The purpose of my study is to examine how four teachers in a pre school believe they relates to and reasons about Bilingualism. To be able to realize thisstudy, i proposed three issue following:How do the teachers in kindergarten relate to Bilingualism?How do teachers in preschool reason around the work of bilingual children?What do teachers think about the educational environment in relation to language development?.

The purpose of the thesis is to see how Turkish students understand their Bilingualism. I have tried to explain Bilingualism as a phenomenon and give an insight in national steering documents on the basis of different concepts used by researchers.The method consists of qualitative interviews with standardized character. Five upper-secondary school students participated and independently discussed the answers.The result from the interviews is the participators view on Bilingualism. The answers were varying. I have got the answer of my question through the interviews and researches.

This essay deals about Bilingualism and lifepaths. The essay is based on a qualitative study, where eight individuales have been interviewed, all of them from Gränsskolan in Haparanda. The purpose of the essay is to study and create understanding to the bilingual students' perspective on their linguistic skills and the use of them as resources in a scholastic context. A qualitative method has been used to collect empirical data, based on the experiences and perspectives of the students. Bilingualism is defined and past research, which has shown how their Bilingualism has influenced them, has been linked with this study. Definition of mother tongue and the meaning of mother tongue tuition for student immigrants' development have been discussed. This research has shown that the students feel their Bilingualism is a natural occurrence.

The purpose of the study is to investigate into professional knowledge of the bilingual teachers, compared to monolingual, and what benefits they give to pre-school. Qualitative method was used to get an understanding of informant´s perspective on bilingual teachers. The informants believe that bilingual teachers are able to understand all the children. A bilingual teacher can make the children feel secure. If one has a positive attitude toward Bilingualism, the bilingual children also show a positive attitude that in turn contributes to learning and development of the language..

Reaching shared understanding during court hearings is a prerequisite to ensure a fair trial and maintaining legal certainty. Every month between 2,000 and 3,000 court hearings in Sweden make use of interpreters. Interpreter-mediated conversations involve an extra discourse compared to monolingual conversations which increases the risk of misunderstandings.Using methodology of conversation analysis the study explores how Bilingualism is expressed during interpreter-mediated court hearings, at which occasions the Spanish-speaking laymen switch to Swedish and what function the codeswitching fulfills. The study identifies patterns in codeswitching and categorizes them into six different types. Furthermore the ideology of monolingualism in court is challenged and the advantages and disadvantages of codeswitching is discussed.The analysis concludes that even though certain types of codeswitching lead to delays in the conversation, the interaction is mostly favored by the Spanish-speaking party understanding some Swedish.

This study aims to find out what students think about Bilingualism as well as whether there are advantages and disadvantages of it, based on the children's perspective. All children in this class are bilingual, is thus a mother tongue other than Swedish. All were born in Sweden but has parents who are originally from / born in other countries in addition to having mom who was born in Sweden but originally from another country. In my study I have chosen to use qualitative methods in which I used semi-structured interviews and non participant observations. In the study, I have come to interview the children think that being bilingual is good, they mean that there are some drawbacks to this except that it can sometimes be a bit hard when someone does not understand.

This work investigates how educationalists on a multi-cultural school work with language development of bilingually children. The children in both investigated classes have a different mother tongue which means that they have Swedish as a second language, they are bilingually. It?s relevant for me to know if there is any consideration taken for these bilingually children. If yes, then in what way? The method which is used is a two weeks observation of two classes in the third grade, complemented with semi- structured interviews with the two class teachers.

En metod som har fått ett stort genombrott i Norden i grundskolans tidigare år är Arne Tragetons läs- och skrivinlärningsmetod, att skriva sig till läsning (ASL). Eleverna använder datorn som skrivverktyg och arbetar i par. Pedagogen har en betydelsefull uppgift med att utforma skrivarpar där elever utvecklas och lär av varandra för att metoden ska fylla sin funktion. För att få ett samspel där barnen bidrar till varandras lärande finns det olika egenskaper som pedagoger utgår ifrån när de parar ihop sina elever.Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka vilka komponenter som pedagoger utgår ifrån när de utformar skrivarpar samt processen vid byte av par. Frågeställningarna som förde oss till vårt resultat innefattar: Hur planerar pedagoger arbetet med att dela in elever i skrivarpar? Vilka kvaliteter hos eleverna utgår de ifrån? När byter de skrivarpar under terminen? Hur skapar de gruppkonstellationer vid ojämnt antal elever?Vi skickade ut en intervjuenkät och fick in 34 svar som granskades på ett systematiskt sätt och begrepp bildades till kategorier.
