Brukarmedverkan omfattas av flera begrepp som till synes verkar betyda samma sak. Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera dessa begrepp men även att undersöka hur brukarmedverkan på allmänna platser fungerar..

I processen för en socialt hållbar utveckling är en viktig del att utöka brukarens möjlighet attpåverka sin verklighet. En utmaning i städers utveckling är att bättre länka samman områden medvarandra. Aspekten handlar till stor del om den byggda miljön och fysisk segregation, men enviktig konsekvens av segregation är också ett ibland upplevt utanförskap.Ett sätt att motverka den effekt som segregation och utanförskap kan få är just att göra brukaremer delaktiga i förändringsprocesser. Arbetet med utvecklingen av Fosie innefattar till en stordel brukardelaktighet. Denna studie tar upp två av delprojekten i Fosies utveckling och fokuserarpå Lindängens centrum och Lindängelund.

According to the theory of elitist democracy civic political participation should be reduced to participation in the democratic elections. This essay examines whether a high rate of institutionalized political participation beyond the elections leads to: (a) that those who are included gets a more favourable treatment at the expense of the common interest, in other words that their self interest threatens the political equality, (b) reduced freedom of action for the politicians and the headmasters, (c) the emergence of vague conditions of responsibility. These hypotheses are examined in an empirical study of user-boards at four schools on three locations in southern Sweden. In these user-boards the parents are in majority and have the right of decision, which has been delegated to them from the local government and the headmaster. The main conclusion is that, based on this empirical investigation, there is no support in any of the hypotheses.

Byggemenskap är ett begrepp, direkt översätt från tyskans ?baugemeinschaft?, som innebär att en grupp människor i egen regi planerar, låter bygga och använder en byggnad. Denna byggform som varit mycket framgångsrik i Tyskland sedan en tid, har så smått spridit sig till Sverige och resulterat i bl.a. ett bostadshus i Malmö som vann Sveriges främsta arkitekturpris, Kasper Salin-priset, år 2009. Byggformen och konceptet byggemenskap har ännu inte etablerat sig på den svenska marknaden men intresset växer då det finns flera fördelar för samhället och dess medborgare.Med detta arbete ringar vi in och lyfter fram vad byggemenskaper är, vad det medför och vilken plats det kan ta i dagens bostads- och samhällsplanering.

Barn skall ges förutsättningar till en bra start i livet. Varje barn har rätt till lek, vila och fritid. Utelek och rörelse är motorn i barns utveckling och den riskerar att begränsas då lekparkerna blir färre runt om i landet. Närområdet kring bostaden är viktig för barn och för deras fysiska aktiviteter och utveckling. Många kommuner har en ansträngd ekonomi vilket ofta innebär att skötsel och underhåll av lekparker blir eftersatt. Det finns olika åsikter och en pågående debatt om lekparker idag på olika nivåer.

The purpose of this study is to determine if and how municipal consultative entities through influence may affect the legitimacy of the Swedish democratic model. The study aims to do this through analysing the opportunities for influence present with the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality, to determine how the councils may affect political participation and the role of elected representatives. To do so, the study asks the following primary research question:"What requisites for influence are present for participants of municipal consultative entities, as found for the representatives of the youth and the retired within the framework of their participation in the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality?"The study answers this research question by dividing it into one question of policy and one question of democratic perspective, and investigating these matters through nine snowballing interviews with the decision makers, organisational actors and participants of the councils. The information from the interviews is then analysed per council through a framework of democracy theory, policy process theory and organisation theory.
