Murbruket i mångfaldens mosaik - en fallstudie av framgångsrikt ledarskap i mångfaldsgrupper på Swedbank
Successful diversity management has become an increasingly pressing concern for companies and organisations, as the workforce has grown more diverse over the past few decades. Research on whether increased work group diversity has a generally positive or negative impact on results remains inconclusive. It has, however, been established that good diversity management is pivotal in creating conditions for the successful performance of diverse work groups. Although much attention has been directed towards explaining the translation of work group diversity into positive results, less attention has been given to the processes that underlie this translation and the way it is expressed in everyday leadership behaviour. This thesis revolves around a case study, at the Swedish bank Swedbank, which combines qualitative and quantitative elements to explore the successful leadership in nine diverse work groups at the local branch level.

During the spring semester 2012 Robin Westlund has accomplished ?Controlled interaction for more creative meetings - Summit Flexiwall? with the individual focus on social communication based on visual interaction in future office. The project was a part of the course Degree Project for degree of Bachelor of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering (MSGC12) which includes 22,5 ECTS Credits. The course is a part in the program Innovation and Design Engineering program within the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University.Assigner of the project was Moelven Eurowand AB with their head office in Örebro. The company manufactures and assembles entire room solutions for offices.

This study is intended to study how the social worker in financial assistance relates to the social workers exercise of its authority, regarding the Social Services Act and the Administrative Procedures Act. In concerning how the social worker treats and handles the cases of their clients, but also what significancethe organization's policies and goals have on the social worker?s role and the formation of their professional identity. To answer these questions the study chose a qualitative approach. Because the purpose of this study is to investigate the social worker?s personal beliefs about their way of conducting social work.
När döva och hörande kollegor möts genom tolk : En etnografisk studie om tvåspråkighet på en arbetsplats
Döva personer i Sverige och världen lever nästan uteslutande i ett hörande majoritetssamhälle och har således på ett eller annat sätt en fortlöpande kontakt med hörande människor i såväl privat- som arbetsliv. De flesta döva i arbetslivet arbetar som enda eller som en av få döva på en hörande arbetsplats och ofta anlitas tolk för möten mellan hörande och döva kollegor. Föreliggande uppsats är en etnografisk studie av tolksituationen på en arbetsplats där en döv samt ett tjugotal hörande kollegor arbetar tillsammans. Med hjälp av fältanteckningar, intervjuer och videofilmning har en bild av tolksituationen genererats. I resultaten visas tecken på att den döva deltagaren till stor del lider av informationsbrist på olika plan.
Utvärdering av Falköpings kommuns Informations säkerhet
A student at the Technical University in Jönköping was given an assignment from Falköping municipality. The assignment was to evaluate their IT systems 'users' awareness of information security and even present suggestions for IT-Users to improve their information security within Falköping municipality.Falköping municipality consists today of seven administrations. The target groups for the study of the information security are a pilot group consisting of 30 IT Users and four different managers from various administrations within Falköping Municipality.The purpose of this work is mainly to indicate an understanding of the importance of the information security knowledge among IT Users in Falkopings municipality, mainly those who use their smartphones and tablets for work-related activities.This work aims to answer the following questions:? How wide is the awareness of information security among municipality's IT users?? How can information security improve among the municipality's IT users?Theories that work consists of are mainly what information security is, how it is handled and the threats and risks that may create problems for the municipality, basically when IT Users use their smart phones and tablets.The Work Implementation started with sending surveys to a pilot group of IT- system users and the student even interviewed four general managers working in Falköpings municipality. Both the questionnaires results and interviews results are presented in diagram and text.The result from both surveys and interviews was very positive and it shows that the municipality investigated IT-Users are very aware and have knowledge about information security, when they use their smart phones and tablets.
Empowerment och paternalism på jobbet : En studie kring självbestämmande och delaktighet för brukare i daglig verksamhet enligt LSS
During the latter part of the 20th century the situation for people with intellectual disabilities in Sweden changed and developed. Clients have the right to participation and self-determination in society and in applied measures under the law of individual rights legislation; LSS. The purpose of this study is to describe and understand how team-leaders and managers in day-centres in a municipality works with participation and self-determination for clients, and what the professionals consider affects the client's possibility to self-determination and participation. The research questions intended to be answered are:? How does the team-leaders and managers work to enable self-determination and participation of the users in the public day-centres?? What does the team-leaders and managers describe and understand as enabling and limiting factors for the client?s possibility to self-determination and participation?The study is qualitative and interviews have been held with eight interviewees, which I contacted through snowball sampling.
