TV and radio services have always been distributed over analogue broadcasting networks and been received on a TV -set or a radio receiver. Today this situation is changing due to digitalization and convergence between broadcasting, telecommunications and data communications. Other terminals, such as a PC, can also receive TV and radio services. Digital TV and radio can offer additional services such as e-commerce, electronic program guides and content synchronized to the TV and radio shows. If these services are to be received by several receiving terminals with different properties, the services must be adapted to the terminals.

Therefore, it is important for entrepreneurs to know when they risk a permanent establishment in another country due to their Internet based activity. Denna rapport behandlar en undersökning av olika lastbalanseringsalgoritmer i Linux Virtual Server. Undersökningen har gjorts i ett webbkluster (Apache var webbservern som användes) med tre heterogena noder, där operativsystemet var den detalj som skiljde dem åt. Operativsystemen som ingick i undersökningen var Windows Server 2008 R2, CentOS 6.2 och FreeBSD 9.0. De faktorer som undersöktes mellan de olika algoritmerna var klustrets genomsnittliga svarstid vid olika belastning och hur många anslutningar som kunde hanteras av klustret, detta gjordes med verktyget httperf.Undersökningen ger svar på hur ett heterogent webbklusters genomsnittligasvarstid och arbetskapacitet kan skilja sig åt beroende på vilken algoritm som används för lastbalansering. Resultatet visar att den genomsnittliga svarstiden håller sig låg tills en hastig stigning inträffar.

An increasing number of applications are becoming more or less network based today.The traditional architecture for network based applications is client-server, but as usageof download services are going up, so is the Peer-to-Peer architecture. This report is acomparison between the Peer-to-Peer and client-server model, and can serve as a basiswhen a decision between them needs to be taken. In the report, the performancebetween the different architectures is compared in different contexts. Our basis is ageneral implementation of both architectures in a test that is derived from a previousreport. On top of this, the performance of the different architectures are measured,implemented in a gaming-context.

Microsoft har utvecklat ett verktyg för informationsdelning och samarbete, detta mjukvarupaket är känt under namnet SharePoint teknologin. Vi har i detta examensarbete extraherat delarna av SharePoint teknologin. Vi fann, att paketet innefattar två huvudsakliga mjukvaruapplikationer som namnges SharePoint Services och SharePoint Portal Server 2003; vidare fann vi att SharePoint Service kan användas på egen hand, och att SharePoint Portal Server 2003 bara är en extension. I vår uppsats undersökte vi miljön som krävs för att åstadkomma en framgångsrik installation. Vi beskriver de olika systemarkitekturerna som paketet kan arbeta på och vilka andra mjukvaror som är nödvändiga för att använda SharePoint teknologin fullt ut.

This thesis has been performed at consulting firm Sweco Position in Jönköping. The thesis is divided into two main sections: theoretical and practical. The theoretical section contains an investigation into the possibilities of implementing a geographical information system (GIS) for administrations of wells with the integration of Bing Maps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. Svenskt Rockarkiv is an organization located in Hultsfred, Sweden. Its goal is to collect and document the history of Swedish rock music. The archive contains several types of documentation, such as audio recordings, photographs, posters, video recordings and books representing Swedish rock music history. In order to store information about the audio recordings in the archive, Svenskt Rockarkiv uses a SQL Server 2000 database and a client application written in Microsoft.NET C# and Windows Forms. The purpose of this degree project is to audit the database and windows client, since the organization has needs of new functionality.

The objective of this study was to examine three common mobile phoneplatforms in relation to their network traffic features. The platforms to beexamined are Android, iOS 5 and Windows Phone. After the investigation wascompleted a prototype application was implemented in order to demonstratethese features in the most suitable platform. Syftet med examensarbetet var att utvärdera Reporting Services för att se vad verktyget har att erbjuda i förhållande till rapporteringsverktyg från andra tillverkare. En jämförelse mellan Reporting Services och rapporteringsverktyg från tre andra betydande tillverkare har gjorts. En djupare utvärdering av Reporting Services, där arkitektur, funktionalitet och andra egenskaper gåtts igenom grundligt, har också genomförts.
