Att använda sig av Devising som arbetsmetod för att i repetitionsprocessen arbeta fram en färdig föreställning blir allt vanligare på Göteborgs scener, på institutionsteatrar såväl som i fria teatergrupper. Att Devising idag används i långt större utsträckning i Sverige än vad som tidigare varit fallet, väcker frågor om metodens relevans i samtiden. Syftet med denna uppsats är att granska kopplingen mellan användningen av Devising och postmodernismen. Detta utforskas med hjälp av intervjuer med flertalet Göteborgsverksamma teaterarbetare samt tidigare forskning kring begreppen Devising och postmodernism. I uppsatsen undersöks Devisingproduktioners utgångspunkter, arbetsstrukturer- och hierarkier, arbetsmetoder och arbetet med karaktärer i analysen.

Jag är en skådespelare med rötter i dans och musik. Jag vill dansa, musicera och skådespela - men inte bara var för sig. Glida emellan. Hur kan de discipliner som jag är bärare av blandas i praktiken? ?Det röda trädet?, en föreställning som gick på Folkteatern våren 2013 blev utgångspunkt för möjligheten.

The aim of this essay is to examine the supervisor?s view on the structure and content of the tasks given to students during their vocational training. The investigation could be of help for teachers when Devising new vocational training tasks. The study is based upon qualitative interviews with five supervisors, all of whom work at preschools. The supervisors were asked to grade all the vocational training tasks on a scale from one (easy) to five (difficult).

A pilot-study was used to investigate, types of assistance, assessed needs, outcomes and effects of special-needs assistance given to a subsample of compulsory school pupils in an effort to develop an evaluation strategy for identifying educational impacts of specific special-needs inputs.  Preliminary results indicate a tendency for postive outcomes for most pupils in the pilot group (n = 11) but also that many pupils have residual difficulties.  Pupils with residual difficulties mostly required special education asssitance with Maths, English or Swedish.  More pupils also needed support with behavioral difficulties.  More research and an expanding knowledge base is required in order to effectively evaluate outcomes of teacher support.  Schools need help in Devising different methods of assistance and particularly for pupils with behavioral difficulties..
