As the cities are becoming more crowded, the urban distribution has become a major logistical challenge. Some commonproblems in the inner cities arelimited accessibility and idling. Many of Sweden's municipalities are above the limit values for PM10limit set by the EU.Sundsvall is one of these municipalities and has the vision to create a sustainable city and region. Sundsvall LogistikparkAB is part of an EU project, SMARTSET, which is collaborationbetween several cities in Europe. SMARTSETSundsvall is about to develop a market-based sustainable model for city logistics.

Uppdragstaktik ? En studie i tillämpningen av uppdragstaktik vid artilleribataljonen 2008  Framtidens artilleribataljon är under utveckling vid Artilleriregementet, därav har jag valt att bidraga till denna process inom området ledning. Detta har utförts genom att undersöka hur uppdragstaktiken skall och har nyttjats vid bataljonen 2008. Syftet med uppsatsen är att bidra till utvecklingen av ledningsmetoder och ledningsprocesser vid artilleribataljonen. De frågeställningar som har använts för att uppnå syftet med uppsatsen är:Tillämpas teorierna om uppdragstaktik i reglemente och metodhandbok för artilleribataljon?Har uppdragstaktik tillämpats praktiskt vid ledningsprocessen av artilleriregementets insatsbataljon 2008?Vad har påverkat nyttjandet av uppdragstaktik praktiskt vid ledningsprocessen av artilleriregementets insatsbataljon 2008?   Jag har nyttjat metoden deskription och litteraturstudier för att svara på första frågeställning.

 AbstractThe background for this study is that there were a great amount of buildings constructed in Sweden in the years 1965-1975 in a program designed to create one million apartments in a time-period of ten years. These buildings are now, somewhat forty years later in most cases in very poor condition and the need for renovation is great and urgent. This has become a growing problem and more and more voices are being heard pointing towards the vast and extremely expensive task of renovating these buildings. Lately, it has also been more and more important for buildings to be energy-efficient and sustainable environment friendly.In recent years there has been an atempt to solve these problems by renovating such buildings but at the same time making them very energy-efficient. This is in some cases being done by isolating the shell of the building and changing the ventilation-system and so forth.

Det finns idag få system som ger en god överblick av en restaurangs bokningar och bordsplaceringar. Oftast används papper och penna som ställer till med problem när kunder avbokar, ändrar deras bokning eller helt enkelt inte kommer till restaurangen. Det är även svårt att avgöra huruvida restaurangen är fullbokad eller ej.Denna rapport behandlar utvecklingen av ett webbaserat bordsbokningssystem för restauranger på uppdrag av en restaurangägare i Jönköping. Systemet ska ge en grafisk överblick av en restaurangs bokningar och hur alla bord ska stå placerade under en kväll. Då systemet webbapplikationen ska ha flera användare, som använder olika enheter, krävs det att systemet ska vara plattformsoberoende.Med hjälp av HTML5 undersöks det huruvida det går att göra detta system offlinekompatibelt, då uppdragsgivaren önskar att systemet är åtkomligt då Internetuppkopplingen försvinner.

Den  ökande  risken  för  att  drabbas  av  dataintrång  ställer  allt  högre  krav  på datoranvändarens medvetenhet om de risker  och hot  som idag föreligger  i nätverk och  på  Internet.  En  väldigt  stor  del  av  datoranvändare  installerar  inte  alltid  de senaste  uppdateringarna  då  de  tillgängliggörs  och  detta  medför  att  systemen  som saknar dessa viktiga uppdateringar blir extra sårbara för hot från angripare.Tekniska  sårbarhetsanalyser  kan  vara  hjälpsamma  för  att  på  ett  smidigt  sätt uppskatta  potentiella  risker  och sårbarheter  i  ett  befintligt  informationssystem. En stor  fördel  med  många  av  dagens  sårbarhetsverktyg  är  att  de  till  stor  del  är automatiserade  och  således  inte  kräver  allt  för  djupa  kunskaper  för  att  använda, samt att de är relativt enkla att implementera.I  den  här  rapporten  har  säkerheten  i  Windows  7  och  tre  populära  programvarorundersökts.  De  tre  programvarorna  som  låg  till  grund  för  undersökningen  varOracle  Java,   Adobe  Flash  och  Adobe  Reader.  För  att  utvärdera  säkerheten  har  vi genomfört  sårbarhetsanalyser  i  syfte  att  kontrollera  hur  systemets  säkerhet påverkas,  dels  vid  installation  av  nya  programvaror,  men  även  i  systemets  skede före-  och  efter  viktiga  säkerhetsuppdateringar  .   Enklare  penetrationstester  har även genomförts  för att påvisa några av de identifierade sårbarheterna och hur de kan utnyttjas för att få full åtkomst till kritiska delar av systemet.Resultaten  i  rapporten  visar  att  det  är  väldigt  viktigt  att  datoranvändare kontinuerligt uppdaterar sina installerade programvaror och sitt operativsystem för att minska riskerna för dataintrång..

