Hard Decisons, Soft Laws : Exploring the authority and the political impact of soft law in international law

The question of whether there is soft law in international law has been as much the subject of contemporary debate as whether or not there is private legal authority in the international society. The legal boundaries seem to be blurred by the process of globalisation and the recent shift in international law. The traditional definition of international law has been outdated as new forms of treaties has introduced new subject of law to the judicial arena. At the same time a supplementary map of law has been added to the cartography of international law, soft law. These correlating processes have comprehensive political and legal consequences at both the international and national levels.

Projektledaren i fokus : En studie om projektledarskap i en projektgrupp inom en ideell förening

Denna kandidatuppsats behandlar ämnet ledarskap och beskriver hur ledarskapet hos en projektledare i Föreningen X har sett ut. Fokus ligger på projektledaren som den formella ledaren i projektgruppen och hur personen har hanterat sin projektledarroll. Studien ser närmare på projektledarens ledarroll utifrån ett styrande, stödjande och delegerande perspektiv samt de krav som sätts på projektledarollen. Utöver detta behandlas och presenteras den teori som rör krav på ledarskap, situationsanpassat ledarskap, tidsbegränsat ledarskap samt synen på svenskt ledarskap. Vidare presenteras den normativa modellen Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation (FIRO) som förklarar ledarskapet inom olika grupputvecklingsfaser.

En framtid som sjöbefäl : Sjöbefälsstudenters syn på arbetet

The purpose of this study is to highlight the maritime students' views on and visions for their future career. The results will be used by maritime academies, ship owners and unions to develop their activities in the desired direction and work together for a well-functioning labour market in shipping in the future. To determine the students? views and visions, interviews were conducted with graduating students at the maritime academies in Sweden. The results show that the reduced Swedish merchant fleet worries students, but that the majority is positive about finding a job after graduation.

Vi lämnar spår på Internet : Integritet i relation till loggning på UpUnet

This study focuses on the integrity of students at Uppsala University that has used the university?s network, UpUnet. We?ve studied their opinions with the use of questionnaires that cover questions related to privacy and awareness about logging of data traffic.The results showed that more students than our hypothesis suggested were unaware of the surveillance on the network, and the majority of these also had a negative opinion towards logging of data traffic. However, we found that there were several relations between how the students responded on our questionnaire, and we?ve presented these in the analysis chapter towards the end of the essay..

We have conducted this thesis because we consider it to be of relevancedue to limited research on the subject. To fulfill the purpose of this thesis we havefocused on one main issue. That is how companies can shape their recruiting process torecruit people with the same values as the company. Our ambition is to describe thissubject from a recruiting perspective with the values in focus.

Handledarnas och lärarnas roller under bedömningsprocessen vid APU

Ståhlgren, Johanna (2010) Handledarnas och lärarnas roller under bedömningsprocessen vid APU (Instructors and teachers functions during the process of rating at the workplace training) Skolutveckling och ledarskap, 180 hp, Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola. Syftet med den här undersökningen är att jag ska undersöka lärarnas och handledarnas roller under bedömningsprocessen av den arbetsplatsförlagda utbildningen (APU) på Hotell och Restaurangprogrammet vid tre olika gymnasieskolor i Västra Götalands län, samt hur deras kommunikation sker. Jag har valt att göra kvalitativa intervjuer med både handledare ute på arbetsplatser och yrkeslärare på HR-programmet, eftersom jag då kan få så utförliga svar som möjligt och att de får chans att prata öppet om sina upplevelser och erfarenheter. I resultatdelen framkommer det att skolorna arbetar olika vid APU:n och att handledarna får olika underlag ifrån skolorna om hur de ska bedöma eleverna. Men det har skett förändringar och ytterligare förändringar kommer att ske då en bättre samverkan mellan skolorna i Västra Götaland är på gång. Handledarnas och lärarnas syn på kommunikationen vid APU skiljer sig också åt, då handledarna saknar en bättre kommunikation.

The aim of the report is to develop a new design proposal for an existingsenior high school building in Skärholmens Center, Stockholm. Theschoolhouse is a result of the extensive residential project during theperiod between the years 1965-75 in our large cities peripheral and holdsanonymousand "gray face" that has characterized many houses from thesame era. Over the years, the number of students steadily declined andthe reason lies partly in the school's physical environment which cancertainly be regarded as substandard. This despite the fact that it islocated right next to Sweden´s largest trading block. A thorough analysisof the school building and the ambient area has been made incombination with a continuous dialogue with students and staff at theschool.

