Studies have shown that politicians are significantly more likely to become victims of violent crime than other citizens in Sweden. In fact increasing political rank and engagement are directly proportionate to increased risk for violence. Threat towards politicians is not only dangerous to the individuals involved but also to the democratic system as a whole.Political scientists the world over have done a lot of research on democracy, but I have been unable to find a single method or theory that examines how violence, threat and harassment affect political leaders and democratic systems.The aim of this study is to expand the existing model made by Tommy Möller, professor in political science. In his model he presents 11 factors that affect political leaders ability to act. My aim is to develop his model by adding a 12 th factor ?violence, threat and harassment?.

Finanskrisens inträde i mitten av 2008 utsattes Sveriges ekonomi för kraftiga påfrestningar. BNP-tillväxten mattades av och vi har till och med sett en negativ tillväxt för första gången sedan krisen i 90-talets början. Samtidigt har både hushållens konsumtion och näringslivets produktion rasat vilket har bidragit till kännbara effekter och en osäker tid för båda parter. Till en följd av detta har många företag tvingats avveckla sin verksamhet helt medan andra fått se över sina kostnader. Detta har i sin tur bidragit till att arbetslösheten ökat med cirka tre procentenheter mellan 2008 och 2010.

AbstractAs human beings, we are all governed by our innate instinct that to kill another human being, or to just inflict pain on another, is to go against what makes us human. Still, it happens every day, far and near. Some of these killings happens in war-like situations, where atrocities against humanity occur. The international community has since the founding of UN in 1945, a duty to intervene where crimes against the human rights occur. This is a difficult task, because, in order to intervene and help those in need, the situation might postulate states violating states sovereignty.

Och ta reda på vad som kännetecknade det musikaliska i musikgenren. Frågorna som ställs i uppsatsen är: Vad var det i det musikaliska som kännetecknade musikgenren? Och vilka musikaliska likheter och skillnader hade den tidiga brittiska punken och den tidiga Svenska punken?För att få svar på dessa frågor så har fyra stycken musikaliska verk analyserats: Sex Pistols ?Anarchy in the UK?, The Clash ?White riot?, Ebba Grön ?Ung & sänkt? och P.F.

This study examines how a couple of Swedish daily newspapers construct the hacker network Anonymous, with an aim to discuss its possible effects. The question was: In which ways is the network Anonymous constructed in a few Swedish newspapers?                      26 articles from four chosen newspaper were analysed, but because of many similarities in content, only 10 were chosen for deep analysis. With Fairclough's model of critical discourse analysis as chosen method, constructions varying from the images of heroes to villains were found as a result. The most common construction was that of Anonymous as a threat, which was most often exaggerated compared to what actions were actually described in the texts.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and question the government survey 1956:43 Zigenarfrågan based on the theory of internal colonialism. An important question for the study is to elucidate and gain an understanding of the factors that led to Roma inclusion in the compulsory school. This survey of the goverment investigation is necessary because the state management of the Roma had to start the investigation, that led to a number of difficulties for the community. The investigation put also a lot of demands on the roma society. The state wanted at all means to influence and change the group's way of life.

De flesta stora företag använder idag ett affärssystem, för att exempelvis integrera olikafunktioner i verksamheten och automatisera affärsprocesser, vilket har bidragit till attmånga leverantörer har ökat försäljningsfokus mot mindre företag. Små företag inserockså behovet av affärssystem (Iskanius et al., 2009) och statistik visar även attanvändandet ökar i mindre företag (SCB, 2013). Små företag kan inte ses som mindreversioner av stora företag (Malhotra och Temponi, 2010; Welsh och White, 1981), dådessa skiljer sig i exempelvis striktare resursbegränsningar, vilket innebär attaffärssystemsprojekt också skiljer sig från de i stora företag. Av denna anledning är detviktigt för leverantörer att förstå vad som påverkar små företag underinförskaffningsprocessen av ett affärssystem. Denna rapport syftar till att, för småsvenska företag, identifiera faktorer som är avgörande för valet att införskaffa ettaffärssystem och undersöka hur dessa påverkar viktiga faktorer senare i processen.Utifrån en litteraturstudie och en inledande empirisk datainsamling ställdes en teori uppi form av hypoteser om hur avgörande faktorer i införskaffandeprocessens initieringsfaspåverkar viktiga faktorer under anskaffnings- och implementeringsfasen.

Stereotyper är starkt förenklade, känslomässigt laddade mentala representationer om personer som tillhör en viss grupp, som i sin tur kan generera fördomar. Studien undersökte huruvida svenskar och invandrare bedöms olika vid samma brottstyp. Det predicerades att invandrare skulle bedömas mer negativt, bedömas vara mer sannolika att återfalla i brott, samt rekommenderas längre straff än svenskar. Dessutom skulle män bedöma gärningsmännen mer positivt. 85 deltagare bedömde en av fyra varianter av en brottsbeskrivning där förövarens etnicitet samt brottstyp manipulerades.

It has been argued that the ?War on Drugs? has done more harm than good and in some American states and a number of European countries the drug have been legalized or decriminalized. Everybody does not agree however, that legalization is the best course of action and in Sweden the emotions have sometimes run high in the discussions taking place in television shows and newspapers.The purpose of this study is to examine the image media portrays of cannabis; based on the theory that mass media is an important influence on the individual and the way in which he or she views the world. To put the result into a context the Swedish media image will be compared with the one in Denmark and Norway.

Homelessness and homeless people is something that is described and explained in different ways over time. Since the 1950s, two discourses about homelessness and its causes has been competing with each other. One discourse hold the meaning that homelessness is caused by housing shortage and the other focus on individual shortcomings that make homeless to unsuitable tenants. In the media, homelessness and homeless often is associated with crime, addiction and mental illness, this reinforce the public perception of homeless people as deviants, which separates the homeless from society even more. The purpose of this study is to examine whether media representations of homeless and homelessness in an evening paper and a morning paper, has changed in the 2000s, and if these representations are consistent with those found in the reports of homelessness from The National Board of Wealth and Welfare. In order to achieve the purpose of the study and answer our research questions, the authors have used a discourse analytical approach using some key analytical tools from both critical discourse analysis and discourse theory in the analysis of the empirical material.

But it was not until the early 1900s that this specific genre of filmmaking became a great success. The animations were essentially short and were animated and published in The United States of America. The interest in animated movies began to increase, not only in the west, but also in Europe and Asia. The art of animation grew especially popular in Japan, and emerged as a parallel to Japanese comic books known more commonly as Manga.The history of Japanese animation is not as commonly known as the history of American animation.

Claw diseases are common diseases in modern dairy production. They are painful for the cow and costly for the producer. Differences in the prevalence of claw disease depending on housing system have previously been observed. This raises the question if there are genotype by environment (GxE) interactions for claw diseases in different housing systems. To investigate this claw trimming records for Swedish Red dairy cattle (SR) and Swedish Holstein cows (SH) were retrieved from the Swedish Dairy Association.

This study also investigates how the introduction of the first women?s division in the UFC might have affected the depiction women?s MMA in media.The theoretical framework consists of gender theory concepts such as gender performativity, the man as norm, sports and masculinity.
