Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka vilken roll olika fastighetsbolag i Malmö anser sig ha för att påverka segregationen. Vi vill se om det utförs någon styrning från företagen och om typen av ägandeform spelar någon roll för fastighetsägarnas sätt att arbeta med segregationen. Först ägnade vi oss åt litteraturstudier i det aktuella ämnet vilket vi följde upp med intervjuer i tre företag med olika ägarformer. De företag vi intervjuade hade alla olika ägandeskap såsom kommunal, kooperativ och privat. Ägandeformen har betydelse i arbetet mot segregation. Mest påtagligt är det i det privata företaget där ägaren har avgörandet om företaget skall arbeta med detta.

Background:Persons living with a mental illness often have to put up with a financial disadvantage. Their ability to work is often limited and because of that they have to rely on the welfare reform to get an income. This income is often low compared to other citizens which by itself is something strongly associated with mental illness. Purpose: The purpose in this study was to describe how people living with a mental illness experience that their economic situation has an impact on their daily life. Method: This study is a literature review containing nine scientific articles from previous research.

In Sweden live badgers are used in tests in order to train and prepare earth dogs for hunting underneath ground. This has for several years causeddebate concerning the welfare of the badgers. It is questioned whether the purpose of the dog training, i.e. to reduce injuries in both dogs and prey, is worth the suffering that is reflected on the badgers. The aim of this investigation was to study 1) stress levels in badgers when used in earth dog training, 2) if the stress load differs when the badgers are exposed to dogs with varying aggression levels (low, moderate, high).

Research where personality in animals is studied is becoming more and more common. In this area there are different concepts like behavioural syndrome and animal personality and they usually talk about consistency in behaviour over time and situations. This consistent individual behaviour can be used as an indicator of how individuals can handle and adjust to new situations in the environment. Because of this, personality studies in animals are very important in animal welfare. In this study personality in dairy cattle in lose housing were studied.

The purpose of this report was to increase knowledge regarding the co-operation between social services from the perspective of employees at a school. The focus was on the question: ?In the schools view, what is the relevance of co-operating with social services?? The problem was divided into three categories; the value of the co-operation, the schools discourse on co-operation and the balance of power in the co-operation. The scientific topic was addressed using a qualitative survey method at a school. Four people were interview; the principal, the welfare officer, and two teachers.

Tail-biting in pigs is an animal welfare issue and in Sweden during 2002 the producers lost tree million Swedish crowns because of tail biting. This economic loss depends on the pigs which are discarded at slaughter because of tail biting. Tail biting can be separated into two stages, "pre-injury" and "injury". The aim of this study is to investigate if tail biting depends on environment or genetic background.A lot of research on the environments effects on the behaviour of pigs but not so much on the genetic effects has been performed. The frequency of tail biting in pig farms influence among others of environment enrichment, ventilation, gender and breed of the pig.

AbstractCities are once again becoming the locus of economic, social and political processes. The effect of these processes on the city is two-fold: one one hand they threaten to fragment and dislocate the city and the actors within them, on the other hand they give actors within cities new opportunities to react and mobilize resources towards different strategies of integration. The latter gives rise to what Patrick Le Galès calls the collective actor-city. The aim of this thesis is to explore the notion of the city as a collective actor in a swedish context by utilizing Le Galès theory of european cities as collective actors in an abductive case study on the city of Malmoe. By utilizing Le Galès five dimensions that make up a collective actor I analyze interviews conducted with city officals aswell as documents produced from the city wide plan of action Welfare for everybody.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utreda vilken roll litteratur har och hur lärare använder litteratur i ämnet svenska som andraspråk. Genom analys av kursplanerna i svenska och svenska som andraspråk på gymnasienivå har vissa generella slutsatser dragits. Statens syn på litteraturens syfte har ställts mot vad ledande forskning säger inom området. Genom en kvalitativ undersökning med halvstrukturerade intervjuer har informanternas resonemang kopplats samman med kursplaner och teorier gällande litteratur- och språkforskning. Resultatet visar att lärarna i undersökningen använder litteraturen bland annat för att skapa situationer som inbjuder till samtal i klassrummet..

