Uppsatsen behandlar gudserfarenhet och språkbruk hos Jean-Jacques Rousseau och dess likheter med Pietismen. Både Rousseau och Pietismen betonade människans känslor framför förnuftet, i en för övrigt förnuftsorienterad tid. De menade att människans känslor måste tillåtas komma till uttryck i trosfrågor och när de talar om hur människan erfar Gud och det gudomliga använder de liknande ord och begrepp. Studiens syfte är således att studera dessa likheter, med fokus på Rousseaus språkbruk och bildvärld..

Peter Fjellstedt and Peter Wieselgren, priests in the Swedish Church, are among those who were of special importance. But even the British preacher George Scott and later the Swedish layman Carl-Olof Rosenius became aware of the importance of networking. They all felt a call from God to preach a message of redemption and restoration.

This study investigates the judicial process against Erik Molin, a clerk and former theology student at the University of Uppsala 1734-1739. The main purpose has been twofold; first to investigate the legal process through the various judicial bodies and secondly to analyze the ideas and conceptions about man and society expressed by the authorities and Erik Molin. The theoretical approach has been inspired by the German philosopher Jürgen Habermas? theories concerning the emergence of the bourgeois society and the changing concepts of private and public spheres. The study shows that the diocese of Uppsala regarded Molin's theology as heretic and found that he knowingly had tried to spread his views.

I min jämförelse mellan forskarna Emil Herlenius och Cecilia Wejryd har jag undersökt i huvudsak tre delar, Erik Jansson som ledare, syndfrihetsläran samt Janssons relation till erikjansarna, och då i synnerhet till de kvinnliga anhängarna. Det som skiljer sig väsentligt mellan de två forskarna är deras syn på vilka anhängarna var. Wejryds hushållsdimension ger en helt ny insikt och förståelse för Janssons relationer, i huvudsak till de kvinnliga anhängarna. I Janssons budskap och förkunnelse och då i huvudsak syndfrihetsläran som jag studerat skiljer sig inte forskarna åt, åtminstone inte vad gäller innehållet i läran.Däremot ser forskarna olika på hur och när dessa idéer växte fram hos Jansson. Herlenius menar att Jansson i tidiga år ifrågasatte och tog avstånd ifrån uppbyggelselitteraturen och att hans egen kristendomstolkning med syndfrihetsläran var utvecklad redan före den första Hälsingeresan i januari 1843.
