Forskning pekar på att engagerad personal är mer produktiv, positiv och har bättre hälsa än oengagerad. Socialt stöd har i tidigare forskning visat sig ha en buffrande effekt på bland annat stress samtidigt som chefers stöd har visat sig vara en viktig komponent för anställdas hälsa och engagemang. Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka om det finns samband mellan socialt stöd och work engagement. En enkät delades ut till anställda (N=561) på ett revisionsföretag. Ett positivt signifikant samband mellan socialt stöd och work engagement påvisas.

In recent years the elderly care in Sweden has gone through several structural changes with the main purpose of delivering a more efficient service. The aim of this study is to compare the management control system in a privately and a publicly managed elderly home. A qualitative study was conducted which included interviews, observations of meetings and reviews of relevant documents. To be able to identify possible differences the framework of Hood consisting of seven dimensions was used. An analysis of the selected dimensions showed that the differences in management control were minimal and Brunsson's theory of politicization and 'company-ization' were used to explain why..

Bakgrund: Moralisk stress innebär att en individ innehar vetskap om vad för arbetsuppgifter som bör utföras, men handlingen kan inte utföras då hinder uppstår i situationen. Individen upplever en psykologisk obalans och den moraliska stressupplevelsen kan leda till komplikationer för patienter. Biverkningar av moralisk stress är exempelvis frustration, ledsamhet och utbrändhet.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av moralisk stress.Metod: Studien är genomförd som en litteraturstudie och bygger på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Datainsamling har gjorts via databaserna Cinahl, PsycINFO och PubMed. ABSTRACTDuring the last decades, environmental impacts have increased significantly, much due to the great traffic flows within cities. Therefore, to reduce these impacts and encourage a healthy way of living, it has in recent years become vital to generate safer and more sustainable and flexible modes of transportation. In order to do so, authorities and physical planners must work together to find viable solutions to incorporate in the infrastructure and offer alternative transport modes ? such as walking, cycling and public transportation. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the development of the cycling infrastructure in the city of Västerås and whether it is possible to expand bicycle commuting alongside public transportation. The thesis consequently aims to study how different physical planners within Västerås municipality work with traffic related questions.

On some occasions it may be inappropriate with a cameraman behind the camera. In somecases there is no cameraman available or it is a smaller event, like a family celebration, to befilmed. It can also be difficult for a cameraman to shoot from certain angles. One solution forthis kind of situations can be to remotely control the camera movements. In additionto that electric propulsion systems have gotten more popular lately, which further increasesthe demand for high battery capacity. The batteries used are mostly lead-acid batteries and toget the most out of the batteries it is important to treat them right. To optimize the electricsystem it is important to have knowledge of how the batteries and the electric motor are usedand which factors affect e.g. efficiency and recharging.A new electric drive that can replace old diesel engines is being developed and needs testingand evaluation.

Kumulativ stress kan påverka soldater vid en utlandsmission. Denna stress orsakas av små vardagliga händelser och tjänstgöringsrelaterade händelser under en mission. Syftet med denna uppsats är att fåen fördjupad förståelse av hur en stressad gruppchef påverkar sin grupp i en komplex miljö som i den typ av missioner som för närvarande genomförs i Afghanistan. Uppsatsen undersöker hur kumulativ stress har påverkat gruppchefer och deras förmåga att leda gruppen samt hur stressen som gruppchefen utsatts för har påverkat gruppen. Undersökningen baseras på intervjuer av informanter som varit på utlandsmission i Afghanistan och de beskriver sin gruppchef och händelser som skedde under deras tid på mission.

Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s.Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher?s job is that of a lone worker.

Earlier studies of musculoskeletal problems with milkers working in milking parlour operators have shown that it is a physically demanding occupation. The extremities that are most exposed are neck, shoulders, hands and wrists. Those systems that have been studied in present cases are fishbone and some tandem barns. There have been changes in the working environment during the past ten years. The mechanisation has been developed for the better with automatically removers of the milking units and vertically adjustable floors in almost every daily milking barn. In other hand the milk production are more industrialised and more related to stress today.

Stressrelaterad ohälsa är idag vanligt förekommande och forskning kring arbetsrelaterad stress och utmattning är omfattande. Däremot är forskning om medarbetares och chefers upplevelser tämligen begränsad. Det sociala stödet från omgivningen har visat sig vara av stor vikt när den drabbade ska återgå i arbete och chefen har en viktig roll i detta skede. I Studien undersöktes på uppdrag av ett företag vilket stödbehov chefer har i denna process. Tio personer deltog och genom en halvstrukturerad intervju studerades deras upplevelser samt vilket stödbehov som fanns.

This thesis studies private equity firms' implementation of management control systems in their portfolio companies and whether the systems are affected by cross-national differences. A comparative case study examines five different private equity firms to derive if there are any differences between the private equity firms' management control systems in the United States, Europe and China. The empirical observations are categorized according to the framework developed by Merchant (1985) and further developed by Merchant and Van der Stede (2003). Theory on the effect of multinationality on management control systems, also developed by Merchant and Van der Stede (2003), are used to explain possible findings. The applied theory includes the cultural dimensions developed by Hofstede (1984) and Hofstede and Bond (1988).

This essay is about how working with children with autism works with the laws and regulations that fall under the Compulsory School Ordinance and Lgr11 (Compulsory for primary school, preschool classes and kindergarten). The aim of this work was to examine various educators thoughts, experiences and practices related to children with autism in primary school. The study is based on three questions: what kind of rights regarding support do children with autism have in the Swedish primary school, according to the primary regulation and Lgr11? How do the selected primary schools work with the support of children with the diagnosis of autism? And how well does the affected educator?s think that the support works?To answer these questions, four qualitative interviews with various educators, were made. My results show that all four educators believe that inclusive labor of children with autism is a good thing for everyone, as long as it is done properly and with the right order, so that the child with autism gets the opportunity to be part of a social group.

Den ökande stressen är ett stort problem bland sjuksköterskor. Stor arbetsbelastning och höga krav leder till allt fler sjukskrivningar vilket är en negativ utveckling i en yrkesgrupp som är viktig för hela samhället. Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa hur stress påverkar sjuksköterskor fysiskt och psykiskt samt att undersöka i sammanhanget betydelsefulla copingstrategier. Uppstatsen är en litteraturstudie som baseras på tretton vetenskapliga artiklar vilka behandlar ämnena stress, coping, mental och fysisk hälsa bland sjuksköterskor. Resultatet visar att vanliga stressorer bland sjuksköterskor är hög arbetsbelastning, patientnära arbete, administrativa och organisatoriska påfrestningar samt brist på stöd och uppskatting.

Stress hör till vårdpersonalens vardag och talangen att hantera stress är en lämplig egenskap för ett bra vårdarbete. Undersökningens syfte var att beskriva hur utländska läkare upplever stress på arbetsplasten i sammanhang med språkbarriärer, kommunikationssvårigheter och kulturskillnader samt hur dessa svårigheter påverkade deras arbetsförande och privatlivet. Via sju intervjuer granskades läkares tankar, kunskaper och upplevelser och resultatet visade att dålig kommunikation och okunskap från patienter och kollegor hade en negativ påverkan på stressnivån i arbetet. Medan otillräckliga språkkunskaper i svenska uppfattades som ett stort hinder av informanterna. Resultatet visade även att socialt stöd och hjälp från kollegor och ansvariga chefer saknades vilket påverkade informanternas privatliv i form av försämrat självförtroende och minskad energi under ledig tid.
