The purpose with this essay was to analyse the view of parental leave in the public and private labour market. How does the economical compensation affect the parent's use of parental leave, with focus on the fathers "earmarked" months? Were there any differences in private companies and public organisations? We chose to look at past research and theories about father/men's usage of "60 day parental leave" from a point of gender and equality perspective. In regard to our questions we preformed qualitative, semi structural interviews. We picked people at random to interview at both private companies and public organisations that had or had not extra economical compensations except what the social insurance office paid during parental leave.

Under 1900-talet har synen på ideella organisationer och deras roll i samhället skiftat. Från att ha varit de som i stort sett stod för samhällets sociala omsorg till att ha en marginal roll under välfärdsstatens storhetstid är de nu åter på framfart. I slutet av 1990-talet och början av 2000-talet har det från regeringens sida lagt allt mer fokus på att stärka kommunernas stöd till anhöriga som vårdar äldre och sjuka, och framförallt på att ge de frivilliga en roll i detta. Det har avsatts stimulansmedel för ett utvecklat anhörigstöd och ett krav för att få del av pengarna är att kommunerna ska använda minst en femtedel av bidraget till försöksverksamhet med nya eller fördjupade former för samverkan med frivilliga och ideella krafter. I en av Skånes kommuner bedrivs det sedan år 2005 ett sådant projekt och uppsatsens syfte är att kartlägga hur kommunen och de frivilliga upplevt samarbetet i just detta projekt. Dessutom kommer samarbetet att analyseras utifrån teorier om frivilligsektorns roll och samverkan.

The purpose was to look into the pattern of consumption among middleage women. Our questions were how women experienced the need to consume, how they defined the expression of consumption and if there was a difference between "shopping" and "buying". The research has been done through eight qualitative interviews and searching in litterature, illuminating our questions.All women defined consumption as satisfying basic needs. According to them everything bought on a daily bases is consumption. More difficult to define was the experience of "need".

I detta examensarbete på kandidatnivå är huvudsyftet att undersöka psykologiska testers praktiska användning och vilken roll de har vid urvalet i chefsrekryteringsprocesser. Som delsyfte undersöks även de olika stegen i dessa processer. En kvalitativ undersökning med en abduktiv ansats har genomförts, där åtta rekryterare från olika rekryteringsföretag har intervjuats med fokus på dessa syften. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade, och samtliga intervjuer spelades in och transkriberades, för att sedan analyseras med Constant Comparative Method. Resultatet visade att rekryterarna har en relativt samstämmig bild av den praktiska användningen av psykologiska tester, samt den roll dessa spelar i en chefsrekryteringsprocess.

AbstractSAAB has for a long time used user controlled pilot models in ARES. ARES is a simulation tool used in the desktop environment for simulations and calculations of the JAS 39 Gripen fighter and other aircraft. ARES stands for ?Aircraft Rigid body Engineering Simulation?. To work with these pilot models has been both time-consuming and inefficient.

This literature review examines different forages which are well suited for suckle cow production in Sweden today. They should also be possible to cultivate in Sweden under the current circumstances. Crops suitable for grazing in Swedish climate but not used in Sweden today, but which may be relevant for Swedish conditions are also mentioned. In Sweden today, mainly grass silage, straw and hay are used as forage, but also wholecrop silage is used to some extent. However, concentrates are not used to a greater extent, since it contains too much energy.

The purpose of this essay is to study how the local creators of a "master plan" for the swedish city Kristinehamn, the years between 1940 to -43, looked on their planning. It is an analysis of ideas case study. A hypothesis is upheld for the research: that the local physical planning had largely extended ambitions what regards central state control in a way that is similar to planned economy. Questions that are asked include: Was the planning assumed to be a tool for the state to regulate the environment? Can the planning be seen as a mean to control the society in time and space? The essay search for verification of the hypothesis by a theoretical analysis apparatus made upp of ideal types.

