This thesis treats the development of the European Union asylum- and migration politics and the EU member states transfer of authority to the European Union. The main purpose has been to look closer with the use of the application of theory of neofunctionalism and liberal intergovernmentalism on the European Union case. The focus will be to answer the following questions: How has the political development within EU asylum and migration policy developed through the period of The Single European Act to the ratification of the Stockholm program? And how can the chosen theory explain European countries transfer of national decision regarding asylum policy in favor of a supranational European asylum policy? Based on the available material of European Union programs and harmonization measures for this area I have attempted to understand to what extent the European Union?s development in the area of the asylum and migration politics can be explained through the theories of neofunctionalism and liberal intergovernmentalism. The result of my analysis is confirmation of the European Union development of the area of the asylum and migration policy and also a series of explanations according to the theories regarding the member states transfer of authority to the EU.

IT exist and are needed in larger organisations today, this creates possibilities for new applications. It has become more frequent with IT within HRM which has developed new concepts like e-HRM and HRIS which links IT and HRM together. We have through qualitative content analysis of interviews investigated how IT-tools affect HR-workmanship. The purpose is to create a basis for describing how employees experience their work with HR within a PA-system. The basis of the PA-system will then answer if it contributes or limits the employees and their activities.

The common asylum and migration policy of the European Union is a struggle between a strong belief in the protection of human rights and the need of strong and secured borders. This paper highlights the dilemma that occurs in the common asylum and migration policy of the European Union. What happens when the union have to choose between liberal standards with high priorities to human rights and a realistic focus on security? The aim is to study the asylum policy presented in the Stockholm Program, and thereafter evaluate what kind of character the union has itself. By an ideal type analysis of the Stockholm program from 2009, the common asylum policy is divided into either liberal or realistic ideas.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera en debatt i Sydsvenska Dagbladet om Vellinge ska eller inte ska ta emot ensamkommande barn. Debatten intensifierades under perioden november 2009, till och med mars 2010 med anledning av att antalet ensamkommande barn under 2009 ökade kraftigt och därmed behovet av att fler kommuner tar emot dessa barn. För att granska de argument som förts fram för och emot att Vellinge ska ta emot ensamkommande barn används ett argumentationsanalytiskt perspektiv medan diskursanalys används för att klarlägga bakomliggande diskurser i debatten. I debatten identifieras olika aktörer som argumenterar för och emot Vellinges mottagande av ensamkommande barn. Resultatet av argumentationsanalysen visar att de aktörer som argumenterar för att Vellinge ska ta emot ensamkommande barn har starkare och mer hållbara argument.

Poland has since 2021 dealt with the migration crisis at its border with Belarus and when the new government took power in 2023, many had high hopes for its management of the crisis. But the government has opposed the EU's migration policy and continues the strict migration policies of the last government, which earlier studies have theorized, if it?s sign of a securitization of EU?s own migration policies. This essay examines the experiences of activists who work at the border, by performing interviews and a thematic analysis regarding the Polish state?s handling of the migration crisis with the change of government in 2023 and how they see that it has affected Poland and EU?s relationship.

The aim of this thesis is to study how Denmark and the Danish people has been represented in the Swedish press and which images of them that appears. For this purpose I make use of discourse analysis and discourse theory. By analysing three cases were the debate about the Danish migration policy has been scrutinized in Swedish newspapers I seek to discover different ways of looking at the world. The study concentrates on the descriptions made by journalists and others who contribute to the debate in the media. The results show an image of the Danes as a people reluctant to foreigners and restrictive in their politics.

Genom att Sverige reformerat migrationsprocessen samt förnyat utlänningslagen 2006 skall denna studie genom en beskrivande begreppsanalys se på hur man förhåller sig till de gemensamma mål EU satt upp utifrån Haagprogrammet. Studien behandlar regeringens proposition samt utvärderingen vilka belyses från det hierarkiska styrningsperspektivet. Materialet är avgränsat till begreppen ?Tvåpartsprocessen?, ?Effektivt förfarande? samt ?Gemensamt asylområde?, utifrån Haagprogrammets tredje av de tio viktigaste vägledande direktiven för en harmoniserad Migrationspolitik. Resultaten påvisar att propositionens förhållningssätt till programmet är god medan utvärderingen fått i tilläggsdirektiv att skjuta behandlingen av relationen till överordnade EG-instrument på framtiden, vilket gör att det har en väldigt begränsad hantering.