The purpose of this essay is to examine Prostitutionsgruppens ("Prostitution group") concrete operation, its organisation and how the group have changed since sexköpslagens ("sexbuy law") incorporated.Prostitutionsgruppen was founded in 1981 and have been working against prostitution. Their main goal is to reduce the damage of prostitution. Their work consists of treatment and reaching out to help prostitutes. Another part of their work is to change the public attitude towards prostitution. They act as intermediary of the knowledge they have gained through meeting people in prostitution.I have interviewed one social worker in the group and researched earlier literature.

Our purpose with this essay was to make a comparative study of the methadone programme in Sweden versus Denmark. We wanted to examine the issue by illustrating the historical and recent development of the drug political policy and the growth of the methadone programme in both countries.We chose to work with the following questions:1. What differences occur in the methadone programme if you compare the same in Denmark and Sweden? 2. How is the respective methadone programmes designed? 3.

Fotboll har under de senaste 100 åren växt till att bli en enorm företeelse i Sverige och övriga världen. Att vara fotbollsintresserad är idag en vanlig sida hos många människor, i Sverige och i övriga världen. För vissa är det identitetsskapande, och så viktigt att allt kretsar runt det fotbollslag man följer. Livet i övrigt kommer i andra hand. Det finns de som säger att fotboll är viktigare än religion för dem, eller att det är fotboll som är deras religion.Jag har i detta arbete försökt se om fotboll kan vara en religion eller fungera som en religion.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka hur fritidspedagoger och lärare ser på fritidspedagogers yrkesroll. För att undersöka hur yrkesrollen upplevs har vi intervjuat några verksamma fritidspedagoger och lärare. Vi har även undersökt yrket ur ett historiskt perspektiv och hur yrkesrollen har förändrats. Genom litteratur och empiri i form av intervjuer har vi kommit fram till att yrkesrollen och fritidspedagogernas arbetsuppgifter upplevs som otydliga, framförallt under skoltid. Det saknas riktlinjer för vad fritidspedagogens roll är, vilket gör att fritidspedagogen ofta själv får tolka sin roll och göra den till sin egen.

Denna studies syfte var att undersöka de komplementära behandlingsmetoderna som finns att tillgå vid behandling av kronisk ländryggssmärta, deras effektivitet samt vilken roll sjuksköterskan har. Studien utfördes genom en litteratursökning. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar granskades enligt kriterier av Polit och Beck (2006) samt Willman m fl (2006). Vid analysen kunde resultaten sedan delas in i fyra huvudkategorier; psykologiska behandlingsmetoder, behandling genom fysisk aktivitet, behandling med hjälpmedel och behandling med händerna. Som teoretisk referensram användes Carnevalis omvårdnadsmodell.

Rapporten beskriver en longitudinell studie av hur föräldrar uttrycker sitt tänkande om lärande i vardagslivet och i skolan. Syfte är att beskriva och lyfta fram variationer av hur föräldrar uttrycker sitt tänkande mot bakgrund av skolans styrdokument. I litteraturdelen beskrivs styrdokument i ett historiskt perspektiv, tidigare forskning, framtidsperspektiv samt en teoretisk utgångspunkt för studien. I den empiriska delen beskrivs den fenomenografiska ansatsen där föräldrar uttryckt sina tankar i djupintervjuer vid två olika tidsperioder. Resultatet har analyserats och därefter kategoriserats och kategorierna presenteras därefter i hierarkiska eller horisontella kategorier.

The purpose is to examine social workers view of vulnerable children and their needs. We are also interested to know how social workers think and discuss concerning the help these children are given. Our main questions in our study are; How do social workers define vulnerable children? Which needs do vulnerable children have according to social workers? Which opportunities and difficulties might there be in the decision making when trying to help these children? Which public authorities do social workers cooperate with? Which opportunities and difficulties do social workers find in the cooperation?This study is based upon interviews with ten social workers in the social childcare division in different municipalities in Skåne region, Sweden. Our results are explained and analyzed with a qualitative approach through different aspects of power- and Human Service Organization theories.
