I have used a discourse analysis as a method and queertheori for the theoretical. In this paper I have analyzed how different wedding magazines write about partnerships, gender-neutral Marriage and wedding between homosexuals. I have for some time been interested in the beliefs wedding magazines have about homosexuality and how newspapers maintain heteronormativity implicitly and explicitly. Bridal magazines are anxious to have the Marriage as a design and standard when they write about partnership. When they write about the two different forms of Marriage, they glorify the religious Marriage and pay no attention to civil Marriage.

In the past, the meaning of Marriage has been an agreement between two people to live together and have children in a legitimate manner. The Marriage was not just to form a couple; it was also to merge two families together. From the early 1900s until today the allegation of Marriage and its influence got a significant change compared to early societies which have aroused my interest to perform this into a research paper. My study is focused on Marriage and social changes during the 1900s. Thoughts that arise now is that why there was a remarkable change in the Marriage rate during the 1900s and whether there were any social changes had to do something with it.

Common for these women is that they all are Muslims and that they come from countries where arranged Marriages are practiced. They also have concrete experience of arranged Marriages, either through themselves or someone they know.Material from interviews was analysed with a help of patriarchal theory and social constructivism.

The aim of this study is to examine Marriage as something both desirable and normal in three popular novels from the 1860s about Marriage: Rosa Carlén?s Agnes Tell: en äktenskapshistoria (1860), Marie Sophie Schwartz?s Alma eller De moderna äktenskapen (1860) and Sara Pfeiffer?s Aurora Trampe (1867). Using a theoretical perspective from Michel Foucault and Judith Butler, I have analysed the novels as being producers of, and resistance against, norms. The good Marriage is partly depicted as a utopian vision in the novels, which therefore functions as fantasies for the readers. But it is also depicted as a realistic possibility. Though difficult to achieve, the main characters reach the goal through individual improvement towards correct behaviour. The question for the main characters is not whether they are going to marry or not, but how to make their Marriages good ones.

Ten articles have also been selected for a critical discourse analysis based on Norman Fairclough?s approach.

The religious school of thought that is involved in the control of Saudi Arabia is called Wahhabism and is a form of Islam that is usually accused by outsiders of being misogynist. This paper will deal with the founder of this alignment of Islam, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, and his view of women in Marriage. Another movement which in turn goes to work to lift the women's rights is Islamic feminists. Two branches of Islam who belief that Islam is the only right path to take for issues surrounding gender and life. In this essay, I will compare their respective interpretations of three points which concern the role of women in Marriage; men's right to polygamy, men's higher status than the woman and the men's right to beat his wife.

The Swedish rules for marrying in Sweden are different for swedish citizens and foreigners. A swedish citizen has to have permission from"Länsstyrelsen"to marry before the age of 18 but a foreigner may marry without permission at an age of 15, unless a higher age is required by the foreign law. The main question in this essay is if the swedish international law concerning the age of Marriage is compatible with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and/or the Swedish Constitution. The comparison is based on mainly two questions: Primarily the Swedish international law is discussed concerning which marrying age is good for the child. Thereafter it is discussed whether it is discriminating to have different marrying ages for swedish and foreign citizens.

This essay analyses two swedish magazines about Marriage, called "giftermålstidningar", from 1914 and 1924. With ideology as theoretical basis the subject matter is to find words and expressions of ideological influence in the source material. These influences is assumed to come from contemporary Marriage laws, which expressed certain views about heterosexual relationships. In addition to the state's laws, the writers in the magazines is presumed to be influenced by other contemporary ideas. Either an older, christian tradition from brittish baptist Frederick Brotherton Meyer, or the swedish economist Knut Wicksell, who represents the Neo-Malthusian world view.

The meaning of the covert co-ownership is that the parties must have intended that the property should be their common. A party must, to be able to claim ownership, have con-tributed to the acquisition financing through the financial contribution. Further shall the fact that the property should be their common be agreed or have been assumed by the par-ties. There are the circumstances for the purchase that should be considered in determining if covert co-ownership is presumed. Covert co-ownership has been established although one party only contributed a small part to the acquisition.
