Det faktum att Diplomater, beskickningsmän och ambassadörer har rätt till vissa privilegier inom sina yrken är inget nytt, utan en traditionell sedvänja som funnits i över 3000 år. Dessa privilegier som ger diplomaten rätt till immunitet i många fall har blivit allt mer ifrågasatt under årens lopp. Syftet med denna uppsats är att generellt sett försöka utröna vilka privilegier Diplomater åtnjuter i form av diplomatisk immunitet. För att få svar på detta har vi undersökt ämnets bakgrund genom doktrin samt konvention. Vår slutsats är att immunitet är bra och nödvändigt för att diplomaten skall kunna utföra sina officiella tjänster, men utnyttjandet av privilegier visar tydligt att ändringar i konventionen är ett måste.

How is the identity of Swedish diplomats affected by living a very international life, regularly moving from one place to another, while their main task is to represent Sweden at all times? How does the national identity relate to the professional and the international identity and what role does the context play in this process? These are the questions asked in this thesis. By interviewing 39 Swedish diplomats and by comparing the responses of the interviews and the theories applied, this thesis will show that it is the context, rather than the time spent abroad that changes their identities and not the least their perspectives of the world. The theories concern intersectional identities, nationalism, context and globalisation. It is from the point of view that identities are constructed and therefore changeable.The diplomats gain a greater awareness of their Swedish identity, wider and deeper perspectives of what it means to be Swedish, but also the advantages that other cultures have to offer.

The aim with this archive guide is to give a guide to Karl-Anders Wollter?s film collection at Grängesberg Film archive. Karl-Anders Wollter worked between 1962?1993 for the State Department and mainly outside Sweden. The film collection consists of 67 films regarding his work, holidays and family life.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilka källor de två tidningarna Dagens Nyheter och New York Times använt sig av i bevakningen av Kambodja. Två dramatiska händelser är i fokus.Den första händelsen inträffade den 17 april då gerillarörelsen, Röda Khmererna, tågade in i Kambodjas huvudstad Phnom Penh och tog över makten. Kontakten med omvärlden bröts inom loppet av några timmar. Förvirringen kring vad som verkligen skett blev påtaglig i medierna. Ingen visste säkert vad som hänt.