This essay focuses on the Sweden Democrat?s migration policy and its evolution from 1989 up until today. The purpose of this study is to longitudinally examine the party's migration policy proposals to see if, and how, the political ideas have changed over time. Idea analysis has been used as method, and the texts have been analyzed by using three dimensions. Depending on the outcome in the three dimensions, one out of eight political types is possible.

This bachelor thesis is titled Who has Right to Rights ? a Critical Discourse Analysis of the Swedish Government?s Migration Politics and is written by Sofia Lindqvist within the discipline of International Relations.The thesis takes its departure in the paradox that irregular migrants in Sweden are given different rights depending on which state institution they face. Through its collaboration with the Environmental party, the Swedish government has made it possible for irregular migrants to access extended health care. At the same time, one of the main goals of the current migration policy is to make deportations more effective. This essay aims to explore if the Swedish migration policies are compatible with universal human rights standards.

Denna undersökning syftar till att undersöka om de som är involverade i WISH på Metall-precision AB uppfattar WISH som en förbättrad och effektivare kommunikationsstrategi. Vi syftar på förbättrad i relation till hur det var innan WISH infördes, det vill säga innan år 2009. Kommunikationen inom WISH studeras främst ur ett manager perspektiv, tio av tolv inter-vjupersoner i denna undersökning har ett personalansvar.Undersökningen ägde rum på Metallprecision AB i Västersund. Sedan år 2009 pågår ett nytt förbättringsarbete, en förändringsprocess, som leder till effektiviseringar och förbättringar för Metallprecision AB. Detta förbättringsarbete kallas WISH.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine how Greece?s migration system functions and how immigration and asylum policies manifest themselves during the countries current severe economic crisis. More precisely, examining how the regulatory framework and policies regarding refugees' and migrant situation effects practical implementation. The research questions raised are; - How are refugees and other migrants' rights in Greece respected, from a legal, political and moral perspective? What impact can racism have on the treatment of refugees and other migrants? A contextual analysis of ideas through an analysis of the political programs/agendas was used and contrasted, through theories concerning racism, nationalism and globalization to further nuance the situation concerning refugees' rights.

The purpose of the present paper is to examine the political debate on the education of newly arrived immigrant pupils at secondary school age. The following issues are under scrutiny:What are the goals, expressed by politicians during the examined periods, for the education of newly arrived pupils?What ideas about education and what educational ideals can be observed in the political debate on the education of newly arrived pupils?Has there been any change, during the examined period, in the policy debate on the education of newly arrived pupils?The research material consists of reports and statements of the Education Committee, as well as a number of parliamentary protocols. Two five-year periods, 1971-1975 and 2006-2010, are studied and compared. All in all, the material consists of 23 documents issued during these periods.

Idag styrs invandringen utifrån en Migrationspolitik som uppställer begränsningar både vad gäller antalet som får tillträde till landet men även vilka typer av invandrare som ska få möjlighet att arbeta och bosätta sig här. Trots detta regelverk kringgår ett växande antal asylsökande de riktlinjer som styr möjligheten att vistas i landet. Dessa människor emigrerar främst från oroliga och fattiga länder eftersom de ser en framtid i Sverige. Men många som söker asyl i landet kommer att möta problem med sin asylansökan och nekas tillträde. Bland dessa människor finns de som väljer att stanna kvar trots att det inte är tillåtet.

Den 18 maj 1995 beslutade regeringen att tillkalla en kommitté med uppgift att utreda frågan om, och i så fall på vilket sätt, Sverige bör ansluta sig till Europarådets konvention om regionala språk och minoritetsspråk. Till kommitténs ordförande valdes riksdagsledamoten Carin Lundberg (s). Den 17 oktober 1996 beslutade regeringen om tilläggsdirektiv med den innebörden att kommittén skulle utreda frågan om Sverige bör ratificera Europarådets ramkonvention för skydd av nationella minoriteter. Kommittén fick även i uppgift att utreda vilka åtgärder i så fall vore nödvändiga för att Sverige skulle kunna efterleva bestämmelserna i konventionen. Kommittén delades i två sektioner och det nya uppdraget tilldelades kommitténs sektion 2.
