De senaste åren har Försvarsmakten genomgått en stor förändring från invasionsförsvar till ett flexibelt insatsförsvar. I takt med denna förändring har även karaktären på de uppgifter som insatsförsvaret ställs inför ändrats. Ett exempel på detta är insatsen i Adenviken där hotet är i form av små snabba fartyg med mål och medel som sträcker sig utanför en reguljär styrkas. En av Sjökrigets grundregler är förmågan till taktikanpassning. Detta innebär att man drar erfarenheter från de attacker eller anfall som genomförs, tar lärdom av dessa och utefter denna lärdom tänker nytt för att nå framgång i nästa drabbning.

The combat mission is an extreme situation with high demands of the soldier. Killing might very well be necessary. Before a mission a soldier can experience stress due to these factors. The purpose of this paper is to find methods to handle stress due to an upcoming combat mission and to the prospect of having to kill. The main questions of this essay: -How can certain parts of the physiological psychology improve a soldiers ability to perform a mission? ? Is the Swedish soldier mentally prepared to kill? Uppdragstaktik får stort utrymme inom manövertänkande, där uppdragstaktik tillämpas för att på bästa sätt ta initiativet i striden vilket är en förutsättning för en fungerande manöverkrigföring. Ett problem uppstår när uppdragstaktik idag beskrivs på olika sätt inom svenska Försvarsmaktens doktriner. Det gör att det blir svårt att få en tydlig bild av vad uppdragstaktik innebär och förvirring uppstår då olika begrepp används i de olika doktrinerna för att förklara uppdragstaktik. Ett exempel som skapar förvirring är att uppdragstaktik i vissa fall beskrivs som en ledningsfilosofi och i andra som en ledningsmetod med olika underbegrepp till respektive synsätt.Syftet med uppsatsen är att framföra ett förslag på hur uppdragstaktik kan förklaras mer lättförståeligt främst genom att minska antalet underbegrepp men också genom att skapa klarhet kring huruvida uppdragstaktik bör ses som en ledningsfilosofi eller en ledningsmetod.De viktigaste slutsatserna är att uppdragstaktik bör tydliggöras i våra doktriner för att skapa en ensad bild av vad uppdragstaktik innebär. Inom uppdragstaktik må en mer detaljerad styrform förekomma.

The aim of this essay is to examine the experiences of an introduction process of newcomers through an integrative perspective, by two guiding questions: How does the examined organization socialize newcomers? How is the organizational socialization experienced by the employees? Most Swedish corporations engage in some form of workplace introduction and this introduction should give the newcomer an understanding of his work and its relation to the organizations other business practices. Earlier studies have mostly focused on the effects of socialization tactics but few on the experience. This study, based on qualitative interviews with a regional manager, newcomers and established employees shows that the studied organization socializes its newcomers through many socialization tactics where the newcomers? personality and previous knowledge allows to direct the socialization process.

This report describes the tactics used by the Swedish Air Force rescue services against crashed military aeroplanes and helicopters. The aim of the report is to study and analyze the tactics used by the different Air Force bases, standards, regulations and equipment. The report also discusses the different work environment problems and hazards around military ARFF. Much of the information gathered for the report comes from interviews with personnel working in and with the military rescue services. The overall conclusion is that the basic conditions for a good ARFF tactic are there, but a lot needs to be improved and optimized..

This is a study of American Methodist Mission in Sweden and how this mission eventually formed the Methodist Church in Sweden 1876. The mission began as a consequence of returning Swedish emigrants and sailors who had encountered Methodism in America, mainly through the works of Swedish-American missionary Olof Gustaf Hedström on the Bethel ship in New York. During the 1850?s Methodist missionaries were sent to Scandinavia by the American Missions Society. The first to come to Sweden was Johan Peter Larsson, who spent two years in Sweden in 1854 before he was transferred to Norway.

From a new perspective, this paper will examine the artillery and the pike role in the period 1700-1712 and the battalion´s battle formation in the Caroline combat tactics. Carolinian battle tactics were practiced during the period 1700-1721. The results from my study will be compared to existing research opinion regarding the selected subject areas, if the result confirms the thesis or question the existing research opinion. The source material used consists of eyewitness accounts from the period consisting of diaries, memoir, biography, general muster rolls and historical literature covering the subject. The analysis shows that the Caroline artillery took part in 12 battles during the period of 1700-1712.

The subject for this Master's thesis is the mission of the public library concerning target group everybody. Control documents, traditions, norms and trends influence how this is interpreted and how the library's service is being formed. The often very abstract terms used to describe the public library's mission makes it open for different interpretations. We are of the opinion that the public library's service should be formed to reflect the needs, interests, and priorities of the community it services, in order to be more attractive and useful.The aim of our study is to examine how the public librarians define and adjust to the mission to satisfy all citizens needs. Why do they choose to concentrate on certain target groups? And what does that show of how the public libraries reflect their communities? Our investigation includes examining six activities aimed at a certain target group and the six public libraries that carried these out.
