Introduction: Studies have shown that women are not always satisfied with the effects of contraception and that Contraceptive advice is perceived as non-specific. Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate what Contraceptive women have chosen to use in the different phases of their reproductive lives, and what they felt had influenced their choice. Method: A retrospective cross-sectional comparative study with a quantitative approach. A survey with fixed and multiple-choice options was sent to five hundred 45-year old women. Result: The study shows that various birth controls are different in the normal reproductive life.

The purpose of this study was to find out who young people of today talk to about Contraceptive. The main questions that we wanted to answer was from who young people wish to get information about Contraceptive and whose advice they listen to and trust the most. Our purpose was also to illustrate the questions from a gender-perspective.We chose two equivalent rural districts, when it comes to the number of inhabitants. The young people who took part are students in ninth grade. We wanted to get a great sample so that the study would be representative of the population.

The aim of this study was to examine sexual behavior, Contraceptive use, self-rated health, lifestyle factors and the prevalence of HPV vaccination among last year high school students. The study was a quantitative cross-sectional study which was a substudy of the longitudinal study " Pornography, Youth and Health". Results showed that the majority of students had had sexual intercourse (75 %, n=524) and both performed (67 %, n=479) and received oralsex (70 %, n=498). Forty percent (n=282) of the students had had one night stand, a quarter (n=159) anal sex and 29 (n=202) percent sex with a friend. The aim of the study was to get a deeper understanding of how young people think and act when it comes to Contraceptive use, and also if outside factors have an impact on young peoples behaviour in these matters. We looked at our study from an identity and a development perspective. The method was conducted as a qualitative study. There were two groups of 8 young people, aged 16-17. Objective: To study midwives management, practice and reasoning regarding Contraceptive counseling for women who are experiencing "mild" side effects of the pillMethods: Four focus groups, made up of three to five midwives per group, participated in focus group discussions. Qualitative design with the method ?Think-Aloud? has been used to collect data and the material was analyzed using content analysis.Results: The study identified three categories, the first "How midwives practice regarding the side effects of the pill," shows that midwives have a systematic approach when meeting with women who are experiencing side effects of the pill. The next category "Using a holistic and professional approach for women" highlights that the midwives take women's side effects seriously and that midwives respect individual woman?s autonomy.

Effects of Menstrual Cycle and Oral Contraceptives on Sport Performance During the menstrual cycle, there is a variation of the female steriod hormones estrogen and progestogen. These hormones has mainly reproduktive functions, but do also affect other physiological systems, which may have an influence on athletic performance. The use of oral Contraceptives among female athletes matches the use among the general population. There is a concern among female athletes and there coaches weather oral Contraceptives can affect the performance. The purpose of this litterature review is to determine the effect of the menstrual cycle and the use of oral Contraceptives on athletic performance.

Purpose: To assess awareness and attitudes regarding HPV, HPV-vaccines, use of condom and participation in pap-smear screening among high-school students in Uppsala County. The intention was also to investigate if there were any differences between students at theoretical programmes and vocational programmes.Methods: 608 students from seven high-schools in Uppsala County answered a questionnaire covering demographics, awareness and attitudes regarding HPV, HPV-vaccine, use of condoms and pap-smear tests.Results: A majority of the students had never heard of HPV (86 %, n=521), HPV-vaccine (94 %, n=537) or the link between HPV and cervical cancer (88 %, n=563). Most respondents had a positive attitude towards HPV-vaccine (84 %, n=508), but the biggest obstacle was the high cost (37 %, n=227). The students believed that it was less likely that they would use a condom with a new partner if vaccinated (mean=78, SD=26, p<0.001), or if they or their partner used Contraceptive pills (mean=62, SD=32, p<0.001) compared to how likely it was that they would use a condom in general with a new partner. The girls rated the probability that they would participate in a pap-smear screening as relatively low if vaccinated (mean=59 SD=27).
