Makten över kommunikationen : en kvalitativ studie av kommunikatörens yrkesroll

The Communicator has a professional role which is relatively unspecified and hard to define. To work with communication can mean several different tasks, who also might vary between different types of organizations. The purpose with our study is to clarify the professional title Communicator and its meaning. By applying a power perspective on the Communicators experienced professional role in meaning to find out who has the power over the communication.     Our study is made of qualitative interviews with four professional Communicators working in private organizations. We have used semi structured interviews in our study which means that we before we went through with the interviews defined themes which the interviews were built upon.

Verka utan att synas - eller bara osynlig? Kommunikatörens roll i den svenska a-kassan.

The purpose of the essay was to examine the role of the professional Communicator in the Swedish Unemployment Funds. Focus was on measures carried out by the Communicator to enhance and streamline communication and how the Communicator supports their coworkers in their own communication role. In order to fulfill the purpose, two main questions were asked;? How do the Communicators support and develop their coworkers communication role?? What to the Communicators identify as challenges in their work in doing this?The theoretical base of the essay was Heide and Simonssons (2011) challenges for the professional Communicator. The theory states that organizations communication processes are the foundation to its existence and development and that the professional Communicator therefore needs a solid base with the possibility to monitor the whole organization.A questionnaire was sent to Communicators in all Swedish Unemployment Funds and even though the non-response was rather considerable, the answers received was assessed sufficient to make an analysis.

This article elucidates the professional dialogue between student teacher and supervisor and it´s conditions as a supervising method in professional academic education. The aim of the study is to discuss how students articulate the conditions of the professional dialogue and the positioning of themselves and supervisors are made. The student taped discussions were analysed. Inspired by positioning theory we analysed the students discussions in order to interpret and elevate patterns showing the conditions concerning the professional dialogues for the students teacher education. The main findings are the students positioning themselves as listener and the supervisor is positioned as Communicator of rights, obligations and oughtness.

A study of requested personal types in Professional Communicators.Number of pages: 35Purpose/ Aim: The study aims to evaluate what kind of personality type that would make a good fit for a Professional Communicator. The study examines personal traits and work tasks that are presented in job ads for Professional Communicators in Sweden today. From this material the author wants to calculate what kind of personal type that characterize the profession with the help of the Big Five theory.Material/ Method: Quantitative research method based on job ads.Main results: The study shows that personal traits that employers look for in Professional Communicators today are mainly traits from the Conscientiousness group with characteristics such as independent, structured and planning. The second biggest personality group is Extraversion where personal traits like driving, outgoing and social were put.

Kommunernas användning av sociala medier : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om fyra kommuner och deras användning av sociala medier

The aim of this study was to investigate how selected municipalities? use social media, with a focus on how they are working to increase the dialogue between municipalities? and residents. To answer the purpose of the study three questions has been formulated: how do the Communicators use social media in their daily work? What opportunities and challenges are the municipalities? experiencing with Facebook? How do they work with Facebook to increase dialogue with citizens?The theories that has been used in this study is Cutlip?s and Grunig?s public relations theories, Shannon and weavers communication model, Cutlip?s and Heath?s theory of issue management and Jenkins theory of convergence culture. The method that has been used in this study is qualitative semi-structured interviews and the analysis is done with a thematic text analysis.

En syn på det livslånga lärandet : Litteraturstudie av åtta studentuppsatser

In this essay, we examine what kind of themes that are found in essays written by students who have studied within the teacher programme at universities in Sweden. The goal of our essay is to find themes that are reoccurring in eight student essays, and that can be understood through the concept of lifelong learning. Our essay combines three research methods. It is mainly an essay where we utilize qualitative reading research, but we have also gained inspiration from hermeneutics and the critical thinking.The result of our study shows that students within the teacher programme in Sweden are well aware of the strong points found within the concept of lifelong learning. Three themes were found that were reoccurring within all essays.

Smartphones, Användare och Estetik : En Användbarhetsstudie

The Ericsson R380 is a so-called smartphone, combining an advanced mobile phone with a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). To evaluate the usability of the Ericsson R380 and benchmark it against the Nokia 9110 Communicator and the Motorola A6188 Accompli, a repeated measurements experiment was performed. 18 subjects (10 men and 8 women) with no previous experience of any of the interfaces participated. Half of the subjects had extensive experience from using Ericsson mobile phones and half of the subjects had extensive experience from using Nokia mobile phones. A set of 9 tasks to be solved on each interface was presented to the subjects.

