SyfteVårt syfte är att se hur musikfestivaler kan bidra till och påverka en orts platsmarknadsföring och platsvarumärke.Forskningsfrågor vi har formulerat är följande:Hur kan en musikfestival påverka en ort?Hur kan en ort dra nytta av en musikfestival i sin platsmarknadsföring?Varför skapar sig orter ett platsvarumärke?MetodVi har utfört en kvalitativ studie. Vi började med att leta upp passande teori för musikturism då det området intresserar oss, efter det skapade vi syfte och forskningsfrågor. Därefter har vi har valt att utföra åtta delvis strukturerade intervjuer för insamling av empiri. Vi har med hjälp av den insamlade empirin skapat en teoretisk och empirisk analys.

Never again the world wanted to witness the atrocities committed in Rwanda, but at the same time some states argued in favor of a strict interpretation of the principle of state sovereignty and non-intervention. Studien undersöker hur man på ett praktiskt sätt kan knyta samman musikteori-, gehörs- och ensembleundervisningen. Syftet är att undersöka möjligheten att i jazzsammanhang träna sitt gehör i grupp vid sina instrument. Jag har utvecklat tre gehörsövningar som undersöks i den här studien. Övningarna är konstruerade så att exempelvis pianisten skall övas i att höra basgångar, medan basisten övas i att höra ackordläggningar. En av ensembledeltagarna (piano, gitarr, sång, blås eller bas) styr övningen och väljer hur ackordföljden ska fortsätta genom att följa vissa regler (exempelvis upplöses dominanter alltid ren kvart upp/ren kvint ner).

Title: Go for it! - A study of anxiety in relation to students performing in ensemble class.This study discusses anxiety in relation to students in ensemble performance. The expectations on musicians are extremely high and demanding. They are expected to perform to the maximum of their ability despite both physical and mental pressure. I present in this study the result of the interviews I have performed with three students at Swedish Academies of Music. The study shows that all of the students included are in one way or the other suffering from anxiety in relation to performance.

When discussing local development attention is often given to the problems involved. Factors like decreasing population and inadequate infrastructure are two examples. Local politics has, however, lately been argued to have possibilities to affect its own development and its chances to achieve growth. Some of the most important factors from this debate are to make a community attractive for people and companies, committed leadership, the local business world with entrepreneurialism and a good business climate. These factors serve as a starting point for this discussion where focus is on the possibilities to achieve growth on the local level and the politics that is used for this purpose.To illustrate the chances to affect local growth I apply the theoretical perspective of regime theory and thereby examine the governing coalitions "power to" govern and not "power over" as the earlier theoretical perspectives in the area.

In the post Cold-War era, world politics was transforming itself through its emerging complex issues such as terrorism and influential and interdependent actors such as the European Union. In this new era, the European Union was developing its Common Foreign and Security Policy pillar both to present a coherent and unified EU policy and to prove its political potent in order to become an influential actor on world politics. On the other side, security environment was also transforming its content through emerging actors and issues. As one of the most prominent actors of the world politics, the EU was influenced by the transformation of security environment, whose economic ?soft power? proved necessary but insufficient for being a global power in this emerging security environment.

This thesis is about the interaction between composition, notation and interpretation and what occurs between the fields with an extended notation.The purpose of my thesis is to examine the possibilities tothoroughly describe and map the sounding samples through composition prototypes.The thesis has a qualitative approach, and the empirical material consists of different documents about notation and from interviews with musicians and students about the instruments used in the thesis.It also consists of 17 compositions recorded at Örebro University School of Music as an appendix.The analysis shows that the context in which the symbols are found, play an important role in performing them. Yle ska behandla den finskspråkiga och den svenskspråkiga befolkningen på lika grunder. Under många år samsände Yles svenska och finska verksamhet. Först 2001 fick de svenskspråkiga programmen en egen kanal, FST5 och från den 1 september 2011 delar Sveriges Televisions utlandskanal SVT World kanalplats med FST5. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur det svenskspråkiga programutbudet i Yle utvecklats mellan 1986 och 2011 med utgångspunkt från public serviceuppdraget.

Denna uppsats är en kritisk granskning av Samuel P. Huntingtons modell att förstå världspolitiken utifrån, som han presenterar i boken The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order. Granskningen utgår från en analys av hans grundläggande begrepp, ?civilization? och ?clash?, och från ytterligare en analys av hur hans modell skiljer sig från andra modeller om världen. Med hjälp av dessa analyser diskuterar jag rimligheten i den tes som han ställer upp och konsekvenserna som hans förutsägelser och policyrekommendationer får, för att sedan kunna bedöma om hans modell är användbar eller inte.

Meningen med denna uppsats är att ge läsaren en förståelse för hur skivbranschen använder sig utav Internet vid marknadsföring och produktlansering, detta har lett till att vi valt att undersöka hur skivbranschen använder sig utan Internet som ett marknadsförings- och produktlanseringsverktyg. All around the world more and more people move from rural areas to live in the cities. Because of this, the urban areas have become an important part in the debate about the effects on the environment and sustainability. In many countries word wide initiatives have been taken to build sustainable cities and eco cities, the Stockholm Royal Seaport is one example. The vision for the district is to become a world class sustainable city based on the three dimensions of sustainable development: social, economic and ecologic. The municipality of Stockholm has set requirements for the buildings? energy usage, emissions and amount of waste generated during the building process.
