AstraZeneca in Mölndal (AZRDM) uses beagles bred at Rååhöjdens kennel in Örkelljunga for their research purposes. The staff wishes to have mentally stable dogs to work with, sine stress can effect the research results. The purpose of this study was to put together the testresults from dogs delivered 2003 and 2004, to see if there is a connection between delivery age and testresult. We have also worked out a method to test if early planned handling of the dogs makes a difference on how the dogs later respond in a testsituation, and tried this method in a pilotstudy. The data that we have based our calculations on is 172 dogs, divided into 108 males and 64 females. We found a significant connection between the age at delivery and the testresult in contactability for female dogs delivered in 2003, where increasing age led to decreasing grades in the test at AZRDM. When looking at the difference in testresults between test number two at the kennel and the test at AZRDM we found a significant connection for female dogs delivered during 2003, ie the difference takes on a more negative value with increasing age at delivery. We found a difference between the two sexes in our calculations.

I denna uppsats har vi tagit fram teorier om för- och nackdelar med tunna och tjocka klienter och gjort en fallstudie vid Luleå tekniska universitet på en avdelning som nyligen bytt från tjocka till tunna klienter. Utifrån de teorier vi läst och den empiri vi utfört drog vi slutsatsen att tunna klienter oftast passar bättre i arkitekturen än tjocka klienter..

Munvården är ofta ett eftersatt område inom vården och omsorgen vilket återspeglar sig på munhälsan hos de boende. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om behovet av nödvändig tandvård har förändrats i Ludvika kommun under åren 2003-2008, samt att studera om de vårdtagare som var i behov av nödvändig tandvård fick densamma. Metoden var en beskrivande, retrospektiv journalstudie. Studien baseras på 2010 st screeningjournaler från år 2003 - 2008. Dessa screeningjournaler plus listor på vilka som fått nödvändig tandvård under de här åren har studerats och analyserats.

This piece of work develops a solution that automates protection against software keystroke loggers. Keystroke loggers can be used illegally to register a user's keystrokes and in that way acquire sensitive information. The solution was tested on two different networks and the efficiency was measured. The network represents an enterprise network that uses the operating system Windows along with the directory service Active Directory. A script was developed to solve the automation matter.

This project is about color and light and how it affects the atmosphere in the city. I choseto look closer into the central parts of the city, a place where I often feel a lack of lightand color, especially during the winter season. In the beginning of the project I made ananalysis of how intense colors are used in the city and how we can use color as a tool tocreate effectful spaces. Further into the project I chose to look closer into the effects thatare made by the facades, how the light from the windows affects the room outside when the dark falls. At the end of the project I caught a feeling inspired by the city and applied it into an installation of light..

Italy is the third largest market in Europe with a population of almost 58 million. The country is the tenth most important market for Swedish sales. Italy has a fairly good economy at the moment and the forecast tells of an increasing strength during coming years. Despite all of this, Sweden is exporting a fairly small amount of wood to Italy. Only around 2,3 % of all Sweden?s wood export goes to Italy.

The aim of the study is to examine ideas surrounding copyright law and related rights appearing in the referral statements that the participants of the library sphere gave to the department writ Ds 2003:35. These ideas reflect the positions the library sphere take regarding issues surrounding the copyright law and related rights. The department writ was preceded by a directive from the European Union; Directive 2001/29/EC of the European parliament and of the council of 22 may 2001 on the harmonization of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society. The writ Ds 2003:35 was later followed by a proposition from the government which was co-herent with the preceding writ. The empirical material has been analyzed with a starting point in the polarizations, artist/audience, private/public and original/copy, presented in PhD Martin Fredriksson?s book Skapandets rätt.

Klimatförändringar och miljöproblem är i dag betydelsefulla frågor på den politiskadagordningen. Hur medierna rapporterar i ämnet kan på olika sätt påverka människorskunskap och åsikter i frågan. I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida fyra av Sveriges största tidningar ger en bild avatt klimatproblemen går att förbättra eller ej, samt vilka aktörer som görs ansvariga för problemen och lösning av dem. De tidningar som undersöks är Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet och Expressen. För att möjliggöra en jämförelse av ovanstående frågor över tid har artiklar från både 2003 och 2013 undersökts.

Our project is divided into two parts, one production and written report. The main focus was the production part, were we used PHP to create simple solution for handling SMS and MMS with direct communication with the mobile operator server. We communicate with sockets and can handle CIMD2 and MM7 protocol. To get our components easy to use we have created two classes to handle SMS and MMS. To demonstrate our technical platform we created a website were you can create an account.

Att snabbt och effektivt kunna dela filer mellan system både genom WAN och LAN är något som många företag idag är beroende av. Till detta så kan fildelningsprotokoll användas, två vanliga fildelningsprotokoll är SMB/CIFS och NFS.I detta arbete så utvärderas de nyaste versionerna av protokollen i en experimentmiljö. Prestandajämförelser sker mellan två olika operativsystem och versioner av protokollen. Syftet är att besvara frågan om vilket protokoll som är mest effektivt i WAN-miljöer där olika operativsystem används. Resultatet visar att SMB är det protokoll med bäst stöd i både Linux och Windows.

Huvudsyftet med detta examensarbete är att för vår uppdragsgivare ÅF:s räkning, analysera huruvida det är möjligt att, rent tidsmässigt, hämta lagrad information från en av företagets kunders databaser online samt presentera detta grafiskt, som statistisk information. Hänsyn måste tas till server- och nätverksbelastning. Vid analysen optimerade vi SQL-frågor, vilket resulterade i en minskning av den totala exekveringstiden på serversidan med 24 sekunder.Den databasoberoende applikationen QlikView med sina inbyggda funktioner visade sig vara ett mycket användbart rapporteringsverktyg. Genom att utveckla ett grafiskt gränssnitt, tydliggjorde vi olika fråge- och svarsalternativ, vilka fungerar som underlag för sammanställning av produktionsdata..

Understensho?jden is Stockholm's largest eco-village which was built in the early 1990s with the vision of enabling ecological living for people. However the ecovillage is no longer considered as environmentally friendly because of its relatively high energy consumption, and non-updated energy system. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate how Understensho?jden should reduce their energy consumption and upgrade its energy system by using Blower-Door, IR-camera and Design Builder.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the democratization process in Kurdistan on the basis of consolidation democracy with focus on arenas defined by Linz and Stepan (1997), namely economic, political, legal, civil society and arenas of state bureaucracy. Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

En viktig aspekt vid e-handel är att kunden känner förtroende för e-handelsapplikationen och företaget. Denna rapport redogör för vilken inverkan multimediala inslag har för förtroendet av en e-handelsapplikation, vid initialt användande. En undersökning har genomförts med hjälp av en kooperativ utvärdering av fyra e-handelsapplikationer vilka innehåller olika typer av multimediala inslag har.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att multimediala inslag inverkar positivt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer. Däremot finns indikationer på att för hög grad av multimedialt inslag inverkar negativt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer..

A B-level essay, written some years ago, showed that the SVT policies were not always observed throughout the entire organisation. The aim of this essay is, by using quantitative research, to study whether SVT is letting commercial interests have their say in the programmes by exposing brand names and logotypes.Material/method: The study is performed through examining 40 hours of television from SVT and 40 hours from TV4, as reference.
