In order to measure the quality of the logs, one can with help of Fast Fourier Transform technique get the signals resonance peaks. With help of these peaks you can see whether the quality of a tree is good or bad. This report contains the work of a where a program has been developed to be able to process a vibration created by an automatic hammer hitting on a log of wood. From the processed signal the program should be able to show both the raw wavesignal and the processed measured data from the resonance peaks. Beyond the raw wavesignal and resonance peaks the program should also be able to control the automatic hammer.

Studien syftar till att se hur personlighet, söka-arbete self-efficacy och locus of control påverkas av arbetslöshet. Personlighet mäts enligt Costa & MacCraes fem-faktor modell och avser dimensionerna extroversion, neuroticism, öppenhet, trevlighet och samvetsgrannhet. Hypotesen är att det finns skillnad mellan nyarbetslösa och långtidsarbetslösa avseende personlighet, söka arbete self-efficacy och locus of control. Frågeformulär innehållande påstående om ovanstående faktorer besvarades av en grupp nyarbetslösa och en grupp långtidsarbetslösa. Resultatet visar inga signifikanta skillnader avseende personlighet och söka arbete self-efficacy mellan grupperna.

To become old and live in an institution could mean that the habits and routines they have obtained during their lifetime and are used to may become changed. There are fixed norms and rules which the elderly more or less have to adjust to. The aim of this study was to describe how nursing staff attitudes influence on elderly care takers meal situation. The method of this study was a literature review. The result showed that norms and rules not always are adjusted to caretakers? wishes and needs.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka eventuella samband mellan upplevd stress på arbetsplatsen och socialt stöd i privatlivet bland yrkesaktiva sjuksköterskor. Även eventuella samband mellan stress, energi, ålder och socialt stöd på arbetet undersöktes.Datainsamling skedde genom enkätundersökning bland de anställda sjuksköterskorna på två olika avdelningar på ett sjukhus. Enkäten utformades i sin helhet av olika delar från redan existerande frågeformulär och innehöll tre olika delar; stress/energi, socialt stöd på arbetsplatsen och socialt stöd i privatlivet. Totalt bearbetades 48 enkäter.Inget samband mellan socialt stöd i privatlivet och stress kunde påvisas. En positiv korrelation mellan energi och socialt stöd privat, samt en negativ korrelation mellan ålder och stress kunde påvisas.

Stress är ett ökande tillståndvilket bidrar till fler sjukskrivningar inom sjuksköterskeyrket. För att göra organisationer mer medvetna om sjuksköterskors aktuella situation är det av vikt att belysa deras upplevelser av stress på arbetet. Syftet var att beskriva faktorer vilkabidrar till att sjuksköterskor upplever arbetsrelaterad stress. Studien är utförd som en litteraturstudie. Fem rubriker framkomi resultatet vilka var: Stressfaktorer vilka påverkar det patientnära arbetet och patientsäkerheten, stressfaktorer vilka påverkar sjuksköterskors profession och privatliv, stressfaktorer i den kollegiala miljön, fysisk och psykisk påverkan av arbetsrelaterad stress och organisatoriska orsaker till stressfaktorer.

Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s.Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher?s job is that of a lone worker.

Introduktion: Den psykiska ohälsan med stressrelaterade problem bland svenska skolungdomar har stadigt ökat de senaste åren. Flickorna är överrepresenterade. Skolan ses som den primära orsaken till stress där betygssystem, läxor och skolmiljö bidrar. Forskning där ungdomar själva berättar sin upplevelse av stress är bristfällig och behöver uppmärksammas.Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka skolungdomars upplevelser av stress.Metod: Sex 15-åriga skolungdomar, intervjuades och texten transkriberades för att därefter analyseras enligt kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Dataanalysen resulterade i fem kategorier. Den första kategorin var?Att känna symtom på stress? där ungdomarna beskriver hur stress känns i kroppen.

The habits of living are seen as important factors for public health, and are related to the primary socialization. Exercise and food habits are two main factors for development of health or ill health and are both related to the overweight epidemic. The overweight increase among children and youth has been given particular attention. The aim of this study is to examine how 15 year olds Body Mass Index, food- and exercise habits are connected to each other and also how they are related to socialization. The study is a cross sectional survey among 208 pupils in ninth grade, Kristianstad.

To be able to give optimal care to patients in small animal hospitals, we have to have knowledge about how to prevent the spread of infection. An important part in this is hand hygiene routines. We have to clean hands whenever they are visibly dirty, and disinfect them regularly in between. Another important part is the cleaning and disinfection of the environment in the clinic, and also the cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments. Other important parts are isolation of patients with known infections, to wear clothes with short sleeves and to wash them at least once daily, to wear gloves, having short nails and not wearing jewelry when working.

Undersökningen handlade om stress, coping och utbrändhet bland anställda inom den kommunala hemtjänsten. Syftet med undersökningen var dels att undersöka sambanden mellan upplevd stress och tre dimensioner av utbrändhet (emotionell utmattning, cynism och prestationsförmåga), dels att undersöka vilka copingstrategier som är associerade med dessa utbrändhetsdimensioner. Ytterliggare ett syfte var att undersöka om de anställda kunde karaktä-riseras som utbrända. Ett frågeformulär distribuerades till 100 anställda inom den kommunala hemtjänsten i Malmö svarsfrekvensen var 41 %. Stress mättes med Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), coping har mättes med Brief COPE och utbrändhet mättes med Maslachs Burnout Inventory (MBI).

This thesis has been carried out at the Department of Urban and Rural Development at SLU Ultuna during the spring semester 2009. The topic of the paper is how energy consumption can be influenced through design and if the conditions for good design decreases when solutions based on energy efficiency are used. The report is divided into one literature study and one part where energy efficient solutions are used in a design. The thesis work has its origin in a project called "Energihus i Uppsala." The planned building will be a center for energy research in Uppsala. The project aims to demonstrate to the public what is currently happening in research related to energy.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Moralisk stress uppstår när sjuksköterskor vet det rätta att göra, men institutionella begränsningar gör det nästintill omöjligt att fullfölja. Kunskap om moralisk stress, när den uppkommer och vad den gör med en människa och professionell yrkesutövare är viktigt, dels för att kunna hitta strategier för att hantera den men även att förebygga den då den kan vara kopplad till risk för ohälsa.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av moralisk stress. Följande frågeställningar ligger till grund för studien; I vilka situationer upplever sjuksköterskor moralisk stress? Vilka konsekvenser får den moraliska stressen för sjuksköterskor?Metod: Examensarbetet är en litteraturöversikt med systematisk sökning.Dataanalysen är inspirerad av Hsieh & Shannons (2005) riktade innehållsanalys. Två förutbestämda kategorier har använts för att plocka ut resultatet som svarade mot syftet.Resultat: Resultatet presenteras i två förutbestämda kategorierna 1.

Studien utfördes genom en integrerad litteraturöversikt vilket gjorde det möjligt att använda olika metodologiska ansatser.
