Audiological rehabilitation is a complex process and can involve medical, educational, psychological, social and technical proceedings. The Audiologist's part in this process is essential. The purpose of the study was twofold: to describe the Audiologist's working process and to explore patient records written by Audiologists according to structure, content and comprehensiveness. Method. Out of rules and regulations, code of ethics and literature concerning audiological rehabilitation from the Audiologist's point of view, a model for the Audiologist's working process was developed.

The Audiologists´ knowledge-domain is generally described as a unique combination of medical, technical, social and behavioural sciences. It gives prominence to the importance of an adequate education relating to the knowledge-demands the students´encounter during their trainee-period. However, an important question is if the educational content corresponds to the knowledge-demands during the training? Aim: This study aimed to identify the knowledge-demands of students during their trainee-period. Furthermore, to identify how the students´ actual knowledge was related to the encountered knowledge-demands.

The purpose of this study was to examine effects of hearing aid use and to do a judgment of the provement. The investigation was a pilot study and may be used in the clinic.The international form ?International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids? (IOI-HA) was used for data collection. Four questions were chosen from the form. These questions were answered by hearing aid users and their significant others.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the absence of an external source. 10-15 % of the population is experiencing tinnitus. There are different causes such as damage to the inner ear, musculartension and stress. Tinnitus affects many different aspects of an individuals life and often disturbs everyday activities. There are different treatments for tinnitus.

Different forms of relaxing methods can be used in rehabilitation for individuals with tinnitus and Ménièré?s disease. Research continues to find convincing proof of effects from the different methods. This study presents methods of relaxing, massage and Mindfulness, as possible complementary rehabilitation tools.The purpose of this study was to investigate opinions about relaxing from professionals working with hearing care. A qualitative approach with phenomenological influence was chosen for the study.

Modern sjukvård har blivit fragmenterad vilket medför nackdelar för patienter och personal. Teamarbete över professionsgränserna har identifierats som ett sätt att motverka fragmentering och erbjuda god heltäckande vård. Detta har relevans för hörselvården där många patienter behöver insatser från olika professioner. Arbetets syfte var att göra en kartläggning av teamarbete inom svensk offentlig hörselvård samt att undersöka hur teamarbetet ser ut. En totalundersökning har gjorts av Sveriges 21 landsting/regioner.

Audiologisk rehabilitering är en komplicerad process som ska innehålla olika insatser byggda på ett holistisk synsätt med medicinska, tekniska och beteendevetenskapliga aspekter involverade. Historiskt har dock den tekniska och medicinska delen ofta fått ta större plats än psykosociala bitar i rehabiliteringen.Syftet med studien var att undersöka likheter och skillnader angående audiologisk rehabilitering utifrån ramverket, ideologin samt praktiken i Danmark, Norge, Sverige och på Island.Metod: För att kunna uppnå syftet och få en mer helhetlig inblick i ämnet delades studien i två delar (litteraturstudie och enkätstudie). Litteraturstudien berörde ramverket i samtliga länder samt ideologin. Enkätstudien berörde praktiken i form av audionomens egen syn på audiologisk rehabilitering samt deras uppfattning av tillvägagångssättet på arbetsplatsen.Resultat: En röd tråd går genom ramverket, ideologin och praktiken i varje land. Vad gäller dessa huvudpunkter visade studien att det fanns både likheter och skillnader länderna emellan.
