Youth culture and social problems associated with Youth groups have existed for decades. We have chosen an explorative case study design to highlight young people's revolt against parents and society and how society has dealt with social problems of Youth and how those were perceived. ?Raggare? were considered a major social problem in society. The material in the study comes from eight qualitative interviews and literature of previous research of the current Youth culture.

The purpose of this essay has been to examine how the city of Helsingborg´s prevention of alcohol and drug use among Youths is laid out. It has been of special interest to examine the Youth centers (after school programs) preventive work with Youths and its effects on frequency of alcohol and narcotics use among Youths.The people we have interviewed are all involved in the three organizations: the Youth centers, schools, and social services. The results showed that the Youth center staff does not think that they work actively preventive against alcohol and narcotics. On the other hand, the staff at the Youth centers points out that just keeping the Youths in the neighbourhood and making them involved in the activities at the Youth center, is preventary work. The staff at the social services points out that it is not the facilities that is part of the preventive work but the activities and the skill of the staff that is improtant for the Youths..

There can be a gap between the author and the reader. This gap is especially remarkable when the author is an adult and the reader is a young person. The librarian has an important role as an intermediary of literature when it comes to selecting literature for young people. From this perspective the purpose of this paper has been to investigate how young people comprehend the problems and the stories of Youth novels, first published in 2001, and to investigate to what extent descriptions of problems occur in this literature and what kind of problems that are described. The investigation consists of three parts: an examination of reviews of Youth novels written by editors from Bibliotekstjänst and an examination of a number of Youth to examine a number of Youth novels that have been read, and sixteen interviews with college students in the first and third grade have also been done.

When young people are placed in residential care, the staff have a responsibility to ensure that the Youth have a safe environment where they can thrive and develop. Residential staff also have responsibilities to ensure the rights of Youth during the residential care. This study aims to examine how staff consider themselves to treat the Youth in residential care. Furthermore the study aims to examine how the staff consider themselves to ensure Youth their right to be heard and have an impact on their own lives, in agreement with Article 12 of the UN convention on the rights of the child (CRC). The aim of this thesis is to investigate the attitudes of librarians towards young people's approaches to libraries and reading. The study also includes statements of the young as regards their own library usages and reading habits, as well as the attitudes of Youth leaders. The latter are compared to the statements of librarians, and serve as referential frameworks. 28 interviews were performed, of which 22 with young people. The interviews and the following discussion were based on five themes; the library as a room, usages of the library, reading habits, the library as an institution, and library changes and developments.

The aim of this study was to investigate the leaving care services provided to Youth leaving residential care in Sweden. Through the use of qualitative research interviews residential care workers perception of what practical and emotional needs Youth leaving care have, and whether current aftercare services meet these needs, were examined. The study further sought to compare the swedish and english leaving care services. The main findings of the study were that the residential care workers interviewed expressed that they had a good working relationship with the local social services and that they through the residential care services were able to provide some degree of aftercare. They further identified loneliness as the most prominent emotional need of Youth had after leaving care.

The aim of this study was to examine the existing discourse of Youth robberies from year 2003 to year 2013 in DN and Aftonbladet. By using discourseanalysis as theory and method I have studied newsartikles from these two newspapers.The study shows that the portrayal of Youth robberies is focused on the young muggers as a group and not as individuals. The groups that are mentioned are young men and women, children and muggers with another ethnical background than swedish. Girls, children and ethnical background are given more attention in the articles, and are portrayed as more problematic. The Youth robberies are described as brutal and are focused on the young muggers as unrestrained, evil individuals with no future.The analysis also shows that a change in the discourse is taking place during the studied period.

This study attempts to answer the question of how Youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on Youth unemployment. I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on Youth position in the labor market. Because Youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power. I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level. .

The aim of our study is to explore the thoughts and beliefs held by the professionals who work with the sentence Youth service for young offenders, and how they feel about the same.How is the sentence Youth service perceived from a professional perspective? How does the concurrence look like between the police, the social services and the prosecutor, when it comes to young offenders? What kind of difficulties/challenges do the professionals see in the possibility to effect the sentence Youth service?The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consists of seven semi-structured interviews with two police officers, four social workers and one prosecutor.The results of our study indicate that Youth service is a good sentence for young first-time offenders; the study also indicates that concurrence between the different professions is a success factor; furthermore the study revealed that it was very difficult finding adequate working places..

The purpose with this study is to see how there is a co-op among communicating players , between leaders and players and to examine what meaning communication and culture got  in a Youth team. The ambition with this study was to increase our knowledge about communication and communicationculture in the Youth floorball team. This study is qualitative and was inspired by an ethnographical method so we got the information from observations of a Youth floorball team, totally we made four observations. The result were analyzed and categorized from our observation papers.

The purpose of this study is to get increased knowledge of young people and their experience and thoughts about existential questions, and if the adults in Junior highschool take them into consideration. Our purpose to look at the result in a gender perspective was also a part of this work. Our starting point is the theory of Youth, their existential questions and the importance of their identity-work in the late modern society. We interviewed six Youth at the age of 15-16. We used hermeneutic theory to analyse the text.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to get increased knowledge of how teachers motivate and teach Youth about existential questions at junior highchool. My issue for this composition is to find out how ? and how much ? teachers in fact teach about existential questions in the religious education.I interviewed four teachers at junior highschool, with various experiences. One teacher had about thirty years of experience in teaching, and one teacher was quite young and unexperienced.The result indicates that the Youth were interested in a lot of existential questions. The study also indicates the teachers view of Youth?s identity-work and their existential questions.The resultat is compared with studies of Dahlin, Hartman and Sjödin..