My Exam work is about how to communicate with children. Reading for children is important and meaningful. They get connection with adults and inspiration to read and tell stories by there own. Therefore I created the draft to a children book. I made it up on my own.

The purpose with this study is to see how there is a co-op among communicating players , between leaders and players and to examine what meaning communication and culture got  in a youth team. The ambition with this study was to increase our knowledge about communication and communicationculture in the youth floorball team. This study is qualitative and was inspired by an ethnographical method so we got the information from observations of a youth floorball team, totally we made four observations. The result were analyzed and categorized from our observation papers.

Metafor - Tao : En komparativ studie i metaforik mellan prekonfuciansk tanketradition och svensk nutid

Metaphors and their use as a rethorical vehicle are examined. Two texts, one in Chinese and one in Swedish, are compared and analyzed to determine the extent to which the associations they create successfully capture the author's intent. Seecondarily, a shift from the assumptions that rhetorical analyses often assume (read: antiquity and Aristotles) to a more abstract internal human platform is suggested. Neurological and cognitive research is cited in support of this shift.The essay examines the question: How can metaphoric contribute to conveying the Communicator's intention? By comparing metaphorics used by an historical Chinese rhetor with those used by a contemporary Swedish rhetor.

Community Manager - en ny yrkesroll? : På uppdrag av Dohi Sweden

Propose/Aim: The aim of this thesis is to examine the professional role of the Community Manager working for gaming companies. The thesis will examine which background and previous experience a Community Manager should have and the tasks included in the assignment to see how this new role can contribute to the development of gaming companies.Material/Method: The method used in this study is of a qualitative character. The data has been gathered through e-mail interviews with five people working as Community Managers in the gaming business and in addition, through a textual analysis of five job advertisements. The results were analyzed on the basis of carefully selected theories in the field of strategic communication.Main results: The main result of this study is that the Community Manager's most important task is to act as a link between the players and the game developers by communicating with both sides. The Community Manager can receive important feedback from the players which can contribute to the game development. .

Säkerhetssystem för dokumenthantering i Java

Det arbete som har utförts under våren och sommaren 1999 på Siemens Elema och som behandlas i denna rapport, hade som mål att implementera säkerhetsfunktioner i ett dokumenthanteringssystem för patientjournaler.Arbetet baseras på ett testsystem bestående av en applet och en servlet som i princip hade samma funktionalitet som det tilltänkta dokumenthanteringssystemet (loggade in användare, hämtade en fil från server, möjliggjorde för användaren att ändra i filen och till slut sparade filen på servern). Följande säkerhetsfunktioner implementerades:- Säker inloggning med dubbel, stark autentisering med certifikatsystem. Inloggningsproceduren undviker att skicka användarens lösenord över nätet.- Säker, krypterad dataöverföring med SSL- Digitala signaturer som ger positivt bevis av att ett sparat dokument på servern har skickats in av en viss användare.Hela systemet implementerades i Java 1.2 med standardkomponenter, som är fritt tillgängliga utan kostnad. Beslutet att använda Java 1.2 som utvecklingsplattform medförde att flera problem uppstod p.g.a. att säkerhetsfunktionaliteten i Java 1.2 (senare kallad Java 2) är relativt ny, oprövad och stödet för den är ännu inte fullt implementerat i de webbläsare som är mest vanliga (Netscape Communicator och InternetExplorer4). Dessa problem är delvis lösta eller kan kringgås och systemet kan nu installeras och köras på en vanlig PC, via en vanlig webbläsare..

"Varumärket är ingenting utan personalen" : Intern kommunikation av varumärket inom hotellsektorn

The purpose of this paper is to examine the correlation between hotels, their brands and the frontline staff within the industry. A competitive, international environment characterizes today´s hotel industry where brands are one of the strongest sources for a successful position amongst competitors. In the brand delivery, the front line staff is of utmost importance since they in many ways incorporate the brand values and the projected identity of the hotel. Hotels can use a variety of ways to communicate the brands identity to the front line staff in order to create the desired brand behavior, some more effective than others. At the same time the Swedish hotel industry, as many other, is characterized by a high percentage of staff turnovers.
