Many people perceive a division between an online world and the ?real? world outside of the World Wide Web. However, this view often leads to a reduced sense of importance ascribed to what takes place online, even though it affects life in very real ways. In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

I och med Internets framväxt de senaste tio åren har en ny underhållningsmarknad öppnat sig. En ny form av kommunikation och interaktion har möjliggjorts. Inmy exam project I elected to work with a photographicpublication about fragments of pictures combined in differentways, changing the context of the photographs andmaking the reader search for the whole picture, literary.During the project I tried to create a method for foldingwhich would make the pictures communicate differentlydepending on how they where stacked against each other.I wanted to explore new ways to read the photo book, andhow the format could be transformed by folding, to beable to show the pictures in a larger scale. Working withthe material from an earlier project about defragmentation,I wanted to create a book that would correspond tothis and figure out how it would work..

Non-compulsory schools in Sweden should make use of the knowledge and experience that is available in society according to the aims and objectives of the Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System - Lpf 94. There are however only a few studies which have focused on the contacts between non-compulsory schools and society as represented by the business world in Sweden.The purpose of this study is to examine in what ways and to what extent non-compulsory schools are following the Curriculum by using the knowledge and experience of the business world. The perspectives have been: Which contacts in the business world and which working practices from the business world are implemented in teaching in non-compulsory schools? In what way do these contacts and working practices affect the teaching and learning of business administration? The purpose of this study is also to examine if the teachers in non-compulsory schools use business information and different kinds of business knowledge and experiences in order to keep themselves up-to-date regarding the business world. The perspectives have been: Are the teachers using up-to-date business information or business experience? Are the teachers applying a multicultural perspective in teaching business studies? In what way does this kind of information or first-hand experience affect the teaching and learning of business administration?The method used in this study was to interview seven teachers from two non-compulsory schools in Stockholm.

The aim of this study was to look into the approach of swedish journalists towards Twitter and how they apply the media ethics when using Twitter.The method for this research was a survey answered by 371 Swedish journalists, from workplaces of various contents and geographical spread, of which 271 were users of Twitter. Our results are based on the survey and theories such as the social responsibility theory, the code of ethics for the Swedish press, radio and television, gatekeeping, normalizing twitter and the private sphere of Habermas.Our results showed that swedish journalists aim to apply the media etics in most aspects such as objectivity and gatekeeping. Also the guidelines of using twitter as a journalist, according to the respondents, mainly comes from the workplace and not the code of ethics. It also showed that the majority of the journalists were pleased with the current guidelines, or the absence of guidelines..

Perspektivet som anläggs på spelet och dess användare är ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv. Det socialpsykologiska perspektivet utgörs av den symboliska interaktionismen, sociala roller och rum samt Johan Asplunds teori om social responsivitet. I uppsatsen relateras även teorier om det medialiserade samhällets inverkan på individ och sociala rum. Kunskap om fältet har genererats främst genom ostrukturerade intervjuer med användare, samt genom en kulturanalys av verket.

Increasing volatility and less political intervention from the CAP in the market price of wheat is making it more difficult than in the past for Swedish farmers to determine the price at which they should sell their wheat. In the past, the Swedish farmer-owned company Lantmännen has traditionally set a guideline price for Swedish wheat every year to which farmers could adapt, but ceased doing so last year. Therefore this study sought to identify the parameters on which the price of wheat is dependent on by using a reduced form model. The perspective adopted was that of farmers. The model proved able to identify the main factors determining the annual price fluctuations in wheat, with all variables included having an impact on the wheat price, except export quantity in the previous year.

Denna uppsats behandlar adjektivets a- och e-ändelser i personsyftande bestämda nominalfraser. Syftet med studien är att se om det har skett en förändring i bruket av dessa former i tidningstext, och främst om e-ändelser har ökat för kvinnliga referenter och neutrumord samt a-ändelser för manliga referenter. Undersökningen är korpusbaserad och har genomförts i Språkbankens konkordanser, Press 65 och Press 98, där femtio adjektiv har valts ut och undersökts med båda formerna. Resultaten av undersökningen är att e-ändelser för kvinnliga referenter samt neutrumord har ökat något och även att a-ändelsen har ökat för manliga referenter. Detta tyder på att det har skett en uppluckring av den traditionella användningen av adjektivändelserna under den aktuella perioden.

ABSTRAKTUnder de senaste åren har det släppts flera onlinespel inom genren MMORPG och deras popularitet har ökat. Vid vår litteraturstudie framgick det att tidigare forskning visar på att spelare av MMORPG spel utvecklar olika kompetenselement genom sitt spelande men tar inte upp spelares uppfattning kring detta. Därför har vi undersökt spelares uppfattning kring sin egen kompetensutveckling i ett MMORPG spel samt vilka spelmoment som kan bidra till detta. Vi utförde en netnografisk studie med enkät, intervjuer och deltagande observation i World of Warcraft. The purpose of this study is to compare the representation of criminals in the Swedish television show ?Efterlyst? regarding ethnical background between the year 1998 and the year 2006. The aim is to determine if and how the representation of ethnicity have changed over the examined years. We have then examined 13 shows from each year and categorized the criminals by ethnicity, type of crime and length of each segment. We have come to a conclusion that the show has a noticeable overrepresentation of criminals with non-Swedish ethnical background.

The investigation is focusing on the development of the organization of knowledge, of the catalogues, of the classification system and of the information retrieval. The thesis examines the factors which force the development of the activity at the library and of the organization of knowledge. The study uses a qualitative approach which is based on investigations of different types of catalogues, of the electronic database, of the classification system, of the subject indexing and on interviews. A describing analysis is used.

The brother has been living a hectic life of drug addiction. The relationship between brother and sister is characterized by ironic distance, but also a lot of love.