Children's Need In Focus (BBIC) is a processing and documentation system used in child welfare cases to investigate, plan and monitor interventions. The BBIC has had a breakthrough in Sweden and out of the country's 290 municipalities, there are 284 that use the system daily as a tool in cases involving children. The purpose of this study was to examine how social workers experience the BBIC as a working system and what strengths and weaknesses there are in the BBIC concept. We wanted our study to examine how the BBIC could possibly enhance the quality of childcare matters, but also how the BBIC could potentially increase children's participation in cases. We have performed qualitative interviews with eight social workers who work in four different municipalities where the BBIC is applied daily.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka gymnasielärares uppfattning om lärobokens roll i svenskundervisningen på gymnasiet, samt hur de resonerar kring sin användning av läroböcker i undervisningen. Det empiriska materialet bygger på 5 semistrukturerade intervjuer med lärare av olika ålder och yrkeserfarenhet. Studiens resultat och analys sätts i relation till befintlig forskning inom området.Resultatet av visar att gymnasielärarna i första hand ser läroboken som ett komplement, eller som ett läromedel av flera. Samt att lärobokens roll i undervisningen varierar baserat på vilken del av svenskämnet, den språkliga eller den litteraturvetenskapliga som läraren talar om. Här framgår att fyra av de fem tillfrågade lärarna upplever sig ha större användning av läroboken både i förarbetet samt den konkreta undervisningen när det kommer till den språkliga delen av ämnet, medan de i större utsträckning använder sig av övrig- eller egenproducerat material i den litteraturvetenskapliga delen av undervisningen.Det tydligaste resultatet som går att utläsa av vår studie, vilket även finner stöd i den befintliga forskningen inom ämnet, är att det som i första hand avgör lärobokens roll i undervisningen är lärarens subjektiva uppfattning om professionen och läraruppdraget, vilket faller tillbaka på den enskilda lärarens behov av kreativ frihet, deras pedagogiska och politiska grundsyn samt deras ämnes- och kunskapssyn..

The Swedish reindeer husbandry has had economic difficulties for some years. Due to this, and the fact that the reindeer husbandry plays an important role in Sámi culture, the Swedish state has chosen to support the industry. If these grants where to be withdrawn, the reindeer husbandry as well as the Sámi culture would decrease, which would cause welfare losses for the people living in Sweden. The aim of this study was to elicit what the Swedes are willing to pay to maintain the amount of reindeer husbandry and Sámi culture. By using Contingent Valuation and a survey the willingness to pay was estimated.

The purpose of this essay was to study the family situation in connection to the absence of one parent due to participation in international peacekeeping and peace enforcement operations. Focus was on the temporarily absent parent's point of view. The study was based on five interviews with parents shortly after their returning home. The main questions has been how the parent described the child-parent relationship before, during and after the absence; the children's experience during this time according to the parent and the family's adjusting to and coping with the situation. Conclusions made from the study show that with a good stabile child-parent relationship and good parenting skills of both parents the families in this study were successful in coping with the situation.

In light of health scandals and intense debate in the media about the elderly, the authors investigates two Swedish newspaper and their depiction of elder care in Sweden. Using Faircloughs three-dimensional model and critical discourse analysis, it is investigated if there is a more prominent discourse and if so the impact of globalization on this discourse concerning swedish elderly care. A sample of a total of ten articles in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter is analyzed. The authors found that older people who are granted home help or place of accommodation rarely make their voices heard. Rarely were also relatives of residents given the opportunity to speak.

I carried out six interviews in a "resource-school". The pupils were between ten and fifteen years old and they were all boys with a conduct disorder. The purpose of my study was to find out how the pupils experience school and with that starting point I wanted to contribute to the understanding and the importance of the "resource-school" for the pupils' development. My main questions have been to investigate what the pupils recall from their earlier schools, what they consider to be the difference between their current school and earlier schools, why do they attend this school, do they see it like a punishment or a possibility and how do they see their future.One conclusion I got to in my study was the pupils' relation to the staff. Here they found reliable grown ups with whom they created a positive relation to, which gave them better possiblities to develop and grow stronger.

Abstract The Act of Education outlines that good quality in schools and preschools, focusing on continuous improvement, promote children?s learning and this in turn is on of the most important factors for child and youth welfare.This thesis was based on the authors´ pre-understanding that there are opportunities to improvement in the quality of preschools. The focus was on studying how analyses can provide a base for quality work, and the purpose of this study was to identify and describe the analytical methods that can be used in the process of continual improvement for quality development in preschools.A qualitative study was conducted in two preschools that have received quality awards. It was conducted through interviews with the preschool principals and through studies of various documents.In the comparative analysis of theory and empirical data, it was made clear that there was a regular analysing process going on at the investigated preschools and an emphasize of reflection could also be identified. Keywords: Quality development, preschool, analytical methods, processes, reflection .
