The purpose of our study is to get more knowledge about how moral dilemmas affect social workers in their work. This because we find that a big part of social work involves Ethic reflections and that is why we find it important for social workers to have knowledge about how they should and can think and act in these situations. Ethic statements exist for social workers to use in their work but we haven?t found any guidelines for concrete situations and that?s why we decided to study this area. Questions we want to answer are how do the social workers define moral dilemmas in social work? How do the social workers deal with moral dilemmas in their work? How do moral dilemmas affect social workers in their work? This is a qualitative study with interviews from seven social workers from one social service office although they are from different units.

The relationship human has to animals are complex and I discuss this from a theological and philosophical perspective in this essay. I ask on what grounds, with what arguments and how one could live with an inclusive Ethic. I discuss the philosopher Peter Singer and the theologian Andrew Linzey to see their agreements and differences. Linzey has a mystic influence built into the theological perspective. Swedish activists and authors Pelle Strindlund and Annika Spalde call their way of life the ?Way of love? and show an animal-inclusive Ethic built on a Christian mystic ground..

This paper is about Soren Aabye Kierkegaards (1813-1855) philosophy regarding the relation between the aesthetic and the Ethic stage. The result of the essay is a modification of the aesthetic problem. The suggestion is to convert part of Kierkegaard?s metaphysical claims into an epistemic approach. An epistemic approach means to hold a position of well grounded stipulative beliefs.

In this essay we have examined how social workers experience their positions as a public authority person in a society of democracy. As a public officer you have to follow rules and obey the law, which can be difficult if they don't agree with your personal opinion and values. In social work you work with people in a vulnerable situation and it may become extremely demanding to stand between the directions of established public administration and your own opinions. We have interviewed ten social workers working in social childcare division and analysed how they experience their situation at work. Our starting point is the critical theory of professor Lennart Lundquist about how democracy works in Swedish administrations.

Previous research regarding the European debt crisis has mostly focused on the purely economic aspects of the crisis. However, there is a strong ?Protestant-Catholic? dimension in Europe, where historically Protestant countries are more prosperous than their Catholic and Orthodox counterparts. This has especially been a fact since early 2010, when several countries within the European Union had their credit ratings downgraded. Is this phenomenon merely a coincidence? Or could the roots of the recent troubles in Europe have a basis in historic religions? To tackle this question, Max Webers ?s 110 year old study The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism is brought back into light and used as a tool for analysis of the crisis.The results show that not only are Protestant countries in general more prosperous, but they also have lower corruption and their citizens have a higher level of trust towards the government.

In his master thesis, Johan Jutterström pursues an anti-aesthetic and Ethic artistic process. He?s using mainly three different strategies; reasoning through text, composing for ensemble, and solo improvising on the saxophone. Through composing the piece for 12 musicians Trästolen, Jutterström tries to erase himself and his taste from the music. In that endeavor he looks to physics as a catalyst.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur studie- och yrkesvägledare på Jobbtorg arbetar med de dilemman som kan uppstå kring de etiska riktlinjerna. Författarnas hypotes har varit att det är svårt att tillämpa de etiska riktlinjerna i en målstyrd verksamhet som Jobbtorg. En kvalitativ metod har används där fem slumpmässigt utvalda studie- och yrkesvägledare på Jobbtorg Stockholm har intervjuats. Resultatet visar på att studie- och yrkesvägledarna upplever dilemman kring deras yrkesetik, men har utarbetat olika strategier för att hantera dessa dilemman. Det visade sig att studie- och yrkesvägledarna hade skapat sig ett stort arbetsutrymme kring studie- och yrkesvägledningen på Jobbtorg.

We examined why file sharing is such a widespread phenomenon and what drives the persons that using file sharing, and what consequences it has on their consuming and ownership. We reached our goal by interviewing ten people who download files, using a qualitative method. We present the internet community where sharing files, copyright and the IPRED law are important ingredients for how the new generation consumer?s patterns look like. The secularization theses has over the last decade been a central issue within the sociology of religion. The two classic theses has been criticized for being one-sided and only focus on the change from traditional to modern society. The intention of this study is to evaluate this critique and to discuss what is defendable in the early secularization thesis in our contemporary world.This essay?s primary purpose is to compare the secularization theses Weber?s The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism and Durkheim?s The Elementary Forms of Religious Life. I use two analytical models, posing three levels and three categories of secularization, in order to make the comparison explicit.

