The aim of the current study was to examine the radical right-wing sympathizers in Sweden. To fulfill this aim, a quantitative case study on Sweden Democrats sympathizers was conducted. More specifically, this study has examined socio-economic backgrounds and political attitudes of the Sweden Democrat sympathizers. The results show that sympathizers of Sweden Democrats are higher among younger people and men. The results also show a higher support for Sweden Democrats among people with lower education and low income that also live in small towns and in the countryside.

Sports Marketing is a growing part in the world of sports today. Our main purpose of this paper was to analyze which role marketing plays for an ice hockey organization in the Swedish elite today. For this study we did a case study research on the Swedish team Södertälje Sportklubb, where we interviewed seven people. In addition to the people in the organizations we chose to interview two sport journalists. This research was made from an organizations point of view and all of the interviews were of qualitative character.

The purpose of the study was to investigate how young female Kurd immigrants experienced their existence between two different cultures, namely Swedish compared to the immigrants parents culture. How their experience behavioural conduct between the opposite sex before marriage and if the young female Kurds thought the mass media picture of them was thought of as a correct image of their lives in general or whether they experienced it as a generalisation only. We chose qualitative methods for our study and used suitable literature based on the theories of this subject to be able to understand the problem. To go deeper whit the study five young female Kurds aged between eighteen and twenty years were asked if they would participate in an interview on the subject. These participants proved that they had no problem at all being multicultural.

This master thesis summarizes contemporary theories on secularization processes in the Western world, and compares these with the example of Sweden, which by many scholars is considered to be the most secularized country in the Western world.I do this by dividing the most influential theorists in five different groups. In each group I explain how the theorists formulate and motivate their positions. These groups are:1) The secularization paradigm, where secularization always accompanies modernization. (Therorists: Steve Bruce and Peter Berger (in the 1960s)2) The paradigm basically accepted, but revised to depend on existential security, rather than modernisation as such. (Pippa Norris and Ronald Inglehart)3) Religion returned in the public sphere.

I detta arbete har vi studerat förutsättningar för att lösa en problematisk trafiksituation där trafiken leds genom Gällivare tätort. Trafiken som går genom staden i dagsläget leder till sämre boendemiljö.För att lösa de identifierade problemen valde vi att med datorstöd ta fram förslagsritningar för en ny vägsträckning utanför tätbebyggt område. Sträckan det rör sig om är 5,9 km lång med en hastighetsbegränsning på 90 km/h.All utformning av vägens geometri har utförts i enlighet med trafikverkets krav gällande dimensionering av vägkonstruktioner. Som resultat att visa upp har vi skapat ritningar i plan, profil samt sektion som följer alla dimensioneringskrav.Rapporten redovisar även en kostnadsuppskattning för produktion av vägen. Kostnaden är framräknad till 70 miljoner kronor med hjälp av ett tidigare referensprojekt som trafikverket utfört 2012.Osäkerheter i arbetet framförs i ett eget kapitel, där alla osäkerheterna så som avsaknad av geotekniska undersökningar, felaktig data, trafikmängd mm.

The aim of this paper is to find an algorithm to establish and maintain a virtual enclosure around a mobile unit. The area may take any form and should be scalable up to and including national borders. The enclosure is managed on the mobile unit. The target system is Android. Smartphones, tablets and more recently, cameras is examples of mobile units. A modern mobile unit is part of a computer network.

This is a non-traditional examination paper written after three years of studies at Malmö University and the Kaospilot Program. It is written in Swedish and in the spring of 2009. It describes a non-linear project based on a process-orientated theory called Theory-U by Otto C. Scharmer (2009). The project aims to investigate the changing conditions of Stage Theatre and deals with non-linearity as phenomena.