Journalists and communication managers are becoming more professional and to reach out to its stakeholders in society today, organizations must work strategically with communication, to enter the news. Many make use of press releases to provide journalists with information, hoping to influence what is published on the news. With a background in the medial change that occurs is the purpose of this study to elucidate and problematize which role press releases has for newsrooms and for organizations today and in the future. A qualitative interview study has been used, and communication managers from three organizations and journalists from three newsrooms has been interviewed. The study has been combined with a quantitative pilot study of selected press releases and articles from the selected organizations.

Metadonunderhållsbehandling : en gråzon för kvinnor?

The aim of this thesis has been to investigate women's experience of the Methadone maintenance treatment and what help they believe they need to be able to recover and to improve their social life and whether the medical- and social workers share the similar view.Our method of investigation has been qualitative interviews with four women in the program, two nurses and a counsellor at the methadone clinic and two social workers, who have female clients in the program.The questions at issue were:* how did the women describe their life situation during treatment, compared to the situation they had while they were addicted to narcotics,* did the women experience that the treatment they get in the methadone maintenance program is giving them a better social life situation,* did the employees at the clinic and at the social office share the similar view about the treatments as the female patients?Main problems seemed to be; meeting new non-addictive friends and finding something to do. We could se that, in different ways, they need more support. It wasn't always clear to the people who work with them whose responsibility it was, depending on workplace and/or personality..

Amalie Skram (1846-1905) was born in Norway but lived in Denmark. She published several books about gender relations and built up a reputation as a naturalistic writer. In 1894, a nervous breakdown made her seek help from the famous psychiatrist Knud Pontoppidan. He sent her to an asylum, but she returned home after spending two months in psychiatric care. Background: The stress in the society seems to having become more amplified and more trying. Statistics show that the appearance of stress related industrial diseases have increased strikingly. What can be stressing at the workplace? The work conditions are not the only thing that causes stress but no matter what the causes are employers have to restore the employees to their former positions. How are companies dealing with the problems of stress in reality? Do they have formulated strategies for how to manage the problems? Purpose: The purpose with this essay is to try to see pattern in how companies manage and treat stress and stress related industrial diseases.

Nyexaminerade röntgensjuksköterskors upplevelse av introduktionen på en ny arbetsplats.

Ett bra introduktionsprogram är grundläggande för en lång framgångsrik karriär och gör det lättare för den nyexaminerade att lära sig, då övergången från studier till att börja arbeta som en legitimerad röntgensjuksköterska kan vara en stressig period.Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka nyexaminerade röntgensjuksköterskors upplevelse av introduktionen på en ny arbetsplats. Data samlades in till denna studie genom att intervjua nio röntgensjuksköterskor som tagit examen sommaren 2014. Dessa röntgensjuksköterskor arbetar på röntgenkliniker i mellan- och södra Sverige.All insamlad data analyserades med hjälp av innehållsanalys och det resulterade i tre kategorier: Introduktionsprogrammet, Handledarnas kunskap och egenskaper och Sociala relationers betydelse och påverkan.De nyexaminerade röntgensjuksköterskorna upplevde att introduktionen var tillräcklig och bra. Det fanns vissa delar som var mindre bra, till exempel att de blev räknade som en av den ordinarie personalen medan de hade introduktion. Alla informanter ansåg att det blir bäst ifall de har en specifik handledare i början av introduktionen, då det lätt kan bli förvirrande med flera handledare..

The purpose of this essay is to examine clergywomen?s experience of discrimination within the Swedish church as to clergywomen?s opinions about their work and their work situation and how they handle contingent discrimination. The method used in this essay is qualitative, and in order to create an understanding of the topic we have used semi structured interviews and text analysis. Three clergywomen have been interviewed and in addition to this we have studied four clergywomen's reports to JämO regarding gender discrimination. The analysis is based upon a social constructivist perspective and Hirdman's gender system theory.

The aim of this study was to examine self-harming women?s own experiences. To try and raise understanding and awareness about how they themselves create their identity and meaning round the self-harming behaviour. Our three questions were; how do the young women conceive society?s reactions on their self-harming behaviour? Do the young women express an imposed or self-elected alienation? If so, in what way? In what way do the young self-harming women construe their own identity in relation to the self-harming behaviour?We have used a narrative approach when we have examined the blogs as life stories in the sense that all our lives and everything in them is a story by definition.
