In this report I will describe how an art-directed fluid effect for motion picture can be achieved. This effect will be an Explosion with a visual style that is congruent with Pixar's movie Up. To begin with I will analyze the visual components that are used in Up and control the fluid simulation to get the desired visual style. I will briefly explain the background of my thesis, why it is interesting to create designed effects and why it is hard to design fluid effects. In the method I will explain my work process and some of the challenges that arises.

There were two causes of the moose Explosion, that had effects on the moose population. The first cause was that the moose hunters wanted to raise the moose population, and by raising the calf shooting and by saving the cows they succeeded. The second cause was changing methods in Swedish forestry.

The purpose of this report is to study the risk of dust Explosions at the candy manufacturing plant Leaf Sverige in Gävle, Sweden. The risk analysis was conducted with a preliminary hazard analysis, PHA and event trees. The analysis focuses only on the risk posed to employees and material damages at the plant. No third person injuries have been considered. Another purpose of this report is to study risk awareness and risk communication concerning dust Explosions.

Bakgrund: Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) i nucleus subthalamicus (STN) och i kaudala zona incerta (cZi) har visat positiva effekter på motoriska symtom (rörelseförmåga och balans) vid Parkinsons sjukdom. Efter DBS har dock negativa taleffekter noterats, inklusive nedsatt artikulatorisk precision och stabilitet. Nedsatt artikulatorisk precisionoch stabilitet påverkar klusilproduktionen mest vilket kan resultera i att klusilExplosionen uteblir eller att multipla Explosioner uppstår.Mål: Att undersöka artikulatorisk precision och stabilitet vid klusilExplosionen efter DBS i STN respektive cZi.Metod: I studien deltog 19 patienter varav 9 deltagare stimulerats i STN och 10 deltagare i cZi. Talinspelningar gjordes innan operation och ett år efter operation med DBSstimulering på och av. Klusilerna i talmaterialet delades in i tre kategorier, de med en klusilExplosion, de med två eller flera klusilExplosioner samt de utan klusilExplosion.

När fordonen läm- nar produktionen parametersätts deras ECU-parametrar efter ett regel- verk som anges i kon?gureringsprogrammet Parameter Setting Module(PSM).

EU har som mål att år 2020 ha minskat utsläppen av växthusgaser med 20 % och ökat andelen förnyelsebar energi till 20 %. I Sverige är andelen fossilt bränsle som förbränns ca 30 %. Denna studie syftar till att utreda om termokemiskt behandlade biobränslen kan ersätta de kommersiella fossila bränslena. Resultatet har nåtts med simulering i programvaran Fuelsim och insamling av experimentella data.  En simulering ska påvisa om syreberikning gynnar bränslena och experimentella data används för att se vilka problem som finns för respektive bränsle.

Bioethanol is one alternative energy fuel that can be produced from different types of biomass. Second generation bioethanol comes from fermentation of lignocellulosic material and can be seen as a more environmental friendly alternative as e.g. forest residues and agricultural by-products are used. To be able to use lignocellulosic biomass in ethanol production, it has to be subjected to different treatments first. In this study, aspen sawdust was used as lignocellulosic material.

This report presents thesis of Liisa Kokkonen in collaboration with Muovikilpi Oy.The project?s goal is to find a new construction for an existing lamp made of acrylic. Form and design retains and the manufacturing occurs at Muovikilpi Oy. The project contains the new construction and manufacturing of the lamp and also a proposition for a set with floor and wall lamp.  The paper gives an outline of acrylic as material and how it reacts with light.

En hållbar samhällsutveckling beror på tre faktorer; naturen, människan och samhället. I dagens läge vill människan minimera de påfrestningarna som miljön och omgivningen utsätts för. Det är därför viktigt att se över hur resurserna utnyttjas. Ett bra exempel på detta är att befintliga trafikleder inom tätbebyggda städer byggs över, sådana projekt kallas överdäckningar. På detta sätt skapas både byggbar yta och negativa effekter av trafikleder minskas inom tätbebyggda områden.

Companies have been tax planning for decades, the questions is if Internet has made an increase of companies than uses tax planning and which roll Internet plays. It is hard to really pinpoint all the effects of the Internet because of the relatively new area of research. This thesis will take various factors under study such as globalisation, development of the offshore industry and the fight against harmful taxation by the OECD and other organisations in order to describe the effects of Internet.

It is hard to really pinpoint all the effects of the Internet because of the relatively new area of research. This thesis will take various factors under study such as globalisation, development of the offshore industry and the fight against harmful taxation by the OECD and other organisations in order to describe the effects of Internet.

The Explosion of new digital media puts pressure for developments within copyright law both in Sweden and internationally. These developments are taking place on two different international areas: (1) WIPO which is a part of the UN family and (2) the EU where a new directive on copyright law is being prepared and probably implemented during 2001. The aim of this thesis is twofold: (1) to study which considerations libraries must make when handling the new digital media both under today's copyright laws and under those which are being developed internationally. (2) What will be the consequences, for Swedish libraries, if the new EU-directive on copyright law is implemented in Sweden? By analysing current copyright laws, international treaties and the proposal for a new EU-directive as well as the national debate the thesis brings attention to a number of central issues for libraries.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka ungdomars användning av digitala medier och hur de ser ut på användningen av dessa i sina respektive skolgång. Med en bredare kunskap på området är förhoppningen att lärare ska kunna bedriva undervisning som inkluderar datorer och tillgången till digitala medier på ett mer effektivt och utvecklande sätt. För att närma mig till ämnet har jag genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med elever i olika program på gymnasienivå. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att formerna för lärande har förändrats de senaste åren på grund av den Explosion av digitala verktyg som blivit en del av vår vardag och att det därför krävs nya färdigheter för att kunna navigera i det överflöd av information som finns på nätet. Undersökningen visar också att bild kan ha blivit viktigare än text för att förstå, tolka och förmedla mening och att sociala medier eller datorspel används väldigt sällan i undervisningen. Elever uttrycker en tydlig vilja att i större utsträckning få använda datorer i undervisningen och anser att lärarna än så länge inte har tillräcklig kunskap för att bedriva den typen av undervisning..
