ABSTRACTThe aim of this study is to analyse if the UN today constructs the water Issue as a security Issue and to argue about in which way the organization in that case does so alternatively why it can be said that the UN doesn?t construct the water Issue as a security Issue.In order to reach this purpose the following questions will be answered:?Does the UN construct the water Issue as a security Issue today?-If yes, in which way?-If no, why can it be said that the organisation doesn?t?The methods used are qualitative literature studies of policy documents on water from the UN. The focus is to analyze the ideas about water and to apply my theory on the concept of security, which is Barry Buzan?s framework on security, to these ideas.The main results showed that the UN strongly constructs the water Issue as an environmental security Issue for environments and species and in relatively strong terms also constructs it as an environmental security Issue for civilisations. In rare cases the organisation constructs it as a societal security Issue, but the UN doesn?t construct the water Issue as a military, political or economic security Issue..

This thesis examines the process of securitization of the environmental Issue in the United States. By using the theories of sectoral security and securitization by Barry Buzan and Ole Waever, commonly known as the Copenhagen school we go beyond the traditional security frames and examine where the environmental Issue in the United States stand today within the securitization spectrum. The securitizing spectrum includes three levels in which an Issue can be place: non-politicised, politicised and securitized.The problem, which we wish to address, is if there is a movement of the environmental Issue in the United States towards becoming a securitized Issue. In the light of these circumstances we also wish to explore who is behind the movement and also find out where the Issue stand today. We do believe that Al Gore is a securitizing actor and examine his role in the movement of the environmental IssueWe have come to the conclusion that there is an ongoing process of securitization in which the environmental Issue have moved from being politicised to becoming securitized..

The object of interest in this essay is the Issue of reducing work hours and how that Issue was handled in the Trade Union Confederation (LO). In previous research the struggle for shorter work hours has been viewed as a struggle between trade union and employers? organizations. The previous research has had difficulties in explaining LOs part in this struggle, their actions have not been the expected. LO had not played an active part in the struggle for shorter work hours and the previous research has not been able to given a satisfying explanation for this.

Based on widespread public debate prior to Swedish EMU-referendum 2003, the main purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyze the standpoint of the Swedish parliamentary parties in the EMU-Issue, from perspektive of the following questions;1) What is the official standpoint of the parliamentary parties in the EMU-Issue?2) What claimed effects of a Swedish EMU-membership or non-membership have the parties presented?3) What rifts can be found within the parties, in relation to their official standpoint in the EMU-Issue?The Sweidish parliamentary parties´ standpoint in the EMU-Issue will be analyze from the point of view of a number of current theories. These theories are basically democrazy theories that all have transnationalization and Europeanization as a common ground.The conclusions are, among others, that the parliamentary parties` standpoints in the EMU-Issue are based on ideological values about whether or not a Swedish EMU-membership is good for Sweden. The Liberal Party, the Christian Democrats, the Moderate Party and the Social Party have a positive view on EMU and a deeper European integration, and basically value the economic efficency of the EMU higher than democratic decision making and a national currency and monetary policy. As for the EMU-critical parties such as the Centre Party, the Green Party and the Left Party, their view in the EMU-Issue can be regarded as more nationalistic, since they say no to an exapanded financial cooperation.

The purpose of this thesis is to shade light on some of the problems associated with rights Issues with regard to Swedish law. This thesis is limited to discuss problems regarding directed rights Issues, rights Issue discounts, underwriting agreements and asset to share compensation. Abstract The purpose of this study is to identify how Swedish clothing companies strategically communicate CSR ? the Issue being that CSR communication is frequently scrutinized and criticized. This is examined using semi-structured interviews with six company representatives. The result is presented thematically, dealing with (1) conditions for CSR and CSR communication, (2) how to manage the Issue with criticism and (3) which communication strategies companies use. Following conclusions are drawn: the companies can be divided into Mirvis and Googins phases integrated or engaged/innovative, with conditions characterizing these phases.

In the post Cold-War era, world politics was transforming itself through its emerging complex Issues such as terrorism and influential and interdependent actors such as the European Union. In this new era, the European Union was developing its Common Foreign and Security Policy pillar both to present a coherent and unified EU policy and to prove its political potent in order to become an influential actor on world politics. On the other side, security environment was also transforming its content through emerging actors and Issues. As one of the most prominent actors of the world politics, the EU was influenced by the transformation of security environment, whose economic ?soft power? proved necessary but insufficient for being a global power in this emerging security environment.

The system must create Issues, assign Issues to a specific user and list all Issues for each user.