In this essay, the aim is to study the role the politicians play in relation to the people they represent. This is manly a theoretically study, which focus is on the theories behind the way we choose to identify the role of politicians. We ascribe different underlying values to the role of politicians and as a result from these different values a conflict can arise. Two central terms in my discussion are the way the politicians represent people's values and meanings combined to the possibilities for the people to hold the politicians responsible. Depending on which Ethic values you put to the role, you have different views about how the politicians should act.

Min uppsats handlar om situationer där jag har svårt att fördela min uppmärksamhet. Mitt fokus läggs antingen på barnet med speciella behov eller på barngruppen.I essän för jag en diskussion runt mitt eget förhållningssätt kring detta.Den senaste tiden har vi upplevt en trend att barn med särskilda behov ska inkluderas i all skolverksamhet. Syftet är naturligtvis gott, men min upplevelse är att det ibland kan leda till en ny form av exkludering. Det vill säga att de barn som inte fungerar som förväntat kan känna sig ännu mer utanför vilket kan få konsekvenser för att uppnå kunskapsmålen. Hur kan jag hantera detta som pedagog? I min essä undersöker jag problemet med hjälp av ett antal etiska teorier, pliktetik, utilitarism, diskursetik och fronetisk etik..

The aim of this study was to investigate the emotions among the staff at the group housings when they observe the caretakers expressions of masturbation and how the staff handles these expressions in their daily and long-term work. The theoretical concepts that were used in this study are group housing as a public and private arena, occupational role, relation, humanistic effort, pedagogical effort, empowerment, care Ethic and emotions. The concepts are related to each other and constitutes the foundation for the analysis of the empirical data used in this study. A qualitative study was carried out, in forms of half structured interviews with six informants, of which the majority was women. It came to light that the interviewees only had positive feelings for the caretaker?s expressions of masturbation.

It is estimated that approximately 10 000 people are living in Sweden after having been rejected residence permit or asylum, meaning that they have to hide from the authorities while facing a risk of being deported by means of violence as they do not wish to leave voluntarily.For their existence, a vast number of people employed by the public administration can be expected to contribute to the wellbeing of the hidden people through their professions as bureaucrats.The bureaucrats can thereby be expected to be torn between different sets of value systems, roles and obligations towards the state and towards the hidden people.In this master thesis, I examine how five bureaucrats motivate their acting for the sake of the hidden people in terms of legitimacy, legality and morality in their administration, towards their Ethic responsibilities and towards society as a whole.The results show that the bureaucrats see themselves as saviours of Ethical values in an illegitimate administration where economic efficacy and arbitrary decision-making constantly transgresses The Human Rights, ratified by the Swedish Parliament..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om det finns någon relation mellan den starka företagarkulturen och de många frikyrkoförsamlingarna i Gnosjöregionen. Uppsatsen bygger främst på intervjuer med tre medlemmar ur Alliansmissionen.Informationen som kommer fram i intervjuerna har till stora delar analyserats mot Webers bok Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. I grunden bygger idén till uppsatsen på Webers teori om hur kalvinismen gynnade kapitalistisk framgång.Att det finns en relation mellan frikyrkorna och näringslivet i regionen framkom tydligt i intervjuerna. Bygdens historia har också haft stor betydelse för hur både religion och företag har utvecklats. Likheter med Webers teori finns men däremot har det under detta arbetes gång inte gått att se något direkt inflytande från kalvinismen i området.

The main focus of the essay is to investigate if bugging can be justified from two Ethics perspectives, the teleological and the deontology. I?ve chosen to emanate from two specific values which I believe is especially relevant to the Ethical problems of bugging, efficiency in fighting crime and the personal integrity. To be able to illustrate this conflict between different values did I do an analysis of an official report which had the task to explore if Sweden should introduce bugging as a new means of compulsion. The official report's statement was that the police should have modern instrument to fighting crimes efficient, including bugging.My examination of the report showed that they used several arguments derived from both the efficiency in fighting crime perspective and the personal integrity perspective.
