I have divided the differences into three categories: Crossed out, Altered and Added. In the analysis section these have been presented in each section of the film.Main results: Catch me if you can is definetly a film made with the design of the Anglosaxon model, mostly because of its timestructure and that it portrays an action and not just a condition which is normal in the Epic-lyric model.

Skönlitteraturens genrer: En analys av två universella klassifikationssystem

The main aim in this Master thesis is to analyse how an ideological view may have influenced the shape of hierarchies with a specific concentration on the concept of fiction genre in the latest versions of the systems SAB and DDC. Our thesis is that no theoretical classification scheme can be recognized as objective. With an ideological/institutional perspective we look at the structures behind these systems. As a vehicle we use the hermeneutic circle to show the play between part and unit by focusing and analysing three different levels: the content level the concept level the ideological level. The first level is in the shape of a historical background and an analysis of concept with focus on content.

This research project is about how the subjects` art and music has been described under the 20th century in the Swedish school until today. The purpose with this research project is to do a text analysis that describes these subjects now and the last century, to illustrate the differences between today and the last century. Hence the size of this subject I have chosen some random samples out of the 20th century until today. I started to take these random samples from the first lyric I found about these subjects, and continued with these random samples in other lyrics from the middle of the 20th century until the year 2006. I just took these random samples from what I had found because I did not found some lyrics from earlier period of the 20th century.

Dåtidens betydelse för nuet och nuets betydelse för dåtiden : Skildringar av påskupproret på Irland 1916

In this essay, I compare ten different depictions of the Irish Easter Rising of 1916. These depictions are all from books published between 1924 and 2000, which deal with a wider context of the history of Ireland or Northern Ireland. I relate the depictions to the point in time when they were written, the geographic focus of the book, and the views that the author expresses about the present and the future, and about the significance of history. The main result of my essay is that the depictions differ in a way that seems connected to whether or not there was an ongoing violent conflict in Ireland at the time the books were written. Texts written when the political violence was present, or close, in time and location, are likely to be written either in a neutral tone with concern about objectivity, or incorporating the Easter Rising events in context of an ongoing socialist struggle.

More specifically the investigation takes on the idea of a ?sam-vett? as it is formulated in Jernbanan. Fusion i aktion, Odissi som konstnärligt instrument i västerländsk teater

In search of a stage language that resonates in historical disciplines, I have explored the possibility to expand my performing arts through the language of Indian classical Odissi, through different forms of storytelling. In my work I have focused primarily on two projects inspired by the original scripts of Macbeth by William Shakespeare and Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan. I have outlined examples of methods and techniques used in the process.The work also shows how Odissi has evolved from a religious and philosophical tradition of temple dance; into modern stage theatre performance.The work aims to connect Odissi with western performing art. In this process I have been using my own knowledge about Odissi as a tool in combining both the traditions, a fusion in action.I will physically examine the artistic idiom, the characteristics, the actions and deeds found in stylized Odissi imagery and symbols, traditionally used to embody mythological and epic stories. A rendezvous between East and West.

Ett Omtvistat Himmelrike : En komparativ historiebruksanalys av Ridley Scotts epos Kingdom of Heaven med utgångspunkt i postkolonial och genusinriktad teoribildning

The following study is a comparative analysis on the usage of history in Ridley Scott?s epic Kingdom of Heaven. Based on the thesis that this movie has a lot to say about contemporary political values, it compares the theatrical version from 2005 with the 45 minute extended Director?s Cut, which came out on DVD in 2006. Firmly based in the popular-cultural context I tried to evaluate whether these changes related in any way, to matters concerning the current gender debate and post-colonial theory.

Sagan om de klanlösa : En studie av små förlag och deras position på den svenska fantastikmarknaden

The aim of this thesis is to study the market for fantastic fiction in Sweden, focusing on the minor publishers and their relationship with the three major publishing groups. The fantastic fiction in Swedish today are generally dominated by bestselling anglo-american authors, especially at the major publishers. The selection of fantastic fiction that is not originally in English and that diverges from the classic, epic high fantasy is often provided by minor publishers. By researching the range of fantastic fiction in Sweden today, and combining that research with qualitative interviews with informants from five minor publishers and Sweden's largest book shop for fantastic fiction, I wish to examine if the minor publishers provide an important alternative for Swedish readers of fantastic fiction. I also intend to investigate whether those publishers actively try to broaden the Swedish market and if they see themselves as a complement and an alternative rather than competing with the major publishers.This is a study in sociology of literature, focusing on a literary genre that is generally regarded as popular or trivial literature.

My project is based on a journey to India in thewinter of 2011-12. I knew that I wanted to dosome sort of travelouge based on my photos fromthe trip. I also knew I wanted to do some sort ofbook. How this, the story of my travels in India,would be told and what the theme was going to be,that was more elusive.I started out with the notion of a retelling of theold epic Ramayana and combining this with mytravels and the critical perspective of Edward W.Saids Orientalism. This proved to be an impossibleequation and I also had to rework my plan to fitthe tight timeframe I had.

Att begränsas i kroppen i syfte att lämna den : En utveckling av publikens deltagande i teaterhändelsens sensoriska nivå

Denna kandidatuppsats i teater- och dansvetenskap vid Stockholms universitet (VT 2012) undersöker den sensoriska nivån inom scenkonsten, hur den kan se ut och hur ett publikt deltagande i den kan förstås. Mitt material består av ett urval teoretiska ingångar som jag dels diskuterar sinsemellan, dels provar användbarheten av genom ett förstapersonsperspektiv av koreografin Epic av Mårten Spångberg. Genom detta skapar jag en begreppsapparat som kan fungera som tillvägagångssätt för en större studie av den sensoriska nivån.Min infallsvinkel är fenomenologisk, där Maurice Merleau-Pontys Phenomenology of Perception (1945) utgör min huvudkälla. Vid sidan om denna preciserar jag mitt perspektiv inom ett teater- och dansvetenskapligt fält genom Stanton B. Garner, Bert O.