Bakgrund och problem: En mängd nya standarder tillkom år 2005 när IFRS blev tvingande för börsnoterade företags koncernredovisningar inom EU. En av dessa nya standarder var IAS 36 punkt 134 som behandlar upplysningskrav vid nedskrivningsprövning av goodwill. Studier om företags redovisning av goodwill och dess nedskrivning de första åren med IFRS visade att redovisning av flera upplysningskrav var bristfälliga, dock spåddes det förbättringspotential av en del forskare. Det har även utförts studier om bakomliggande faktorer som kan ligga till grund för varför vissa företag inte redovisar fullständiga upplysningskrav, en av faktorerna som uppges är storleken på goodwillposten. Med dessa studier som bakgrund skulle det vara intressant att undersöka om svenska företag uppnått den spådda förbättringspotentialen sedan IFRS blev tvingande inom EU, samt om storleken på goodwillposten har en inverkan på hur företag redovisar upplysningskraven.Syfte: Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka huruvida svenska företag uppfyller upplysningskraven i IAS 36 punkt 134 i större utsträckning år 2012 än vad de gjorde år 2005, och delsyftet är att undersöka om storlek på företags goodwillpost påverkar i vilken utsträckning de uppfyller upplysningskraven.Metod: Studien är av kvantitativ karaktär och en deduktiv ansats har använts.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera debatten som tog plats på hemsida Newsmill åren 2010och 2012 om intelligent design. Fokusen i själva textanalysen är en argumentationsanalys somtillsammans med kritisk diskursanalys skall utröna och förstå den maktförskjutning som går attfinna inom diskursen. Den kritiska diskursanalysen är byggd på Norman Fairclough. Analysen ärordnad kronologiskt och innefattar tjugotre artiklar allt som allt.Fokus i själva analysen ligger i att utröna och förstå hur debattörerna ställer sig till religion ochvetenskap i deras argumentation kring intelligent design. Här går att finna hur religion ofta förs insom begrepp i relation till personers emotionella agerande och överlag blir religion en belastning fördebattörerna.

The aim of the study was to distinguish if there was a difference between how work is perceived and how unemployed are viewed by people in collectivistic and individualistic cultures. A phenomenological approach was used in order to capture the participants life-worlds and their meaning constitution of a phenomenon, in this case the meaning of work and how unemployed are viewed. Subjects from different parts of the world, belonging to either a collectivistic or individualistic culture, participated in this study. Data was collected by self-reports which were analyzed by the method of MCA (Meaning Constitution Analysis) and the software Minerva. The results indicated that there were differences in how individuals from collectivistic cultures compared to individuals from individualistic cultures reflected about the meaning of work.

This study concerns how Muslims are portrayed in a choice of twelve news articles from Swedish dailies and tabloid newspapers on the aftermath of the film Innocence of Muslims published on YouTube. All articles are distributed in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet in the period of September 11th, 2012 until September 30th, 2012.For this study, a qualitative text analysis has been embraced and focus has been on van Dijk?s Critical discourse analysis to the texts, with additional features from semiotics applied on the images.The theories consist of Critical discourse analysis, hegemony, ideology and power, postcolonialism and stereotyping.In the qualitative content analysis, concrete examples from the articles are retrieved and commented. These have been divided into various themes, which are trends that the authors have been able to distinguish in the analysis.The result shows that Muslims in the analyzed newspapers are portrayed as the others, unimportant and extremely religious, in a negative manner rather than a positive. Moreover the press has tendencies to generalize Muslims as a group.

Attacken den 11 september 2001 mot USA och World Trade Center blev händelsen som startade hela världens krig mot terrorism. I och med detta har flertalet terrornätverk dykt upp och terrorismen har lämnat få människor opåverkade.Detta arbete syftar till att analysera hur attacken på World Trade Center påverkade händelseförloppet i USA och den militära insatsen. Genom att använda John Wardens teori om luftrumskontroll kommer en jämförande studie mellan hur luftstridskrafterna användes under konflikten i Kosovo år 1999 och under den i Afghanistan för att förklara likheter och skillnader.Studien utgår från en kvalitativ dataanalys av rapporter skrivna i direkt närhet till respektive konflikt.Undersökningens resultat visar på ett väl organiserat och standardiserat sätt att utföra luftstrid på. En tydlighet i taktiken där fokus genomgående, i respektive konflikt, läggs på samma sorts mål. Men även tydliga skillnader mellan konflikterna går att särskåda men det påpekas dock att en direkt kausalitet mellan dessa skillnader och attacken är svår att peka ut.Slutligen förs en diskussion kring hur attacken kan ha påverkat den insats som gjordes i Afghanistan genom en jämförelse mellan båda konflikterna.
