Background: Sleep-disturbances in persons with AlzheimerÂŽs disease are prevalent. They are characterized as increased frequency and duration of awakenings, decreased slow-wave sleep, REM-sleep and increase of day-time napping. Depression and lower quality of life are associated with sleep-disturbances. Altogether a significant source of stress for caregivers and an important factor in institutionalization. Non-pharmacological treatment alternatives are rare.Method: Single-case A-B-C design, with non-concurrent multiple baselines, a pilotstudy.Aim: To explore if an educational program on sleep, sleep disturbances and behavioural change directed towards caregivers improved sleep, depression and quality of life in persons with AlzheimerÂŽs disease living at home.

NÄgonting som Àven har berörts i diskussionerna kring gymnasieskolan och dess program Àr dess relation till arbetsmarknaden och till högre utbildningsformer, sÄ som universitet och högskola. Inte minst har detta skett den nya gymnasieförordningen, SFS 2010:2039, trÀdde i kraft under 2011. Detta arbete stÀvar efter att synliggöra hur media i form av tre tidningar, SkolvÀrlden, Svenska Dagbladet och Dagens Nyheter, under perioden frÄn 2011-01-01 till 2012-12-31 har valt att presentera debatten kring de teoretiska och de praktiska yrkesprogrammen i gymnasieskolan i sina artiklar. .

The purpose of Älvdalens besparingsskog is to develop the district and most of all the forestry in Älvdalen. It's owned by about 2 300 private forest owners who's landed properties are located in Älvdalen. Every year the besparingsskogen gives out a lot of its profit in form different types of subsidies for agriculture and forestry. The owners can apply for subsidies for several of the costs that occur in forestry. During the period 2000-2003 the owners are offered forest management plans and pcSKOG-gĂ„rd at no cost for their private forest properties. The purpose of this master's thesis was to find out if the activity in the forestry changed when the forest owners got new forest management plans and the computer program pcSKOG-gĂ„rd.

Skanska 21 is a student program for university students. The program runs for a year and a half parallel to university studies. It is aimed at those studying a few specific master engineering programs at Lund University, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Chalmers University of Technology or LuleÄ University of Technology. This report summarizes the development of a calculation program estimating the profitability of converting a peak-load oil-fired boiler to pellets. To convert an oil-fired boiler to pellets a new fuel handling system must be designed. Changes also have to be made to some other components. Since there are many different techniques for transportation, storage and treatment of the fuel only the most interesting techniques from Swecos experience and interest were included in the study.The capacity of the different parts in the system was dimensioned based on the power of the boiler after conversion. To estimate prices, installed power and dimensions manufacturers and distributers were contacted.

Risk-based sampling program of microorganisms in the water source in northern SwedenAfter several disease outbreaks caused by parasites in the drinking water during the last years, it is more essential than ever to insure that the water supply companies have enough barriers to counteract the presence of microorganisms in the outgoing water. It is also discussed whether climate changes such as increased precipitation can have a connection to the increased cases of parasites in water sources. The water source at GÀddvik is LuleÄ municipality?s largest and provides drinking water to 64 500 of LuleÄ?s 74 000 inhabitants. The investigation of microorganisms in the water source, especially in the Lule River has not been as prioritized as the sampling of chemical parameters.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att ta reda pÄ vilka tankar som finns angÄende helhetsperspektivet i den stundande gymnasiereformen Gymnasieskola 2007 (GY-07). För att fÄ reda pÄ detta intervjuades tvÄ rektorer och Ätta lÀrare som fick ge sin syn pÄ den kommande reformen. De tillhörde tvÄ olika program, ett studieförberedande respektive ett yrkesförberedande och dessa program kontrasteras mot varandra. Resultatet visar att alla informanter har en positiv instÀllning till reformen men att det yrkesförberedande programmet Àr mer positivt instÀllda Àn det studieförberedande programmet som hyser mindre tillförsikt till implementeringen av reformen..

We have studied the differences between people debating on a program in apublic service-channel and a privately-owned channel. We have chosen thetwo biggest debate programs, KvÀllsöppet in the privately-owned channelTV4 and Debatt in the public service-channel SVT 1. We have in aquantitative content analysis studied female and male, how many of each thatare participating, how long time they talk in the program and in what rolethey have in the debate. We have studied 10 episodes of KvÀllsöppet thespring season 2010 and compared with Johanna Paulsson & Patrik Rosellstudy ?30/70.

Stora Enso Skog has a long term contract regarding felling rights and silvicultural activities on forest owned by Bergvik Skog. In the autumn 2006, Bergvik Skog proposed a new thinning program, ?Bergvikgallring?. The new program implied an increased focus on extraction of smaller trees compared to the present thinning program, Stora Enso Skog?s ?Kvalitetsgallring?.

During the nineties, ecological handling of urban storm water became very popular in Sweden. Together with Chalmers University of Technology and two Swedish communities, DHI Water and Environment has been doing research of storm water ponds and constructed wetlands. This thesis work is a part of that research project. The work has been applied at the BÀckaslöv storm water treatment plant in VÀxjö, Sweden. The plant consists of one storm water pond and a downstream constructed wetland.

Youth crime is a subject widely discussed in media as well as in the academic field of criminology. One of the topics within the research field of youth crime discusses how to effectively help young people leave a criminal lifestyle behind. It is within this topic that the focus of this essay lies. This qualitative study examines a community based program in the Swedish city of Malmö called Nya VÀgvalet (The New Choice of Path, own translation), which works with juvenile delinquents and the issues that surround the youths lifestyle. The aim of the essay is to explore the foundations and methodology of the program, how the methods of the program are put into practice and how these methods compare to what current research findings claim to be effective factors in successful interventions.

Syftet med denna undersökning Àr att ta reda pÄ hur lÀrare i gymnasieskolan arbetar med fiktioner av olika slag och om arbetssÀtten skiljer sig Ät beroende pÄ om undervisningen sker i ett yrkesförberedande program eller ett högskoleförberedande program. Fyra verksamma lÀrare intervjuades utifrÄn en halvstrukturerad intervjuguide. Resultatet visar att lÀrarna har frÄngÄtt de gamla traditionella arbetssÀtten dÀr man ofta arbetade i kronologisk ordning och dÀr eleverna fick skriva recensioner. Idag lÀggs fokus pÄ att hitta teman, koppla fiktioner till samhÀllets utveckling och elevernas egna liv och erfarenheter samt att analysera fiktioner via gruppdiskussioner alternativt helklassdiskussioner. Filmens roll i skolan har fÄtt högre status och filmens sprÄk har tagit plats i undervisningen.

The purpose of this essay was to develop a conservation program for the outdoor environment at the Zorn House (ZorngÄrden) in Mora, Dalarna, situated in the upper central part of Sweden. In the conservation program the Zorn House garden?s origins and development process has been studied by historical studies of various kinds. As a result a status report also has been made and a description of the garden's values. This has resulted in an objective discussion that provides guidelines for how the garden can be developed in the future.

The purpose of this work is to do an investigation on the customers in the pharmaceutical sector; mainly general physicians who have taken part in the education events have any impact in their prescription behaviour after the participation in the program. The settings for this study are general practitioners in the Swedish market who have taken part in the education program held by Novo Nordisk in the treatment of diabetes disease. Methodology: The methodological approach adopted for this work is quantitative; using secondary data from the internal database from the company. The analytical model is tested through statistical analysis using the data?s obtained from the databases.
