, enligt uppdragsgivarens önskemål. Projektet skulle resultera i en CAD-modell och modell i skala 1:10 som styrdes av ett antal krav från uppdragsgivaren i form av en kravspecifikation.  Projektet fortlöpte i huvudsak under vinter 2010 och är ett examensarbete för Högskoleingenjör inom Produktutveckling på Mälardalens Högskola. Uppdragsgivarna på Robotdalen, som höll på att utveckla en mobil robotplattform, Opiflex, ville ha hjälp med Redesign av detta. Vår uppgift handlade om att förbättra robotplattformen Opiflex så att den blir mer användarvänlig. Det fanns ett behov att ge robotplattformen mer attraktivt utseende och vidareutveckla vissa detaljlösningarna. Projektavgränsningar berodde mest på tidsbrist. Begränsad tid tillät oss inte utveckla detaljlösningar för djupt. Ett antal koncept togs fram av helhetsstilen för robotplattformen och därefter valdes ut de bästa koncepten. De två bästa koncepten utvecklades och kombinerades till slut ihop till den enda slutgiltiga konceptet. Resultatet blev en CAD-modell som fick positiv reaktion av uppdragsgivare. Vi anser att vi har lyckats med design av en produkt som utstrålar kvalitet och funktionalitet.

Intresset för sömlösa stålrör med stora ytterdiametrar i förhållande till tunna väggtjocklekar har ökat tillsammans med att högre hållfasthet i olika stålsorter tillkommit. Detta gör det möjligt att tillverka lättare, billigare och mer materialeffektiva stålprodukter med samma eller högre hållfasthet som tidigare.Denna nya utvecklingsriktning medför förändringar och utmaningar i en av företaget Ovakos produktionslinor i Rörverk 5 Hofors, vilket de har behov av att samarbeta med maskinkonstruktionsföretaget BEKAB för att utvärdera och utveckla.I Ovakos produktionslina i Rörverk 5 finns en del av ett asselvalsverk som kallas för "förreducerare". Denna del av asselvalsverket ser Ovako ett stort intresse i att utvärdera och utveckla för att bättre anpassas till den nya utvecklingsriktningen.  En känd utmaning hos förreduceraren sen tidigare är att den från början är framtagen för att reducera ner ett kvalitetsproblem hos rörprodukterna som kallas för trattbildning. Projektet fördjupar sig därför inom trattbildning för att bättre förstå grunden till förreducerarens nuvarande design för att därefter genomföra en Redesign av förreduceraren.I en nulägesanalys av nuvarande förreducerare framkommer ett flertal olika produktionsutrustningsproblem med tillhörande kvalitetsproblem hos rörprodukterna. Projektet väljer därmed att fokusera på de produktionsutrustningsproblem som ger störst effekt för förreduceraren om de löstes.
