The political and civil unrest during the last years of the First World War had a profound impact on the political life in many European countries. Academic research on the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the development of the parliamentary system during these years, often focus on the civil unrest and the mobilization of the labour movement during the spring of 1917, and the impact on Swedish politics of the Russian and German revolutions.This study is an examination of the relation between the Swedish labour movement and the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The general aim of the study is to examine how different levels and organisations of the labour movement acted in regards to the situation in Finland, and how these different levels and organisations interacted with one another. A second aim of this examination is to better understand during what kind of processes of the Swedish labour movement?s history that the Finnish Civil War occurred, and how it affected them.The conclusion of the study is that the there was a disparity between the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SAP), which at the time was part of the Swedish government together with the liberal party, and the grassroots of the labour movement, organized in trade unions, and in the local organizations of the SAP and the Social Democratic Left Party (SSV).

Många stora svenska produktionsföretag har idag valet att agera självständigt med innebörden att de antingen går ur sina samarbeten eller köper upp sin kinesiska partner. Anledningarna till att samarbetena ingicks var självklara, men vilka är premisserna för att företagen ska stanna kvar i dem? Syftet är att finna motiven bakom Joint Ventures i Kina och se för- och nackdelarna med dessa och vilken inverkan de har på de svenska produktionsföretagen efter det att marknaden öppnats ytterligare.

When discussing local development attention is often given to the problems involved. Factors like decreasing population and inadequate infrastructure are two examples. Local politics has, however, lately been argued to have possibilities to affect its own development and its chances to achieve growth. Some of the most important factors from this debate are to make a community attractive for people and companies, committed leadership, the local business world with entrepreneurialism and a good business climate. These factors serve as a starting point for this discussion where focus is on the possibilities to achieve growth on the local level and the politics that is used for this purpose.To illustrate the chances to affect local growth I apply the theoretical perspective of regime theory and thereby examine the governing coalitions "power to" govern and not "power over" as the earlier theoretical perspectives in the area.

In the post Cold-War era, world politics was transforming itself through its emerging complex issues such as terrorism and influential and interdependent actors such as the European Union. In this new era, the European Union was developing its Common Foreign and Security Policy pillar both to present a coherent and unified EU policy and to prove its political potent in order to become an influential actor on world politics. On the other side, security environment was also transforming its content through emerging actors and issues. As one of the most prominent actors of the world politics, the EU was influenced by the transformation of security environment, whose economic ?soft power? proved necessary but insufficient for being a global power in this emerging security environment.

Det politiska uppdraget för Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) i Finland är att bedriva programverksamhet som erbjuder ett mångsidigt utbud av fakta, åsikter och diskussion samt utveckla inhemsk konst, kultur och stimulerande underhållning. Yle ska behandla den finskspråkiga och den svenskspråkiga befolkningen på lika grunder. Under många år samsände Yles svenska och finska verksamhet. Först 2001 fick de svenskspråkiga programmen en egen kanal, FST5 och från den 1 september 2011 delar Sveriges Televisions utlandskanal SVT World kanalplats med FST5. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur det svenskspråkiga programutbudet i Yle utvecklats mellan 1986 och 2011 med utgångspunkt från public serviceuppdraget.

Granskningen utgår från en analys av hans grundläggande begrepp, ?civilization? och ?clash?, och från ytterligare en analys av hur hans modell skiljer sig från andra modeller om världen. Med hjälp av dessa analyser diskuterar jag rimligheten i den tes som han ställer upp och konsekvenserna som hans förutsägelser och policyrekommendationer får, för att sedan kunna bedöma om hans modell är användbar eller inte.

In this paper discourse analysis on the Ethiopian National Action Program (NAP) to combat desertification is made. The aim is to describe how the overall image/picture of desertification, its causes, and effects and of possible solutions are presented in the NAP. The result of this analysis shows that the main cause of desertification is human activities mainly due to the poorly developed socio-economic situation in the dryland areas. It is indicated that an excessive dependency of the rural population on the natural resources, particularly land, is the major cause of land degradation and this deterioration of land is said to have been caused by the rapid population growth, overgrazing, forest clearing as well as past government and institutional failures. In addition it is indicated that the effect of desertification usually involves ecological changes that sap land of its ability to sustain agriculture and human habitation, therefore the most serious threat to human welfare.

Because of this, the urban areas have become an important part in the debate about the effects on the environment and sustainability. In many countries word wide initiatives have been taken to build sustainable cities and eco cities, the Stockholm Royal Seaport is one example. This report presents the preliminary study and work for the development of a site structure for the upcoming reengineering of inter-tool Infopunkt. The report describes how I have conducted a study regarding the current inter-tool information center and its development potential. Thereafter compiling the information to develop a comprehensive design approach to create a sitemap. The sitemap illustrates a new updated page structure for Infopunkt and was the primary goal of the thesis. Metod Studien utgår från en deduktiv ansats där en kvalitativ metod använts för att finna svaret på vår frågeställning. Undersökningsdesignen som nyttjats är en fallstudie där vi dels tagit del av lagförslag, remissvar samt rättsfall men även intervjuat företag, institutioner, samt myndigheter via telefon. Teoretiskt perspektiv Studien är baserad på teorier såsom pecking-order- hypotesen, trade-offeorin samt agent-principalteorin. Empiri Uppsatsen har utgått från lagförslaget Sänkt bolagsskatt och vissa andra skatteåtgärder för företag, proposition 2008/09:65, samt aktuella rättsfall.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how work and individuals is portrayed in today?s labor market policies and workrelated coaching. To do this I am using discourse analysis. My theoretical points are social constructivism, governmentality, coaching and theories regarding activity. The results portray a picture of work as the foundation of society and the main way to break isolation.

När en spelstudio ska designa ett dataspel är det viktigt att veta hur konsumenten, det vill säga spelaren, kommer att spela spelet. Därför är det avgörande att genomföra speltester och samla in digital information för att få en så klar bild som möjligt över hur en spelare interagerar när denne spelar. En viktig sak för utvecklaren är att försöka få spelaren att investera sig själv i spelet, både emotionellt samt med sin tid. Syftet med vår undersökning är att försöka ta reda på vilket sätt spelutvecklare kan förutse och kontrollera hur en spelare skall spela ett datorspel. Vi har valt att göra denna undersökning på en specifik spelstudio samt på ett specifikt spel.

The aim of this essay is to find out how students at Malmö University relate to moral responsibility in their private consumption. I am going to test moral theories in order to find out if researchers have a too moral starting point in comparison to everyday use. Through a critical research, free from valuation, I also aim to raise a discussion about moral responsibility which should lead to fair trade in the long run. My essay discusses the subject out of a Swedish city, Malmö - a place where many stores, cafés and restaurant are using moral responsibility as a step in their marketing. The results show that students are interested in morality but their financial conditions are their prior factor..
