My project is about attitudes towards disabled people, about our fear for those who are different, about acceptance, ideals and Normality.My inspiration has been prosthesis, and mostly people that are born without limbs. Through my research I have come across a lot of questions. Such as, why is a prosthesis so important and for whom? Why is it so important to be Normal? What is Normal and for who? People that are born different se upon themselves as Normal, until they realize that others don?t. Many of them want to learn how to deal with life without prosthesis. And therefore they reject these. Sometimes the prosthesis is aids that are highly necessary.

The study tells you about what difficulties these pupils often have, what adjustments they need in their schoolsituation and the positive and negative effects of joining a special group.A teacher for special needs, two teachers in special groups and two teachers in ordinary classes have been intervjued and earlier made researches have been studied.The conclusions of this study are that the decision of whether a pupil shall go in a Normal class or a special group must be made individually. Most pupils who are capable to profit from the training in a Normal class and pass their examination, shall go in a Normal class. The greater part of the recommended adjustments are possible to do in a Normal class. But it requires more resourses and teachers with better knowledges about theese handicaps..

It is always more demanding and the risk for misunderstanding increases when communicating in noisy environments. The confusions and the mistakes that occur when speech is disturbed are very interesting and happens constantly. The purpose of this study was to examine speech recognition results from the test PB S/N +4 and find out which confusions that are made by the Normal hearing and by the hearing impaired persons in the speech lists 3 and 4, and also analyse the mistakes from a phonetic perspective. Ten Normal hearing and 50 persons with impaired hearing participated in the study. The people with impaired hearing were divided into two groups; DTMV 40 dB HL.The results were compared between the Normal hearing and those with impaired hearing.

En graviditet och förlossning är i de allra flesta fall en Normal livshändelse. De senaste decennierna har andelen instrumentella- och kejsarsnittsförlossningar ökat på bekostnad av den Normala förlossningen. Trots fler interventioner ses ingen skillnad i den maternella och perinatala morbiditeten och mortaliteten. I barnmorskans arbetsområde ingår att handlägga den Normala graviditeten och förlossningen. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur barnmorskan kan främja en Normal förlossning.

Bakgrund: Forskning har visat att förlossningsupplevelsen har betydelse för kvinnansframtida inställning till barnafödande. Forskningsresultat har huvudsakligen presenterats för Normala graviditeter eller där urvalet varit blandat (Normala och komplicerade graviditeter). Begränsad forskning finns om hur komplicerad graviditet kan påverka förlossningsupplevelsen.Syfte: Att jämföra förlossningsupplevelse bland kvinnor som haft Normal graviditet respektive graviditetsdiabetes samt studera sambandsfaktorer för förlossningsupplevelsen.Metod: Studien är en retrospektiv kohortstudie där data insamlats med hjälp av enkäter. Deltagarna (n=444) är slumpmässigt valda bland kvinnor i Sverige med Normal graviditet och kvinnor med graviditetsdiabetes. Kvinnor som fött tvillingar och som inte angivit barnetsfödelsevikt exkluderades från fördjupningsstudien, vilket innebar att data för 429 kvinnor, 326 med Normal graviditet och 103 med graviditetsdiabetes ingick.

I mitt examensarbete har jag undersökt om det lämpar sig att använda en manuell metod för att skapa Normal maps till icke-organiska polygonmodeller avsedda för datorspel. Jag har använt mig av Photoshop för att måla Normal maps som jag sedan applicerar på lågdetaljerade modeller jag skapat, för att höja detaljgraden avsevärt. Då icke-organisk modellering inbegriper modeller som ska representera hårda ytor, och därmed inte animeras med deformation, så antog jag att denna metod skulle lämpa sig väldigt väl åt dessa ytor som ofta har extremt mjuka former och precisa vassare kanter. Min metod har varit att studera litteratur om Normal Mapping och hur man använder Photoshop för detta. Jag har sedan utfört praktiskt arbete för att utvärdera hur effektiv metoden är samt vilka fördelar den bidrar med. Jag går igenom teori för Normal mapping som jag stödjer med hjälp av faktatexter och instruktions-DVDer i ämnet för att sedan redovisa metoden jag använt i mitt arbete. Jag avslutar sedan med en diskussion kring mitt resultat och redovisar vad jag kommit fram till genom mina experiment. Jag kommer fram till att Normal Mapping med Photoshop är mycket väl lämpat åt hårda ytor och även bidrar med optimeringar i arbetsflödet både vad gäller organisering, tidsåtgång samt kontroll över resultatet.

Mammary tumors are the most frequent type of tumors in bitches in Sweden. Many studies have been published concerning mammary tumors, but there is still much to be learned about this disease. One has, since some time ago, had the knowledge that addition to or removal of methyl groups to genes can inhibit or activate gene-expression. Methylation and demethylation is a Normal phenomenon in the body and it is essential for the development and survival of the individual. The risk of developing a tumor disease is increased if the global methylationstatus is changed; if oncogenes demethylates (activates) or if tumor suppressor genes methylates (inactivates). In the human medicine one has seen that there are differences in methylationstatus between different tumors. In this study tumor and Normal tissue from ten dogs were examined with regard to methylationstatus.

This paper aims to examine what reading books convey as Normal for first grade children. The question at hand is to find out what children's reading books convey as Normal within the context of intersectionality with a focus on sex, class, culture and "race". Text analysis of two reading books has been conducted, using discourse analysis with an intersectional perspective. In analysing the texts, selected sections from the books have been examined using the method of close reading. Within the context of intersectionality, classifications have been made and selected according to the categories sex, culture, class and "race".