The purpose of this paper is to investigate in which aspects the public library is affected by its local community. This is re-searched by means of an exemplified case study of a Swedish public library in which we analyze governing documents and the library website with respect to environmental scanning and mar-keting of library services.The research questions are: How are the local community?s demands on the public li-brary being described in the governing document? How is the public library?s response to the demands of the local community being described in the operational plan? How are the demands of the local community, as shown in the governing document and the operational plan, re-flected in the marketing of library services on the library website?Our conclusions are that:The demands of the local community are described in a general fashion in the governing document, but there is a lack of concrete political guidelines.The public library's response to the demands of the local commu-nity is described to some length in the operational plan, but not with respect to economical factors.The demands of the local community are reflected to some length in the marketing of library services on the library website. Many of the overall themes that we identify in the governing document and the operational plan can be found in the marketing directed towards important target groups..

The purpose of this report was to increase knowledge regarding the co-operation between social services from the perspective of employees at a school. The focus was on the question: ?In the schools view, what is the relevance of co-operating with social services?? The problem was divided into three categories; the value of the co-operation, the schools discourse on co-operation and the balance of power in the co-operation. The scientific topic was addressed using a qualitative survey method at a school. Four people were interview; the principal, the welfare officer, and two teachers.

ABSTRACT Poverty, and in particular child poverty, is a serious social problem. Statistics show that the number of children living in poverty has increased over the last ten years. Earlier research shows that there are huge gaps in our knowledge of how the actors in civil society handle child poverty. With this study we hope to help fill this gap. The aim of our study is to look at how four different organisations working in the civil society in Uppsala perceive and handle child poverty.

AbstractIn Sweden all persons under the age of 18 are considered children. The age when it is possible to be held responsible for a criminal act, and therefor convicted in court, is 15. Society?s and, perhaps first and foremost, the authority?s attitude towards juvenile crime is that they should not be equal adults in the process within criminal law. Because children are considered essential for the society of tomorrow, it is important to pay extra attention to crimes committed by juveniles.

The purpose of the present qualitative study is to create knowledge about librarydigital services and their marketing to patrons with disabilities in Armenia, on theexample of the National Library of Armenia, as well as, to discover opinions of theNLA librarians and patrons with disabilities about the importance of library digitalservices to people with disabilities. Literature review and qualitative interviewing has been employed as methods to collect the empirical data. The results have been analyzed and discussed based on the library-marketing model of marketing research, marketing segmentation, marketing mix strategy and marketing evaluation suggested by Koontz & Gubbin (2010). It has been concluded, that 1) e-accessibility issomething new at the NLA and the NLA does not provide equally available knowledge, resources, services, facilities to patrons with disabilities, because of the following main challenges: lack of continuous funding and support from the state, lack of appropriate facilities and technologies, lack of qualified staff, and historicallyinherited library infrastructure impediments; 2) no library service marketing is conducted to patrons with disabilities at the NLA; 3) the opinions are that provisionwith such services is very important to people with disabilities, since they allow those people to gain access and use information in formats adopted to their various needs, and, of course, they become integrated into the modern society. The important role of a library as a non-discriminator and copyright protector in a developing country when delivering digital library services to patrons with disabilities has also been discovered..

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine how the Swedish policy of neutrality has changed between the years 1990-2008. The research method used for this essay has been comparative case study, which strives to answer four research questions. Two of these questions are: Which specific occurrences have been fundamental in changing the Swedish policy of neutrality? How have the Swedish policy of neutrality and the policy of non-alignment changed between the years 1990-2008? The theoretical frame work of this study consists of Europeanization as a comprehensive theoretical perspective. In order to explain the Swedish act regarding the policy of neutrality, Logic of Consequences and Logic of appropriateness are used.

Abstract In order to make the modern agriculture less dependent on non-renewable external inputs, it has to rely more on ecosystem services. The agricultural system produce not only food, fiber and fuel, it also generates other ecosystem services such as e.g. photosynthesis, recycling of nutrients, influencing local microclimate, pollination, biological control and detoxification of noxious chemicals. This study is an attempt to get a better understanding about the interaction among different ecosystem services and different habitats capacity to generate them. An evaluation of eight different methods is done. The ecosystem services studied are the ability to absorb solar energy, biomass production, botanical diversity, decomposition and natural predation of aphids.

Westermo Teleindustri tillverkar och säljer telefonmodem för industritillämpningar och ska erbjuda ett konfigureringsverktyg till dessa. Verktyget ska konfigurera Westermos modem med Hayes AT-kommandon genom ett PC program som ska vara enkelt att använda så att deras supportavdelning blir avlastad från en del konfigureringssupport. Min uppgift i detta examensarbete var att ta fram en kravspecifikation och implementera en lösning utifrån denna. Kravspecifikation togs fram genom att skicka ut förfrågningar om önskemål till dotterbolag, distributörer och andra som har nära kontakt med slutkunderna. I kravspecifikationen beskrivs vilken funktionalitet programvaran skall innehålla.

The aim with this study is to analyze how Swedish social services interpret men's and women's needs and whether it is possible to discern any pattern in the social services investigations. The following questions are of importance: how men and women are described in the assistance investigations and if there are any differences between men and women in assistance investigations. The analysis is based on a qualitative text analysis of twenty assistance investigations. The investigations have been studied gradually and interesting patterns emerged which were analyzed by the theory of gender.The results are multifaceted and demonstrate on the one hand that men and women receive the help they apply for and the assessment of their needs is conducted in an equitable way. On the other hand, the study demonstrates that there is a difference in how men and women are described in the investigations..
