Evidensbaserad logopedisk intervention vid strokeorsakad afasi hos vuxna : En verksamhetsknuten litteraturstudie
Background: The speech- and language deficit aphasia affects 12 000 persons annually in Sweden. Aphasia is caused by injury in the brain and the most common etiology is stroke. According to the tool for describing and assessing aphasia, A-FROM (Kagan et al., 2008), the four following aspects of aphasia need to be considered: severity of aphasia, participation in life situations, communication and language environment and personal factors. Several different interventions and treatments can be performed in every domain. There is scientific evidence for interventions performed by speech and language pathologists; however, the question is yet being discussed since results are unambiguous.Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to investigate which aphasia interventions performed by speech and language pathologists that are supported by evidence.
ModersmÄlslÀrarnas roll i dagens svenska skola : En studie av sex Stockholmsbaserade modermÄlslÀrares arbetssÀttt, resuser och roll i dagens svenska skola
The fact that Sweden has changed from a homogeneous to a heterogeneous culture with multiculturalism as key word requires an intercultural approach in the community and school. The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers of maternal languages experience their teaching in school and what resources they have available from their employer and the municipality. What methods do the teachers in maternal languages use in their teaching at school and what resources do they have to their disposal? How do teachers in maternal languages use the perspective of intercultural education in their teaching and how do the teachers look on their future role in the Swedish school. To achieve this I have chosen the method to make depth interviews with 6 teachers of maternal languages and compare and relate the result to the theories about interculturality and the circle model, to official curricula and to existing literature in this subject.Teachers of maternal languages are very spread out, they work in several schools and sometimes even in different municipalities, during the same week.

The Simple View of Reading
The simple view of reading is a theory in which reading is divided into decoding and linguistic comprehension. The theory has been used to explain and to subgroup reading disabilities. Research has also investigated if additional factors are of relevance to reading. In the present study, decoding was divided into the factors orthographic decoding and phonological decoding, while comprehension was divided into word comprehension and grammatical comprehension. The purpose was to analyze these factors and their contribution to reading ability in children in fourth grade: one group with reading difficulties (n=36) and one group with typical reading ability (n=36).
Stadsmöbler för ungdomar :
The title Urban furniture for young people reveals that this
paper handles two central phenomenon in landscape architecture;
the form and content of the urban spaces, respectively
the users and their need for an appropriate outdoor
environment in the city. In this paper youth is referred to as
15-18 year olds and the paper is based on theories of their
physical use of the city?s outdoor environment. Urban furniture
refers to equipment and components in the public room
which becomes furniture when people takes them in to claim
and gives them a meaning and a function that is useful for
the moment. The starting point is that the users, in this case
youths, defi nes urban furniture as something signifi cantly
more than traditional park furniture, bicycle racks and waste
baskets.
This paper aims to investigate how the city?s furniture can be
developed to meet the youths need to see each other, move
and make their marks in the public room.
The theories about how youths uses the city are presented
in the Theory chapter.
Det första uppdraget : om studenten som företagare
This is a 20 points graduation thesis, performed at the Department of
Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural
Sciences in Uppsala. The main aim of this thesis is to examine what it is
like to combine studying with working and starting your own company.
Furthermore, I want to be able to convey this knowledge to others. An
important part of being a landscape architect is informing people, and
making rather abstract issues tangible.
The word 'entrepreneur' is originally French. Today, we think of
entrepreneurs, or contractors, as energetic people, who dare to try new
ideas. There are many reasons why people start their own company, but
the most common ones are the wish to fulfil oneself and to be able to
plan one's own time.
Same same - but different? - A Comparative Four Case-study of Differences in Modern American Presidents' Personality, Leadership Style and Political Skills, Concerning Management during Crisis
The word crisis is often used in everyday language, but according to political theory it actually refers to a crisis situation within a country where national interests suddenly are at stake demanding that important and complex decisions must be made within certain time constraints. These decisions can in turn lead up to most fatal consequences. USA, being one of the world's superpowers is most certainly involved in crisis situations directly or indirectly, frequently or more seldom. Amounts of people get suddenly involved and even more people can be drawn in by the decisions that are made thereby. Research has shown that the character of a leader affects decision-making.
Gymnasieelevers digitala (o)kompetens inom ordbehandling

This MA thesis analyzes how the protagonists and the narrative structure relates to ?the Child? as a linguistic/cultural construction in Mare Kandre?s early authorship (1984-1991). A thematic of children portraits defines this period of Kandre?s writing, which consits of the following works: In a Different Country (1984), The Annunciation (1986), BĂŒbin?s Kid (1987), The Burning Tree (1988) and Aliide, Aliide (1991).Linguistic components, such as the word ?child?, the name ?Kid? and a reconstruction of the concept of childhood, holds an actuate position in these narratives when they first appear in direct relation to the protagonists. This suggests how generally accepted categories and concepts consciously are at work in Kandre?s writings.
