Uttern (Lutra lutra) är klassad som sårbar i Sverige och ett av det stora problemen är trafiken. För att minska trafikdödligheten hos utter har Trafikverket och Länsstyrelserna satsat på att bygga anpassade Faunapassager vid broar och vägtrummor. Enligt Naturvårdsverkets åtgärdsprogram för utter ska dessa utvärderas med tanke på effekt, kostnad och regionala anpassningar. Syftet med min studie var att utifrån redan gjorda utvärderingar på passager ta fram indikationer på vilka typer av Faunapassager som används mest av uttrar och vad som är mest kostnadseffektivt. Datan är samlad från fyra olika studier gjorda i Stockholm- och Uppsala län.

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

A fauna passage is a way for animals to cross roads separated from the traffic. In Sweden, there are an unknown number of passages with different functions and appearances. These passages would, with the question ?Which fauna passages can be found in Sweden, and how well do they work?? as a base, be compiled in a comparable way. This would be done with a number of questions asked to the different regions of Vägverket.

The visions of the United Nations concerning sustainable development and conservation of biodiversity can only be realized if the human population succeeds in creating coexistence between human and wildlife. Landscape architects are able to influence on how landscapes are to be maintained and developed. The negative impact of infrastructure on wildlife has become a critical problem in Sweden and other parts of Europe. Wildlife crossings has been developed as a solution for the problems of road barriers in the landscape. The crossings are made to give animals a better opportunity to cross roads.

Ett av de största hoten mot den biologiska mångfalden är fragmenteringen av landskapet. Vägar och järnvägar är orsak till en betydelsefull del av denna fragmentering där landskapet delas i allt mindre områden. Delningen påverkar inte bara faunan utan också floran. Konsekvenserna för dess populationer blir demografiska och genetiska skillnader som i längden kan resultera i arters utdöende. Ett sätt att mildra vägarnas och järnvägarnas påverkan är att bygga så kallade faunaövergångar.