Implementering av fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid ? en okontrollerad interventionsstudie inom vårdsektorn
Fysisk aktivitet kan ha positiva effekter på hälsa. Arbetsmiljölagen anger att risken för ohälsa ska undanröjas. Mot den bakgrunden skulle fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid kunna vara en legitim arbetsmiljöåtgärd för att förbättra arbetshälsan. Utifrån det förefaller det intressant att undersöka hur fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid kan implementeras så att den genererar positiva resultat. Studien beskriver en modell för implementering av fysisk aktivitet på arbetstid som är baserad på tidigare forskning och genomförbarhet.
En kvalitativ analys av jämställdhetsplaner i offentlig verksamhet : - Vad säger de egentligen?
Bakgrund Människor som utsätts för diskriminering löper större risk för psykisk och fysisk ohälsa. Diskrimineringslagen reglerar diskriminering, där bland annat kön är en av diskrimineringsgrunderna. Ett jämställt samhälle kan medverka till att könsskillnaderna i livstidshälsa minskar, och självrapporterade hälsobesvär är störst i ojämställda länder. Sveriges arbetsmarknad karaktäriseras av könsmässig segregering och det finns samband mellan könssegregering på arbetsplatsen och sjuklighet för båda könen. I Diskrimineringslagen står det också att arbetsplatser med minst 25 anställda måste ha en jämställdhetsplan.Syfte Syftet är att beskriva jämställdhetsplaner på arbetsplatser i offentlig verksamhet med utgångspunkt i Diskrimineringslagen.Metod Jämställdhetsplanerna har analyserats med hjälp av deduktiv kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The problem being examined is the disturbing noise that is created in an open plan office on a company working with a creative process, such as a newspaper or a communications agency. The purpose of this study was to examine the needs for today for a sound absorber in open offices and create and design a design proposal. The aim is also to develop a marketing material the product proposal. The problem has been broken down into the following questions:- How does the user look at the need of a sound absorber in an open offices solution today?- Does an interior designer apply sound absorbers when they furnish the intended environment? - How can a design that meets the needs that exists be achieved and to speak the user?The study is based on three choice of methods a literature review on selected topics that relate to the topic, an interview with an interior designer to explore how an interior designer applies absorbers in open plan office and finally an extensive survey that treats the user's needs and appropriate appearance for the product proposal.The design process has undertaken the following methods, design brief, requirements specification, functional analysis and sketches to produce the final product proposal.
Strategy and change stories at work - Translating ideal official stories into real case stories
When referring to the same event, people can have different assumptions. What is interesting to see is why these assumptions are different, why do people have different stories? Some of the reasons could be different levels of expectation, different communication channels or even different cultural backgrounds. We have analysed all these by having a case study within a company that has recently gone through a change management/strategy implementation process.The research reviewed in this paper originates in two different worlds. One world is a research world where stories come from textbooks and articles.
Parallella världar : Pedagog i en segregerad förort
In my essay, I write about the work at a pre-school in a segregated suburb. I begin my essay with examples from my workday. In one case, it is about Sara, playing games where other children are excluded and she also exhibits a power game towards me. In the second example, it is about how a group of children conspire and expose both themselves and others for destructive conspiracy patterns. When I write down what happens in the group of children at my pre-school, I see patterns reminiscent of destructive gangs.
Att hantera stress under press : En kvalitativ studie om upplevda stressfaktorer och önskade resurser hos handläggare på Försäkringskassan
Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka stressfaktorer som upplevs av handläggare på Försäkringskassan samt vilka resurser de skulle önska för att minska den upplevda stressnivån. De formulerade frågeställningarna lyder; Vad upplevs stressande på arbetsplatsen hos handläggarna, Vilka faktorer påverkar handläggarnas upplevelser samt Vilka resurser skulle de önska för att kunna minska stressen? Studiens empiri bygger på en kvalitativ studie med semistrukturerade intervjuer av sex stycken respondenter. Den teoretiska referensramen består av Krav- & Kontrollmodellen samt Känsla av Sammanhang. Studien utgår från tidigare forskning i området: Försäkringskassan, stress och arbetsplatslärande.Resultatet visar att de faktorer som handläggarna upplever stressande dels är att bli avbrutna i sitt arbete och därmed behöva omstrukturera sina arbetsuppgifter.
Maskinsäkerhetsstandarder och lönsamhet : Profitability of standardisation and safety of machinery
The composing of new standards in the area of machinery safety is a continuous work which aims at writing standards that works as a tool for companies and enables them to control if the fundamental demands of security and health which is prescribed by law are reached. It is optional for the companies to choose if they want to use the standards. This report is written in cooperation with SIS and the study were performed within the technical committee SIS/TK 282. The report aims to investigating if the companies that choose to use standards see any economic advantages due to this work, how these advantages take form and where they originate. The main question formulation is how the profitability among companies that have adjusted their production to machinery safety standards are affected. The study was performed with an initial literature study which aimed at obtaining knowledge and an overview over the subject as well as investigate what former studies had resulted in.
