Vad anser du vara en verklighet? : Kan en virtuell värld vara en verklighet?

Contents:The evolution of today?s computer influenced society has taken giant steps towards virtual reality, game addictions and the possibility of not having to meet the people we communicate with. What is a reality today?To give a more concrete image of our question we?ve chosen the online game World of Warcraft as an example and to describe our connection to an alternative reality. We have performed different investigations, interviewed both gamers and non gamers, all this to give us the opportunity to see if the term reality has started to change in a direction that will allow us to call this alternative world a reality, or if it?s just a world wide phenomena of for example gaming addiction.

Rekonstruera verkligheten : En receptionsanalys av fenomenet reality-TV i nutidens Sverige

Syfte: Studien avser att undersöka studenters uppfattningar kring vilka behov som ligger bakom till varför studenter väljer att titta på reality-TV och hur de tolkar reality-TV som genre.Metod: Studien är en receptionsstudie med fokusgruppsintervjuer.Slutsatser: Denna studie bekräftar den föreställningen om att underhållning inom realitygenren uppfattas som enkel och lättsam TV. Resultatet från fokusgruppsundersökningen lyfter också fram reality-TV som något underhållande, utbildande och socialiserande att titta på. Reality-TV är enligt vår forskning tätt sammankopplat med en del moraliska frågetecken kring hur underhållning skapas och tittarnas tvivel kring hur verklig verkligheten egentligen är genom TV-rutan..

Detta genom att kombinera traditionell virtual reality med en Head Mounted Display samt headtracking, sedan lägga till relativ positionering. Sammantaget skulle det ge en helt ny spelupplevelse med dig som spelare i centrum. Genom att titta på andra projekt ska vi undvika att göra om deras misstag. This essay was to investigate what self-image public libraries convey on Facebook and what image is received by the users, along with comparison of those. It was investigated if the received image corresponded with the users? previous image of public libraries. The method used was interviews with the Facebook administrators and surveys with the users. The theoretical framework was Kotler?s model for image creation.The research is mainly American and shows Facebook as an accepted marketing tool for libraries among students, but as not taken seriously by the library staff.

This Bachelor thesis deals with fictional documentaries, and the aim is to show the aesthetics and the problems with the constructed reality that these films contain. The main focus is how this reality is constructed, which documentary aesthetic methods can be found and in what way you can see that it is a fictional movie and not a documentary. En precisionsstudie av förstärkt verklighet som positioneringsverktyg

This study investigates augmented reality using third person perspective and what precision can be achieved by using this method. There have been prior studies in regards to precision using augmented reality, however studies using third person perspective is scarce. This study presents a solution using a static camera capturing the user as well as the plane to augment from behind. This augmented image is then transferred to a handheld device that is held by the user. Using this method the user will be free to manipulate and work with the plane without removing the device that captures the scene, a common problem when using visual reference markers in augmented reality.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how power structures concerning gender and sexuality emerge through the use of language in the Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel. Of particular interest is the representation of heterosexual relations in the show. Because of its interest in the relationship between power, gender and sexuality, the thesis is based on theories from gender and discourse studies.
